Selection is okay, prices are on par with other pet stores, but the employees could be more knowledgeable. I bought a pet crab there that was sold to me as a Halloween Crab, a species from Costa Rica. Turned out that he is actually a Rainbow Crab, which comes from West Africa and needs a whole different type of setup. Plus he can get much bigger than a Halloween Crab. I spent a lot of extra money buying stuff to set him up properly after finding out what species he actually was. He is healthy and happy, and I love him, but I probably would have passed if I had realized he wasnt a Halloween Crab to begin with, because Rainbow Crabs require quite a bit more to maintain properly. Now my main concern is for the well being of the other crabs still at the shop. I would like the owners to know that they are Rainbow Crabs without coming off like someone who is just trying to be a pain. The two species are easily confused and Im not mad or anything, but I feel like if I tried to tell them they would just feel like they are the professionals and I am an idiot. I dont know. Just make sure you do plenty of research and know what youre getting before you buy a pet, and that goes for any store.

Horriable. We bought fire belly toads for my son. We decided to try pet land for crickets. We went in there looking for more info on keeping crickets, how many they eat etc. I was told its best to get 3 dozen at a time and they eat every other day. I was also told just put them in a little container with these orange cubes.. We got them home feed the toads 4 and then left the crickets in the container till 2 days later. Bought on monday, Wednesday morning we go to feed the toads and i have 4 lives crickets the rest are dead. I call up there to talk to someone about it and i was yelled at, talked over and the man on the phone was just plain rude. Plus the crickets i was given were huge. The toads had a horriable time eating them and i was actually really worried about how to explain to my son what happened to the toads cause i didnt think they would make it. I fed the toads about 30 min ago and they are still staying in the same place and not moving. Breathing but not moving, The store is not clean or organized.

First experience, the store at first was ok at best. The selection on pet supplies is ok nothing compared to the big stores like PetCo or Pet Smart. What did catch our eye was the price on their grooming package. We had taken our small dog over to PetLand to get her groomed and nails clipped. When we got her back they shaved her nose line without our approval. Most importantly, She got a real gruesome, infectious cut in her eye from the poor and neglectful skills that took part due to their unqualified and inexperienced grooming employees. Not to Mention, they failed to notify us about this incident when we picked her up. So within 24 hrs we had to take our small dog to a veterinarian clinic because she woke up with a swollen, closed shut, and infected eye. Thats when we found out she needed medical attention. So please do your research on this company prior to paying anything on grooming. We wont be back. Worse dog service in Clarksville.

We have bought a Nile monitor, bearded dragon, several rats and mice, leopard gecko and have gone there for almost all of our animals care needs (because we also had a iguana, another leopard gecko, turtle, three dogs, a tarantula, and two ball pythons) and every need has always been met to the best of their capabilities. The staff is always polite and helps us as quickly as they can with getting our feeders like crickets, mice, rats, goldfish, etc. They usually have some of the best prices in town and quality animals. Someone who actually knows what theyre doing will expect their new family critter to have a certain amount of time to "adjust" to their new surroundings. YOU are the one thats supposed to care for them once they leave the store with you. My husband and I personally love this shop and recommend it to all our friends.

This store makes me sad. Every time I have gone there, I feel bad for all the animals there. Our last visit, we broke down and bought a conure, mainly because we felt bad for it since it was in a cage by itself, away from the other conures. When we got home we went to clip her wings only to find there were broken blood feathers. This little one seems like she is terrified of the world as well. After treating the feathers, one wing looked like it was infected, so I set up an appointment with my vet. It turns out that whoever clipped her wings in the past clipped way too far and cut the tip of her wing off and a bone was sticking out. Good on me for caring for a bird so much to save it from this place. Bad on you, pet store, for allowing something like this to happen. I pray you get shut down, the sooner, the better.

I get my food and supplies here for my cat and guinea pigs. The prices are as good as... And sometimes better.. Than the big chains and Walmart. They have a great staff and a good variety. We bought our guinea pigs from them and they were healthy and well cared for... As were the other small animals available. Im in this store several times a month and I havent seen anything to indicate that they do not properly care for thier animals. The cages are always clean, the staff has always been polite, and they are knowledgeable. Maybe they had issues in the past, but Ive seen nothing like the negative reviews said since Ive been going in the last year. And no, Im not an employee or a friend of an employee. Im just an animal lover and Id be the FIRST one to blast a place for mistreating ANY animal.

My husband and I used to come here often, but it stopped pretty fast. We set up a 55 gallon tank and went here to buy all the fish. We spent well over 200 dollars, and within two days realized they had anchor worms. We called them just to see what we could do and they immediately got defensive. They said we must have picked it up somewhere else, but we literally bought every item from them(fish, decor, etc.) We just decided to buy something to cure it and the manager was polite, but left us with another employee so she could sell to someone else. This employ was very rude. She couldnt talk to us without walking away, and then said she was giving my husband a discount on the "meds" and it was full price when we bought it. The whole experience was rough. I wouldnt recommend.

I bought my puppy "Clancy" from Pet Land, and knew nothing about raising a dog. The husband and wife team are patient and care about what they do. All I can say is it shows. I have never been happier than I am now with my new best friend. It has been a year now and I still go back all the time with my dog, Clancy to shop and get advice. Everyone who works there is knowledgeable, and friendly. It is the highlight of our week to go and shop there or get a grooming at their very family oriented store. And now they have boarding!!! YAY, I know if I ever have to leave my Clancy for a few days or more he will be well taken care of and shown love, not just locked up in a cage. WE LOVE THIS PLACE. =)
