Theyve always come through for me when I needed something, and their holiday sales are fantastic. My only complaint is the employees. They dont really know what theyre talking about with most of the products and I was given wrong directions to find something in the store. On my last visit I had completely forgotten my debit card at home so I asked a lady at the front counter to hold my items for me, and she gave me slight attitude about it. I came back and bought the items not even 15 minutes later and she acted like it was such an inconvenience for her even though there was no one in line at that time.

I come here often to check out their firearm stock and their other hunting goods. I am younger so I often get a condescending tone from firearm departments, but not here. Almost every time I come here, I have a good conversation with the associates and they are friendly to give advice. Everything else in the store is also clean and the atmosphere is nice. Certainly my favorite sporting good store around town!

They have an assortment of all major sports and Outdoor needs. Academy has clothing from major brand names such as Nike Under Armour and Carhartt just to name a few. They have a great selection of hunting gear as well. The staff has always been very friendly and helpful every time Ive gone in. I definitely recommend a visit!!!

My wife bought me a smoker and had it shipped to our house and when I unpacked it there was a big dent in the side. Academy offered to send another one but instead we drove an hour to Madison Alabama and swapped it there. It was a bad situation but the staff were really good at what they do and I appreciate that.

So I really had no desire to go to this store until one day there was a wait at my favorite restaurant next door. So I went in just to browse on that day. To my surprise there was a wide variety of things to choose from and a variety of prices and sale items. I have been back a few times since then.

I went there with my dad to spend over $200. We asked for assistance to buy something and they said someone would be right over. We were waiting for over 30 minutes before we finally had to get a manager to get some help. If you want to spend money, dont spend it here if you want good quality help.

As advertised. Best everyday prices (on most items). Firearms can be had at nearby places for much less than Academys. Brand name clothing and accessories, however, cannot be purchased for less. There were plenty of employees available for questions and were eager to offer help.

I visit this location on a regular basis and rarely do they have what I need. I specifically go to academy for fishing supplies and they are always out of the popular colors for the area I fish. If they can learn how to keep items in stock it would be a great store.

I never have issues here. No one ever asks if I need help, but I generally go knowing what I need. I mention it for those people who dont know what they need when they go. Over all good experience though. Always clean and organized and checkout is usually quick.

I got my gun here. I was surprised and impressed by their selection as a new gun owner. I didnt realize they sold guns until I was researching local gun shops and Academy came up. I dont really do sports, but if you want a pistol, its not a bad place to look.

We picked up the wrong size item so we needed to return it. There were none on the shelves, but they went out of their way to look in the back to see if they had more in. Within minutes, we had what we needed and was on our way.

Terrible golf section. Only reason to go to academy for golf would be to get cheap stuff for someone you dont want to spend a lot of money. If you want quality golf equipment go to dicks sporting goods.

NOT better prices at Wal-Mart or Amazon. Academy has their own lines of some items. Cant beat the prices. Some of the name brand items can be a little more, but still competitive.
