Loved the service, and caught a Fourth of July week sale and bought a bedroom suite and dining chairs last year, got fantastic deals and still feel good a year later when everything looks and functions brand new! No wobbly joints no bs partial board, great hardwood furniture! I wasnt prompted to write a review until after I saw a negative review for apparent racism... When we were in the store they were very busy with customers of all races, my wife and I very patiently waited for an answer to one of our questions (we had been helped but were taking a bit to make up our mind) so the gentleman helping us asked politely if he could help out a few customers ready to make their purchases. We thought nothing of it and he went and checked out a family who were not white, I remember this because they were super nice folks that we visited with while in the store. I recognize that there are racist people in the world, but I refuse to let a store that Ive witnessed give outstanding service to anyone that walks in the door get beat up by a reviewer that could have just been looking for racism where there is only human error.. I also know that racists dont respectfully greet someone who walks through the door then politely let them know that he will be right with them... Sounds like a very honest mistake to not return before getting pulled aside by another customer. Please all, go to Goodwood and support a small business that values their customers and provides solid and long lasting furniture in a world where the rewards usually go to the company that can be shiny enough to buy a new version when the one they sold you last year breaks.

I went to Good Wood to buy some milk paint for a deacons bench that my kids bought me. We were greeted almost immediately and asked if we needed any help. I told them what I was there for and, as I had already found the stuff I was just deciding what color I wanted. The sales rep told me to just let him know if I needed any help. I got my paint and then looked around at the other furniture. I always like to look at the furniture even if Im not planning on buying anything right now. When I got ready to check out, I got help right away and the sales rep gave me some pointers on using the paint and recommended a non-yellowing top coat also. I was very pleased with my service. Cant wait to go back once they get their expansion done!

Loved this place! Simple, low key, finished and unfinished outings for the best prices. Right now (6/2017) everything is 50% off full retail and all solid wood. If you purchase unfinished, finishing costs are very reasonable. Weve been to nearly every furniture store around Charleston and for solid wood, contemporary casual, no one beats their prices right now for real wood. Even their full retail are competitive and we will check them out first next time! (4-6 weeks to order what you want) They have some custom & Amish-made and can work with you for your own custom ideas.)

Racist much... Just left the good wood store with my friend and surprise surprise I watched every white customer get service while we were constantly overlooked. It was so obvious we even had a sales Rep walk over to say he would be with us after a sale of a bookshelf only to help the white customers that came in right after us.... Wow!!! I guess I just dont look like the 6 figure professional that I am. Your loss good wood.

Had a great experience with Goodwood. Family run, i dealt with Vince and his wife. They helped me and my father in-law purchase a beautiful wood bookcase and rolling top desk that we wanted to put a unique finish on,. Quality of the product was top notch and didnt break the bank. It was nice dealing with a locally owned business. Thank you Vince and Kathleen!

Good Wood save me trip to Charlottes IKEA. I bought in their store very nice dininig table, IKEA style. And also great customer service. Good Wood is strongly recommended.
