I dealt with Danny in the firearms section and he was wonderful. They did give me the wrong size choke for my gun but then said they would mail me the correct one because I live about an hour and a half away. Gun selection there is about the best I have seen around including local area competitors. I was really floored with the way they treated me, their knowledge, honesty, and professionalism. They made their mistake in giving me the wrong choke by accident better in a flash. Prices on firearms were the same if not better than other area chain stores. Selection on ammo was very nice and they also told me what has worked best for them for different game. All in all it was a pleasant experience and I will continue to do business with Gander Mtn. in the future and even more when a location (hopefully) comes in closer to me!! Thanks for everything again!

We have been loyal customers to Gander since they opened this location in 2014. we went into the store on Monday looking for a product that we had seen in there before. After looking ourselves, I went up to a gentleman in firearms asking about the product. He informed me that they didnt carry that. After acting like he wasnt worried about us or the product... we were on our way out. A nice man named Thomas stopped to ask if we had found everything okay. After telling him what we were looking for, he took us right to it. Later I found out that the first gentleman was the new firearms manager. Really? You are going to be a manager but not know your firearm products? Thanks to Thomas and Alecia for stepping up while other employees (that are supposedly your boss) are slacking.

The reason this chain is going bankrupt is because of poor customer service, high prices, you dont know where theyre at in less you search for them despite their good locations, management is horrible for retail, even worse for a gun shop I bet if the CEO cleaned house and re-staffed with aggressive friendly people with an incentive to do business it would probably be profitable. There is no pleasure going to the store except to put hands on things that are way overpriced. Their biggest competitor is probably Amazon for everything except firearms, their biggest competitor in firearms is any other gun shop besides their own. Im disappointed because I would really like to see this chain do well but miss management doesnt seem to allow that

As a Gander Mountain card holder I give it 4 stars for service and selection, but the gun prices are 20% higher than any other store in the area, not to mention some accessories as well. Ammunition not competitive either. You have to do your due diligence and price match on every purchase, but you shouldnt have to do that. For example. A S&W 686 Plus runs $750 plus tax and tic at most stores in a 100 mile radius. $899 there. They need to do a better job on their pricing and pay attention to local markets better in order to stay competitive. If they did that sales would soar and their Mount Juliet store would stay a lot busier.

Hands down the worst gun sales department i have ever dealt with. Second time i have drove over 45 mins to purchase a gun here only to stand at the counter for over 30 mins while the employees sit and talk to their friends. The older guy with black hair and glasses finally acknowledged that i had been waiting for forever and said he would be right with me only to go walk around the store then come back and start helping someone that had just walked up. Worst customer service ever and the manager could care less. Take your money elsewhere!

This location was highly disappointing. We enjoy shopping at Gander mountain, at other locations. I was on a cross-country trip and plan on making a major purchase at the gander mountain in Tulsa - but I unexpectantly became ill and had to go to St Thomas Hospital - trip ruined I figured I could still make the purchase - no such luck. No one in the store and knowledged my presence. They were working on computers and wouldnt help - so Im headed back to NC will find another store to frequent!

Ive been several times and bought two pistols in the last year. The selection and prices are excellent, however the customer service at the firearms counter is horrible! I always have to ask for help and still wait even longer for the employees to get done jaw jacking before I get any assistance. In conclusion, get selection and prices with piss poor customer service. I will not return to this store.

Love this place! The selection is great, and the employees are knowledgeable and know how to help you. Please note that they are marketing to the higher class niche, though, so youll spend a lot in there. I went in with specific instructions: I wanted a warm, thin jacket that was nice and comfortable. Within minutes, the employee found something that I loved!

This is a great place for impulse buys. Shooting accessories like gun cases, targets and bulk shotgun are okay. All of their firearm prices are out of line with other local stores. I know they price match but I shouldnt have to find it cheaper some where else, so youll give me a fair price. However, the store has a lot to offer through other departments.

Extremely over priced on firearms and ammunition. Most of the camping gear appears to be their own named brand made in China garbage. Almost impossible to find a competent employee. Dont waste your fuel or time. Make the trip to REI for your outdoor needs (minus firearms) and be happy.

Store is overall clean, even though it doesnt look very busy Ive had several issues finding team members to assist me on multiple occasions and left empty handed. When I did find what I was looking for and checked out it was pleasant.
