Simply put, it took seven weeks to receive a call stating my kayak had arrived. Starting from the beginning, I ordered my kayak via website. Received email order confirmation for my kayak same day. I used Paypal. The money was removed from my account the following Monday. Called a week later to check status and they hadnt processed the order yet. Called the following week and still no update though the order had been processed. Called again the last week of June. At that point, the owner contacted me through text stating they have called me several times trying to inform me that my order arrived(incorrect). He sent pictures of two kayaks...both being incorrect. Owner said it was his fault(obviously) and that he would get the proper kayak ordered. Contacted him the following week asking for a projected arrival date. He then stated that he had ordered the kayak but didnt have an arrival date. At that point, I opened a dispute through Paypal. After no response, I escalated it to a claim. The day before the last day for them to dispute my claim, they called saying it arrived. That was a Thursday evening. I called the next day to inform them that I would be there to pick it up on Saturday. When I walked into the store Saturday morning, they were in the process of trying to sell the kayak to a walk-in customer. But, I did at least walk out of the store with the kayak.

I can only hope this store has plans on getting organized. Maybe they could sell one of thier over priced kayak rigs, and invest in a price gun, nothing has a price on it except for the reflective stripes which come from the factory with 10 bucks printed on them. They do have quite a few accessories but without a price who wants to have to ask for the price on everything one might want to buy. This is mainly a kayak fishing store but there is nothing there you couldnt get at walmart or bass pro. I believe they could be a really nice store if they were a little more organized and didnt work on the yaks on the main floor. Everything that they sale could fit in the back of a truck. This is not a negative review just hopefully they will read this and learn. Appearance is everything from the outside you think yeah nice store on the inside you will be very dissatisfied. I will return in a weeks to see if things have gotten better, but for now i think ill keep using bass pro.

The customer service and the time they spent with me was outstanding. I walked in on the fence and a week away from my purchase time. I was able to sit in the kayaks and see if I was comfortable with the seat... I wasnt pressured and was able to make a decision on which way to go. Very, very happy with my choice and again the customer service. Have gone back for accessories and again always helpfull.

Placed an online order and there were some issues with shipping time. Called to check on the order and ended up cancelling. Refund was issued immediately and received a follow up call from Chris apologizing for the mistake and offered several solutions to make it right. 4 stars because of the way they do business and I definitely plan to check out the retail store in person.

Hook 1 is a refreashing addition to Middle TN. This is NOT the same old "no it all" tackle shop that we have been forced to deal with for years. The staff at Hook 1 is proffesional, intelligent, and more than willing to help. As someone new to Kayak fishing I couldnt have been succesfully nearly as fast with out the help of Hook 1.

Wow, this place is amazing! If you are wanting to learn more about kayak fishing and a place that can provide all the equipment and expertise this is definitely the place to go. They have a huge selection of fishing gear and kayaks and staff that loves what they do! I highly recommend them!

Dont answer emails about products. I was planning on spending about 2 grand on a boat and they never responded to questions submitted through the website. I moved on. They might be a good retailer if you get face to face tho.
