Very poor customer service. I was looking for a particular product that I saw online but wanted to check out in person before buying it. The product I was looking for was made by a brand that I have seen carried in other bass pro shops so I figured they probably had it but I wanted to call and make sure they had it before driving all the way to the store. The customer service desk transferred me to one department where they asked me to hang up, call back, and ask for another department. When I did so I was put on hold until the system hung up on me. I figured there was some malfunction and drove out there anyway. At the store I didnt see the product where it should be and asked an employee if they were out of stock or just never carry the item. The employee sat on his phone that he admitted doesnt get reception in store to look up the product because looking it up on the phone saved him from checking in the back of the store. After 10 minutes of starring at this guy on his phone another employee came along and tried to sell me something that was completely different and finally told me to check in another department (which I already knew certainly wouldnt have it). I have called other sports retail stores, asked the customer service in person at other stores, and had no problem giving them the brand name and product name and asking them to check if they have it in stock. I have also never had a salesperson not know what I was talking about when I describe a product made by a popular name brand that their department carries. I dont want to get into what I was looking for but it would be akin to looking for an underarmor hunting shirt in the hunting department, having one salesman check his phone rather than check something in person, another salesman taking me to the hunting pants, and lastly being told to check in apparel even though all the hunting clothing is in their department.

I believe you need to go over customer service etiquette! Due to my experience tonight I will NEVER buy anything from yall again!! My husband and I were browsing around tonight and wondered over to the gun area, I was trying to get a Christmas idea. I asked the man to show me two guns and explained to him I just wanted to see the size difference. He would not show them to me and instead told me I wanted different gun. I tried to explain to him that I had some physical issue so I really had to be careful with my purchase, but I dont think he was truly cared. I also tried to explain to him that Im a beginner and to explain these terms differently, I jokingly told him I can handle a dog better than a gun. Then he told me an attack dog was worthless because you can kill them easily. Afterwards he dicided to share a personal story how his own dog turned on him so he stuck his hand down the dogs throat and "ripped his throat out" I was shocked! I believe he realized his mistake and tried his best to convince me it was humane! BULLSHIT! I am a veterinary technician and I have devoted my life to caring for animals! Im so disgusted with this man! Everytime I hear "Bass Pro Shop" this story will be what I think about! I dont understand how ANY part of this experience was customer service friendly! He was a typical pushy salesman that intimidated me, made me feel dumb and then shared a gruesome personal story.

Bass Pro Shop of Leeds Alabama was the greatest! The staff was super friendly and helpful. My wife has a walking disability, we 1st walked in and sat down on the couch to look thru a sales flyer. while sitting there the greeter came over and asked if she would like a motorized cart. We told him that would be good, he told us to sit there and he would be right back and he returned quickly with her motorized cart. He instructed us on how to get upstairs and told her when we were finished to just came back to the front for assistant when leaving. While inside the store shopping several of the staff were friendly and helpful in assisting us while shopping. We have never had such a personal and friendly experience shopping before, When we thanked them for their help they said "No, thank you for shopping with us." Bass Pro Shop of Leeds Alabama I promise you I will return. Thanks!

Been coming to this store since it opened. Recently bought a new trolling motor for my bass and unfortunately the very first time I used it the pull handle broke (motor guide). Took it back and got a refund. Went to pick out a minn-Kota like I should have done in the first place. While talking to the sales person another older man yells over to the salesman asking about rebates. In mid conversation the sales man walks over to the man and just leaves me standing there. Absolutely rediculous given the amount of money Ive spent there in the last month! Wont have to worry about me or anyone I know spending money there anymore! Your customer service is a joke and your in-store sales staff are extremely rude and unhelpful! Edit: Just left field and stream in Hoover, AL. Night and day difference in customer service! Dont pass it up on the way to BPS.

Honestly I think its a bit much. The way there is made to look all woodsy like youre driving through some wilderness and there are signs about catching big fish near some ponds but of course fishing isnt actually allowed there. Cute, but I can think of better things to take up all that space. Likely the actual wonders of the outdoors that naturally occur and that would be there if a huge Bass Pro Shop wasnt taking up so much space. Two stories of overpriced gear and showy junk like an indoor aquarium type area and a pay per game "shooting range". Alright, see it once and you dont ever need to experience it again. Tourist trap.

The past couple of years we have always come to have Santa pictures taken and also use this time for Christmas shopping. This year they changed up the Santa pictures with some mythical tickets that must be harder to get than a Willy Wonka golden ticket. This wouldnt have been so bad if the maybe explained it on their website. Instead we were met with very rude customer service and the equivalent of "Santa is here but not seeing anyone else, good luck some other time" We ended up at the Summit with much better photos, excellent customer service and staff that seem to genuinely want you in their store.

We come here maybe 1 other time per year outside of the visit to see Santa Clause. This time around we arrived around 6:00pm to learn that Santa will not be seeing anyone. So we still took the opportunity to ride the merry go round and the kids art section which was fun for my kids. My wife and I did take a stroll around to see some the items on sale... wow! Those cant be sale prices as they are regular prices at like stores. Certainly not the best bargain prices Ive seen. Im sure we will be back to see Santa as we cant break family tradition of seeing BPS Santa.
