After moving into our new house, my fiance and I went to buy a dining room table I had my eye on for about a year here, so we went right in and immediately bought the table. We explained we were waiting to get the china closet or buffet at a later date because we had no real need for them at the time and we werent sure which we would buy since both wouldnt fit. We were in and out and everything seemed to be fine other than even though he knew we were a sure-buy, the salesman was your typical sleeze-bag trying to push us for every dollar we had. When the table was delivered, only my fiance was home- when I got home from work, I saw not only did they scratch our hardwood floors, but the table was the wrong stain. I called to explain the table was the wrong stain, but the manager INSISTED it would just look slightly different than the one in the store because of the lighting. I laughed and told him I could tell the difference between oak and walnut in any lighting- he still didnt believe me, so I took in a leaf of the table and sat it on their display table (with the stain we wanted). After admitting I was right and they were wrong, I was told they no longer offered that stain and we would have to buy the display model. The manager gave us the discounted price for the set and I told him Id have to discuss it with my fiance- we ensued into several days of phone calls back and forth to get individual prices for the pieces and to ask if he could do better (the table after all, had been on display for at least a year AND was scratched). By the end of it, the "absolute best prices per piece he could do" were higher than the other prices he had given me previously. After adding them up, I just laughed and told him I wasnt into playing games and for them to come pick it up- perhaps without scratching our floor this time. Well never ever buy from Levin nor will we ever recommend Levin to anyone.

Horrible Customer service! I special ordered a living room set; I was originally told it would be here in April, then March, then April. After April passed, I got an email on May, 9 saying it would be in in mid-May, followed the next 2 days by 4 phone calls all telling me I need to come and pay for my furniture. Whats the rush? You made me wait, why cant you wait a few days to get a call back? I went to the store to pay, when I asked: Why it was late? Why wasnt I notified in April that it wasnt going to come? I was told that I received many emails from them. I went back and looked, only 3 emails; Dec. 28= mid-Mach delivery, Feb. 8= Late-April, May 9= mid-May. (Personally I dont count spam mail advertisements for the seemingly weekly sales gimmick they are offering, as communication about my delivery.) Somehow they knew back in February it was pushed back a month, but had no clue until May 9, that it was going to be there in mid-May (just days away!). The ladies at the counter seemed shocked, and offended that I was unaware that the furniture company I ordered was notoriously slow. They also seemed upset that someone had the nerve to expect a delivery sometime in the month that they were told. They tried to tell me that late-April is the same as mid-May. There was not an apologetic voice to be heard, they had tried to turn it around that it was my fault because I bought a couch. Mysteriously there was no manager to be found, the sales person I dealt with was off, and the lady who did the ordering when I bought it was out of the building. Not surprisingly the manager “called”, as soon as I gave up my credit card. I have had good experiences with them before, although the furniture rarely lasts 2 years without substantial wear, but this will be my last time dealing with them.

Its very unfortunate to rate the store 1 star. The sales lady I worked with was nice. The store manager seems nice enough. The delivery team was awful, dirty, careless and unprofessional. The customer service in the delivery center is the worst I have ever encountered. 2 weeks and 22 phone calls- 22 PHONE CALLS- later, a lady from corporate loaded a replacement chair for my dining set in her own car since customer service wouldnt work around my work schedule. As the paying customer- you still work around their schedules. They dont care how much you spend. They dont care about inconveniencing the customer. Every call the customer service, including with Valerie the "supervisor", had the "too bad, so sad" tone. In my opinion, if the company messes up (dining room table was not level; delivery guy used his head to balance my white chair and left a geasey oil spot on the white cushion), the company needs to fix it. I always think kindness gets you a lot further in this world, but after trying to be kind the first 15 calls, it got me no where. I will NEVER deal with this company again. Although I did have great service once I hit the top at corporate, it was too late. Furniture looks beautiful, but never again. I wouldnt go there if my order was free.

I had an awful experience at this store. All I wanted was a bedroom set. I found the bedroom set that I liked, filled out a credit report and was denied, although I have near-perfect credit. On the second try, a week later, it went through OK. So I setup a delivery date and when the truck arrived he said that he couldnt fit down the street (I have had numerous furniture deliveries to my house, not to mention I drove a big Uhaul truck down the street myself). The street that he was parked on is a larger street and my house is about 40 yds. from it, but the delivery person was unwilling to bring the furniture to my house. So he said they would have to deliver it another time. I was supposed to receive a phone call that afternoon to reschedule. Instead I had to call over 5 times in the next 2 weeks, each time being avoided by the manager, to find out that they couldnt deliver my furniture at all. I live in the city of Pittsburgh and they couldnt deliver my furniture!!! You have to be kidding me. I never did speak to the manager, he would always tell his secretary to give me a message... Do me a favor take your business to an establishment that wants your business.

The experience at Levin Furniture has been interesting. We ordered a couch and an oversized chair in September and we realized in November that something was wrong with the couch. I called the first week of January to schedule an appointment to have someone look at the couch. I was told there were no appointments until March 8th. We patiently waited with our broken couch for over eight weeks. The technician arrived, and was very helpful. He reported that the couch was indeed broken, and it was a manufacturing problem. He said that he would submit his findings and that within two weeks, someone should call to set up a follow-up appointment to fix the couch. No phone calls were received within that time frame, so I called to see about the progress. The customer service rep was unhelpful as she said that a postcard should have been sent out and the was a glitch with their system, however the parts have been ordered to fix the couch and it will be no time at all. 10 weeks have since past, and I have not heard anything else from Levin regarding our broken couch.
