Lifeview Outdoors is a great place to go when you are looking for top notch clothing, knives, camping, and tacti-cool gear. Its a small store but packed with great stuff. The guy that runs it, Mike, only sells stuff that he knows is a good product. He strives to carry USA made socks and knives, as well as some USA made clothing from AYG and Polartec, and knows all of the details about all of his merchandise. If you are looking for real government issue Type II para-cord, talk to Mike. Hes got almost all the colors that our troops actually use and will be happy to show you the difference between the real government issue stuff and the knock of mil-spec cord that youve likely picked up at places like Greene Military or on-line. Know your Type II cord, folks!!! (Take this from an ex-Army parachute rigger!) The ONLY complaint that I have is this; his prices are a touch higher than you can get stuff elsewhere (online) on some items. Other items are about what youd give elsewhere. Even though his knives are a priced a bit more than I could get from places like Amazon, I still go here. Simply because I can put my hands on them and shoot the breeze while doing it.

With 10 years prior service and an avid backpacker. I can tell you this is the best gear shop in Nashville. Staff are product knowledgeable, friendly and overall intelligent people. Yeah, its a small space. However, when you have only the best gear and the largest inventory of that product in the area, they make the big stores seem tiny. For instance, if you only carry a full inventory of the two best footwear brands. You can filter out all of the useless space. I understand the best gear is a matter of opinion. But, until youve put 80 miles on a pair of boots over rough terrain carrying heavy equipment, in just a few days. Then its no longer opinion as much as experience.

I was in need of some high quality backpacking gear, so I visited the LifeView Outdoors storefront in Nashville last week. They had a great selection of high end products and I was very impressed with the informative but no pressure help I got from the store owner, Mike. He extremely knowledgable and laid back, and gave solid advice while leaving room for me to satisfy my own preferences and bias. I was outfitted with a great pair of hiking pants, fire starters, and fixed-blade knife. Because I only had time to check out the backpacking gear, I cant wait to go back and spend more time stewing over the tactical gear. Visiting LifeView was a great experience.

Great company! They have a great selection of quality gear. I went to the physical store and found the staff was very knowledgeable. The prices are good. I asked for recommendations and feel I was steered to quality and value items and not just the most expensive. Its great to find a store that has selection, knowledge, and fair prices simultaneously where you dont have to spend hours to days researching products and prices. Mike and the guys at LifeView are really the best. Their selection of outdoors/tactical/etc... products are the top-of-the-line and their prices are incredible! I recently shopped in their store and was so blown away with their patience as Mike helped me find the right items for my camping trip and helped with answers to all my questions. The staff has knowledge that only comes from experience and they have put the time into each company that they carry to ensure that you are presented with quality on every shelf.

Small place off the beaten path but their selection is solid, prices are spot on, and employees are crazy knowledgeable. My wife and I just moved from Houston so we arent used to having so much nature close by and were just getting into hiking and camping--Kevin walked us through all the basics and gave us a lot of helpful info without ever being forward or pushy in the salesman department. Its neat to see a store run by actual enthusiasts not just out to make a buck. Well definitely be back!

I was looking for the Lowa zephyr GTX boots. NO one in the country had the color and size I was looking for, including Lowa themselves. Finally I was able to find this place and sure enough they had the boots. Mike was extremely helpful over the phone and took the order. I believe when I get the boots, I can add to this review how the boots are which Im sure they are great. Nice place to d business with!
