Had an unfortunate experience with a manager that was very rude to me. I tried purchasing a daily fishing license there. They had a problem with their computer system and gave me a phone number to call. I called that number after leaving and was told that I had to go back to the store to deposit the license into my account. When calling them on the phone the manager didnt just refuse, he talked condescendingly to me in a very rude way. I understand if something goes against policy but theres no need to belittle a person over the phone when he was following the exact instructions given to him by one of the employees of the store. Needless to say, I will not be back.

"Santa" recently go me some ammo from here, I have a .22 rifle and .223 was what was purchased. A staff member told "Santa" that .223 would work. It was a bucket of 300 rounds costing over $100 and now we cannot return it due to their no return policy on ammo, even if its unopened. I get that policy is for safety, but that still pretty sucky that their employee screwed us out of $100 and couldnt find a way to compensate us.

Some of the best prices at a retail store for the type of products they sell and they have a really good selection! Just bought an awesome pair of Under Armour Slingride sneakers that are made out of super comfortable knit material called Dyneema fiber! I love

The quality of the shoes you sell have really suffered i looked for 2 hrs and could not fine any worth buying. And Academy sports use to have fairly good quality shoes now they cheaply made its really sad ,my experience was unsatisfactory.

I have found so many items that were the exact same price online—Academy doesnt mark things up ridiculously, and they always have what I need. In this smaller-feeling store, most of the employees enjoy their job and want to help you.
