every time I go there, it is always the same - friendly staff, great selection, helpful and honest and respectful cashiers. I use this store to get most of the stuff that people need around the house. It is great. I get what I need, always somebody there who can answer questions, easy to return if you get the wrong stuff. At times I pay a little more then if I would have gone to Lowes or Home Depot, but I feel like going into an ol Mom and Pop store. Friendly and knowledgeable employees makes it feel like treated the old fashion way - make you feel like a customer who is also a neighbor. HD and LOWEs are like going into a superstore, big bulky no feel no help but yes, at times slightly lower prices. Bolts and nuts selection however is 10 times better at Ace then both HD and Lowes. If you need a metric bolt go to ACE. if you need a specialty bolt, go to Ace. Wish there would be more stores like this Ace Hardware on Old Sp. Burg road in Greer.

9 times out of 10, they have what I need at about the same price as the mega-hardware stores. What they have - that the mega-stores are sorely lacking - is personal service. There is ALWAYS someone friendly & knowlegeable who is closeby to answer your questions and to help. I have grown to resent the 20 minutes I typically spend in the mega-hardware stores tracking down one of the employees wearing a corporate apron - only to find out, "thats not my department." Ace definitely has that "corner neighborhood hardware store" feel while providing the selection & pricing of those other shopping-center-sized stores.

Ive been in here several times over the past few years looking for things Lowes or Home Depot dont carry. Each time I was treated like a clueless idiot. Maybe every sales person isnt like this but I seem to run into the ones who are egotistical and condescending. My hope is that they eventually need help sometime and get the same treatment wherever they go!

Use this Ace all the time. Great for picking up odds and ends (and Weber grills!). Staff is friendly and helpful. Parking can be tricky sometimes.
