I have a Shih Tzu that I have been taking elsewhere to be groomed. I had heard from a friend that they do an excellent job at this Petsmart so I decided to give them a try. I figured that they were actually a little bit cheaper than the place I usually go to, and if I ended up not liking the haircut... Oh well. Its hair, it will grow back (too fast if I may say). The first thing I noticed when I walked in the store was how clean it was. The other store I went to always had an odd smell, but I figured it was because it was old. I had Maggie, my Shih Tzu, with me. As I was walking back to the grooming salon (which by the way is the only thing I wish different about the store, the fact that the grooming is all the way in the back sort of hidden), an employee walked past and notice Maggie. She was so friendly to maggie you would have thought she was her own dog. Maggie is usually a bit timid, but she imediately went up to her and wagged her tail. Even I was getting a good vibe from this girl. When I got back to the salon, I deduced that the girl I had talked to was a groomer from the all black outfit. The salon was very clean and surprisingly didnt smell like wet dog like I thought it would. An older lady helped me and I soon found out that she would be my groomer. She looked over Maggie and made comments about how pretty she was. The lady seemed to be very detailed on what she wanted to know, which I was glad for since I feel like Im a pretty picky person. She also explained to me that a nail grinding would benefit both me and maggie, by getting her nails shorter and smoothing them out. I received a call about 3 1/2 hours later (earlier than I thought) letting me know my "Baby" was ready to go home. She is my Baby, I really liked that. When I picked her up, SHE WAS GORGEOUS!. I could see her eyes again, she had precious pink bows in her ears, and best of all she was happy and wagging her tail. They have a customer for life now and I will deffinately recommend them to my friends!

i have 3 year old maltese and took him for the full grooming (haircut, oral care, nail care, anal gland, ear care etc...). I showed them an old picture of him and tell them to make him look like that. When he came back, he looked totally different from the pix. They pretty much shave his body with a clipper and left the face and tail hair almost the same length. I was very very very dissapointed. When we went home and looked at his nails they were still long and i think they forgot to do the nail care. I did not go yell at them because i am not from US and thought maybe we think differently??? But I took him there again for nail care after failing to cut his nails straight on my own plus i am new to Allen and didnt know where else to take him. We told the lady there that we were not happy with the outcome last time and when he came back, the nails were short and grounded, which proved that they forgot to do it last time. When you ask for the full care, be sure to check your dogs before going home. I give points for the staff @ hospital they were very helpful.

This PetSmart has a very good selection prices are decent although many things are cheaper online I like the convince of being able to buy things immediately. The fish section has very good quality fish I stocked my tank with fish mostly from this PetSmart and they are all doing great 2 years later. Only complaint is they seem understaffed I usually have to find an employee for help as the only ones I can see when walking around are at the cash register.

I just called this location to ask if they carried a specific brush, the Groom Ninja. I spoke to Melissa. Her response "ummm I dont know." I asked if she could check. She said, "well, I pretty much know what we have. We have the furminator and this other one thats like a knot brush, and after that its just regular brushes." Soooo what if the one Im looking for is one of those "regular brushes." Great work, Melissa.

Was very interested in a guinea pig and well just called and they sold her. Was going to get her when I returned from vacation. Very disappointed with the service. I gave my number to the girl working there and she was like more then likely she wouldnt go on the floor. Well guess that was a lie. I will be taking my business to petco or another pet shop. I really thought I would get her but apparently now I wont.

Clean. Staff are friendly. We can always find what we want. One of our cats has special dietary needs, and this is the only place that stocks that type of food. Great place to bring kids so they can check out the cats and crawly insects.

They dont have a grooming manager. After a wash from a girl named Mari my dogs had the worst ear infection. I called the center to tell them and they seemed to be dismissive.

Great place. Clean and organized. The fish section is great. They really know their stuff and take care of their fish. Only place I go for my fish and cat.

Its a pretty decent PetSmart. It has most of the supplies you need, but there selection of animals you can adopt is somewhat small

Only place I shop for Honeybun!! Banfield rocks and I would suggest them to anyone. Wellness plan is the only way for my pet!
