I live downtown where there are no Wincos but it is worth the 45 minutes to hour travel time, even gas, because I save more than that getting my groceries there. And the produce is always so fresh and at half or even less than the wilty, limp or less fresh veggies and fruits at, for example, Safeway at at least twice the cost. The only produce I take exception to at Winco is that they switched from Fresh Express to Dole - like Safeway and other stores, and it can start turning liquid in as few as 2 days whereas Fresh Express stays fresh in its unopened bags for a week so I can buy 4 bags each week. It does need to be eaten in 2-3 days, once opened, but the Dole can turn liquid without ever being opened. Wish theyd go back to decent salad and start selling Fresh Express, again so I dont have to go separately, just for my Fresh Express, to Food Source clear on the OTHER side of town. The people who work at Winco are all always so nice - from the people in customer service to the produce and meat departments to the rest of the store and the cashiers. They really take pride in their store and Ive learned its because the people who work there all are a kind of owner. They take pride in what they do, just like all Americans used to do back in the day. God. I just dated myself. I LOVE Winco. Now just replace all those benches, both inside and out, so all us old folks and disabled have a place to sit while we wait for our rides or pack up, bungicord down, all our bags of groceries onto our walkers, wheelchairs and scooters - PLEASE. And put the pizza back in all the stores, while youre at it. That is/was the best pizza ever, better than all those other places combined. - Well, maybe a tie with Murphies. Thanks, Winco, for all you do so we can afford to buy decent, healthy food on a very limited income!

Im really dis-pleased with the customer service I received from wincos deli last evening- 5/5/13. We always buy our chicken from winco(elkgrove) and was excited that my husband recommended winco last eve after a long day in sunday church service. The lady who assisted us was RUDE ! her attitude was like; ok im tired, dont want to be here and hurry up make up youre minds ! I asked her if I could have some of the fresh chicken that had been sitting in the back (it was fresh and looked Good ) the chicken in the display looked like it had been there for awhile- her reply was - Its all chicken!! my first thought was to leave it but my husband decided to just take it and leave- I was livid and called a manager this morning to make a complaint !!! Please Winco dont lower youre standards when it comes to great customer service-

This store would get no stars if i could give them none. I sat on hold for 20 minutes while the deli didnt feel like picking up the phone. Finally the woman answering phones called directly to make them answer the phone. I was trying to place an order for chicken, and the woman in the deli responded very rudely "you cant pick any up til 630, you just have to come in and pick up what we have." Rather than have the chance to make enough chicken theyd prefer to have none all day? I now am going to go in there and take everything they have and keep taking everything they have until i get what i need so there will be no chicken for anyone else because they dont like to plan ahead. Terrible business model, even worse customer service from the deli employee. I will never go back to this winco, dispicable.

Milk 7 out of 10 times spoils days before expiration. (Fat free). Forgot my debit card. Tried to use a check that my bank printed looks just like a regular check except check #1001), didnt even bother to scan the check and told me no. The cashier knows me, the clerk who refused me has seen me often. This is the grocery store I shop at for my family. I was buying stuff for a track meet. Healthy stuff. Really? Youre going to tell me no for $59. CUSTOMER SERVICE...DOING THE RIGHT THING!!! Please train your people better. If you are an employee, you should be angry right now. You are an owner in this company. Geez.. get it together people. Look outside the box and do the right thing.

Produce most the time is not fresh but yet you pay the fresh prices for something not that fresh. The meats are very expensive most stores near there are cheaper and same if not better quality food I come here for simple groceries now and I do my major shopping other places that are cheaper and better quality plus I get a lot more for my money everywhere else like foods Co smart and final Walmart pretty much everywhere but winco

I have been here a few times now and love it! Yes, it is usually crowded and it is huge but their prices are great and I always find what I am looking for. They also give you a discount of 10 cents per bag if you bring your own bags! This store has been clean and the staff friendly and helpful each time I have been there. I will be going back again...and again...!

Good selection and friendly staff. Huge parking lot which is shared with stores in the complex. Issues with people parking in front of the store while waiting for someone to come out. So rude because they are blocking the flow of traffic. Please get a spot and do not park blocking the disabled spots. Just disrespectful to me.

I called WinCo foods bakery to see how much it cost for cupcakes... and they have a store policy that they dont share that information over the phone. I guess I wont spend my gas to find out how much YOUR cupcakes cost.. and rather go to another store such as Food Co since they were able to share that with me when I called.

Shop there every month and save so much. Being on a strict budget and a set income is not easy as costs rise, but Will makes it easier to make ends meet. Normally very clean, organized, great selection and has polite workers. Sometimes very crowded, but open 24/7 so can shop on hours most people are at work or sleeping.

Always busy unless you go first thing in the am. But then the isles are blocked with re - stocking boxes. Prices are good with a good selection of products. Guys in meat dept are always asking if they can help find something. Produce seems fairly fresh. I drive by two other grocery stores to shop Winco.

Winco is definitely a place to save money. When I cant find what I want there is always someone to help, and they know the store. The bulk foods section is awesome and worth the drive. I always am able to find the gourmet ingredients , like pancetta, that l want. Produce is fresh. I love this store.

I like coming here but when the kids Play with the machines that produce the agave and almond butter and has agave and peanut butter all over the place it really irritates a person then your walking around with sticky agave on your shoes. I would expect this from a kid but not teen.....
