After years of using this place they ripped me off the last time I went and I will not be back. I wanted to get a wheel replaced and was told I had 3 options, the cheapest, and quickest one, was supposed to be an even swap out and would have zero effect on my bike. I opted to go with that solution, I get a call the next day saying that they needed to replace the chain, cassette, wheel, and hub, quadrupling the bill. The work was already done, my bill was now just 4 times greater than I agreed to but I assumed they would take care of me and my bike. The first time I went to ride my bike the gears were slipping, the highest gear was the worst offender, slipping every few rotations and torquing the cassette. The wheel, that was supposed to be exactly the same as the last one, weighed, easily, 10 pounds more than the one they replaced. The rear hub is the worst hub I have ever seen. Less than a month old and is starting to fall apart. The rear hub quick release doesnt fit the bike and when I go to lock it in place it either damages the frame or doesnt lock in place. This has lead to my rear wheel falling out of the frame when I lift the frame up. The components they used on the bike are all extremely low quality. They are the lowest quality they offer, had I known that all of my components were going to be changed I would have upgraded and not went with these parts that are going to fall apart. Oddly though, they used the most expensive chain they could though. Again, I never approved any of these components and when I picked my bike up, they didnt even give me my old parts or an itemized list of what was replaced. And I was never, NEVER, told why they NEEDED TO REPLACE ALL OF MY COMPONENTS. I bought my bike at this shop and was a loyal customer for years, but they are changing employees and the quality of the shop has bottomed out. I am going to try to reclaim my money from them so I can hopefully repair the damages they inflicted on my bike. Do yourself a favor and try somewhere else. UPDATE: Mike was the one who did the "repair", he allowed me to return the parts and gave me a refund. He was petulant and arrogant through the whole process, never once apologizing for the mistake or for the misunderstanding. In response to me asking why he put on such poor components he told me he was trying to "hit a price point", when I asked why the parts were replaced at all I got the perfect perfectly rude arrogant answer, "because they needed to be". So I am still out a few hundred dollars in parts and had to go to Bicyclery to get my bike fixed. But Bicyclery definitely made me feel good about my decision to go there and I will definitely be going back.

I could write a novel, but the short story is "stay away". I purchased a 4k Giant ebike which ultimately was replaced by the manufacturer due to defects in the motor. Understand I had to stand on my head to get attention from them to involve the factory rep. Back and forth at least 6 times and problem substantiated by their mechanics every time. When I purchased the bike the seat post was cracked and when I pointed this out it was swapped out. On this new bike, I assume they torqued it according to spec as its carbon fiber, but again this cracked at or before136 miles as registered on the odometer. Called and asked them to order, 2 weeks later I called to inquire about the part and yes its in but whomever didnt call me. Drive 25 miles to the store to be told that this is not under warranty and I have to pay for it. They replaced the one on the original bike as that one was cracked upon purchase. Bicycle Worlds position is that they replaced it once. Are you kidding me, a few days on the road and the seat post splits and its on me? I have been riding for years and I know the difference between normal wear and tear and manufacturer material failure. Ive been in and out of shops for years, mostly with Specialized products and clearly this shop functions below big box stores. I bought an ebike due to health reasons, and I can unequivocally state that doing business with this company is not good for your health.

What a lousy experience; I dropped my bicycle off on 5/23 for tune up and repairs and the person behind the counter (I dont recall his name) said it would be done by the next day. I returned two days later to get the bike, but nothing had been done. I was going out of town after that, so I returned on 6/6 and picked up the bike. I could not take if for a test ride because of the heavy rain, so I paid for the repairs and loaded it in the car. That evening, in between rain storms, I took it out for a quick test ride and again nothing had been fixed!! What kind of sham is this? I will take it back one last time because I already paid for repairs, but that is it. Not going back. FOLLOW UP - I returned on 6/10 to pick up the bike; the manager had personally repaired and tuned the bike. It works great now and he was very polite and apologetic for the delays. He charged only for the parts due to the inconvenience. So, let me say that I am satisfied with the final outcome. I sincerely hope they resolve whatever caused the problem that resulted in them not fixing the bike in the first place. I have been a customer there off-and-on for years and will continue. Thanks

After doing some research on different bike shops in the area, I decided to bring my 1998 Trek Y3 into the Lake Worth store for some work. Crank was making grinding noise, needed a new reducer on the rear Fox Shox, and my gears were slipping. I felt pretty good leaving my bike. Its in good condition for its age, but it is old. I asked them to fix the problems described above as well as Tune it up, check cables, etc. When i got the bike back, i test rode it, still made grinding crank noise. i was told it was due to the reducer being bad which they offered no solution for. Two days later, my bottom bracket siezed up, and my rear deraileur doesnt stay in the gear the shifter say its in. And there is no sign that any tune up was done, there was no charge, but it was a requested service. So needless to say, My experience was a poor one and i feel as though I was pushed out the door with an afirmation that my problem was due to a reducer being bad. Thanks for the stellar service (sarcasm), ill be taking my bike elsewhere or fixing it myself now.

Bicycle World is the best place for purchasing most reputable brand bikes. This includes Giant, Cannondale, Trek, and Raleigh. The service of professional management, expertise and fast repairs given to loyal customers makes this place number one. Honesty with service, such as a wobbly tire which needs a new spoke versus an entire costly rim, shows trustworthy concern for the customer. In fact I stop in for "topping off" free air for tires to promote longevity given as their courtesy. They expedite repairs on flat tires and cable-related gear replacements, usually done in 15 minutes, and the professional manager does a superb job. To prevent flats, spend 20$ on a pair of Tuffy teflon-liners and 10$ on a pair of 5x thicker inner-tubes. Youll be glad you did as I have went 6 months now of daily use without deflation. Well worth preventing aggravation/time to travel there for these type of frequent repairs.
