I went in gander Mountain and they had a Smith & Wesson pistol that was marked $149 and I told the guy that I would like to buy it and he said okay and then when he started to take it out of the case he told me sir thats the wrong price we cant let you have it for $149 so I talked to the assistant manager of the store and he was rude and walked away got in a vehicle and left and then Ill talk to the store manager bill and he was very rude also he informed me that that was the wrong price and I asked him what he honor it and he told me know that he would not so I suggest going to Woods and Water or Academy Sports and Outdoors or hell go to Walmart they just dont sell pistols they sell shotguns and rifles and ammunition but I would suggest nobody to go in Gander Mountain in Tuscaloosa Alabama on McFarland Boulevard East because they will not honor the prices thats on their merchandise and they are very rude. Just a friendly reminder not to shop at Gander mountain. The store manager Bill DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRICES THATS CLEARLY MARKED ON THEIR PRODUCTS. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT YALL GO TO GUNS AND AMMO ON GREENSBORO AVE RIGHT BESIDE THE TEXACO AND ACROSS FROM THE OLD DODGE DEALERSHIP OR GO TO EZ PAWN SHOP AND SEE CHAD. HE IS A VERY HELPFUL GUY. But I will not give Gander mountain anymore of my money. I HAVE ALOT OF MEN,WOMEN,CHILDREN and friends that hunt,fish and target practice and Ill continue to remind them not to spend any of their time or money in Gander mountain. It was a stupid idea to start with to put Gander mountain in Tuscaloosa ALABAMA to start with because Tuscaloosa already had enough hunting,fishing and sporting goods stores here to start with. Really smart idea to put a over priced store here and it was aextremely smart idea to put a store manager like Bill in charge to keep the customers ran away.

Was told 608$ OUT THE DOOR on a gun purchase when I showed up with 610$ in hand to make purchase mgr told me NO they wouldnt honor salesmans quote over the phone.. MGR became extremly passive aggressive and apathetic towards my situation. What a joke these people are along with EXTREMELY high prices. Go to ACADEMY SPORTS or WOODS & WATERS save yourself the trouble of dealing with HUNDREDS in mark up accompanied by incompetent staff! Would like to add it was the floor model as well not even NIB!!!

I went to Gander Mountain a few days ago to get a feel for a new pair of boots for work. A footwear associate, Kimberly M., was extremely helpful whether it was quickly finding boots in the back room, kindly greeting me, and understanding exactly what it was I was looking for. Although I was just looking in store, I look forward to buying the pair that Kimberly picked out for me and really appreciated her help and her kindness. I look forward to returning to this store.

I love this store. They usually have everything that I am looking for when I go into it. The prices on some things my cost you a few dollars more sometimes but, if you want whatever it is your looking for at that time, spending a few more dollars on it is worth it. Instead of driving all over town or ordering on line. If you can wait a week or so then you could always order on line. The store is well organized and very clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Kinda rubs you the wrong way when theyre going to charge me another $30.00 to mount and bore site my scope after I just bought a pair of $70.00 rings. I guess thats what you get when you bring a big business that doesnt understand its customer base. Other shops in town bore site for free regardless of purchase. I wont be back.

I purchased a few things today, some lightweight boots, Ammo can, Mission First Tactical M4 rails x3, some spare lights, Molle Pouch and a few other odds and ends. ///// I HAD TO GO BACK, THE DEALS ARE GOOD AT GANDER , I HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO GET SOME OF THEIR GUNSMITHING TOOLS, ETC, LOOKED BARELY TOUCHED! THANKS GUYS

Been a while since Ive had a chance to visit this location.....stopped by about 30 minutes til closing....went to the fishing section and was promptly greeted by Steven G.....didnt end up buying anything but had a pleasant shopping experience and got some Striper Fishing advice....

We thought the rewards card the cashier offered was a savings card.she never said credit card. When we got the welcome packet in the mail my husband called and canceled the card. I just got a bill for the $5 we saved last month!! Never again will we shop here!!

Horrible customer service and very rude managers. Even after calling Academy and confirming they had the product i wanted in my size for a cheaper price they wouldnt match the price. Then the manager got an attitude with me. Will never shop their again.

Went here because they were having a store closing sale and I figured out why they were closing. Its because even with a 20-50% discount on all items store wide their merchandise was still to expensive.

Good selection of camping and hunting gear . Its got plenty of room to shop . Bad thing about the store is they are going out of business. They may have already went out of business.

Stood at the gun counter looking at hand guns for 20 minutes no one ever ask if they could help me but every man that walked up they were right there. I will not shop here again.
