I left a message to request more information about a product they carry. My phone call wasnt returned for almost a week. I asked for a price, and the salesperson quoted one price, then another. I told him that Id found it for less money elsewhere and asked if the store had a price match policy. He said, "Maybe. Where did you find it for that price?" He told me hed call me back, but first he called the other company where I found it for a lower price to inform them about a recent price increase from the manufacturer. He called me back and told me he couldnt go that low in price, but to please call him back if I had other needs. When I called the other company to place my order, they told me about the sabotage attempt and graciously agreed to honor their original quote by satisfying my order with one of their suppliers that stocks the product, thereby avoiding the price increase. The same salesperson from Elite called me back the next week and asked if I was still in the market to buy. I told him I was aware of his interference with the other company and would never buy anything from Elite. He made an obscene comment to me and ended the call abruptly. I called Elite and asked to speak with the manager, who did not apologize and was very arrogant about the situation. He said the store doesnt need my business. Well, thats fine...and in return I want to urge all of you reading this review to take your business elsewhere. This kind of poor customer service comes directly from the attitude of the management and owners of this company. Very poor service and business practices that are not in the best interest of the customer!

I went in to seek help as to why I was getting blisters on a certain toe all the time when I tried to walking 3-4 miles in my New Balance walking shoes. My salesman spent probably 30 minutes with me, explained why I actually needed a running shoe (walker sole was too stiff, creating hotspots) and explained why cotton socks were a problem. Had me walk, watched and commented on my gait. Brought three pairs out, asked me which felt I wasnt wearing anything at all. The store was packed, on a mid day Saturday but I did not feel rushed at all. I was about 240lbs from 266 lbs when I was there, and I was taken seriously amongst the hard core runners around me. I bought shoes and socks. I will be a customer for a very long time. Im down to 219 now three months later, and I credit his shoe fitting to keeping me on the road, and introducing running into my workout.

I cannot say enough good about this place. I was very impressed with the time and effort the staff, especially Marc, took to properly fit me in running shoes. I had been unwittingly running in the wrong type of shoe for years, leading to multiple injuries and discomfort. Each member of the staff brings a unique blend of running background to the table and I was able to find someone with just the right experience to assist me in my noncompetitive, but fairly long distance, training regime. My wife is just beginning to run and she received an equally impressive level of service. I would recommend this store well above other brick and mortar running stores in the area, hands down. The owner of the store makes himself available to everyone and is extremely knowledgable on injury prevention and treatment.

I purchased a Cannondale Quick 4 at this location last weekend and had the best experience. The store has a very clean, relaxed atmosphere and the staff are passionate and knowledgeable about their jobs and merchandise. I was able to take a few different bikes for test drives in the parking lot and was told by the staff they wouldnt let me purchase a bike unless I had taken it for a test drive first! For someone who was purchasing her first bike in a while, I felt like they wanted to find the best bike for me and understood and respected my price points. I would highly recommend this store for anyone looking for a new bike, especially for new bikers who dont know too much about the different brands and styles. They are super helpful! I will definitely be back!

In contrast to the earlier review posted here, my experience was quite good. The employees when I went appeared to be high school or college runners and were quite knowledgeable, able to diagnose my running stride as overpronated, and bringing out a number of different choices for me to try out on the treadmill. I had been debating whether to look for the shoe I ended up deciding upon online, but ended up buying it there because of the quality of the service. I was surprised when I got home that I paid the same price as the list at a number of discount online retailers, not including shipping. All in all, Id highly recommend the place.

Very honest workers. I brought my bike in for a tune-up, and after an evaluation was told I needed a new chain. I received a call a short while later, and was told that my bike was in great shape and that they didnt think a full tune-up was completely necessary. So instead of deceitfully charging me for a full tune up, they were honest and only charged me for what was needed. I honestly do not think other shops would have done that. I am very pleased with the service and will continue to go here when my bike needs service.

I went in on Monday evening, maybe around 6:45 or so. They close at 8:00, but not once did I feel rushed. Matt helped me out with selecting the right pair of shoes and sizing me. Turns out I was aiming for a size too small and the wrong width for my needs. He couldve sold on the more expensive pair of shoes, but he really did not pressure me one way or the other. This place has top notch customer service, a great selection, and reasonable prices. Highly recommend!

I am relatively new to running and cant believe the amount of free classes/seminars Elite offers. I have learned a TON about running. Before I went in, I thought, "what is there to know about running? You put 1 foot in front of the other!" Boy was I wrong. Every seminar I go to I feel like a safer runner. The people are all friendly and seem pretty knowledgeable. They always host all different kinds of races which I have been sucked into and LOVE it!

This place is top notch. I ran my first half marathon last year and went here to buy shoes as recommended by a friend. The employees are so knowledgeable and helpfu. They dont try to sell you the most expensive shoe but the shoe that will be the right shoe for you by doing a series of observations (quick jog on a treadmill, checking the treads on your current running shoes etc).

I went to the new Robinson location recently to look for some new running sneakers. When I entered and looked at the sneaker wall I asked if they sold Nike? The sales consultant scoffed at me and said they only sold "real shoes". After that she offered no advice or help and stated that "shes old and she can says what she wants". Bad first impression and I will not return.
