My husband and I were in search of a 3 piece leather livingroom furniture set. We were a little leary about this place because it had gotten bad reviews in the past. Googled and saw a few good reviews so decided to give them a try. (It was Jan 15). The shopping experience wasnt too bad. Mona left us alone to look around and came to check up on us just as we found 2 different sets we liked. We decided to go with the one we found most comfortable. Gave Mona my debit card to ring us up. Even added the warranty. Once rung up Mona informed me only the loveseat was available for delivery and the remaining 2 pieces would be delivered NO LATER than January 31. I was bummed but firgued we would wait Mona informed us there was a tracking # on our receipt and to make sure we tracked our order because a lot of times it comes in early........... We started checking and on Friday January 23 the status was changed to "your furniture is in the distribution center". We were so excited. While I was working that day they call to tell me my furniture delivery would be pushed back to Feb. 11. WHAT??? So I call the Monroeville store and was told "maybe someone esle ordered the same furniture and they are getting it".....So now Im furious. I called the dist center & the store mananger and have been given the run around. Not one person has even apologized. I asked if we could cancel the order & recieve cash back since it was taken out of my account on the 15th when I used my debit card. Nope. They will credit my debit card & if Im lucky Ill have the money in 3-5 business days. So we cant go shop for other furniture until then.. I had to cancel my sons birthday party we had planned for Feb 1. ....VERY POOR customer service.

Customer service is terrible. I purchased a sectional with two power recliners. A long story short both power recliners are broke. One of them the power motor went out and the other the cheap frame broke in. Now I am not an overweight or a very large person. lets just say they were made cheap. I purchased the Pure Promise Extended warranty from Value City. I got through all of the motions and have everything needed to file a claim. It is very difficult to get a hold of someone on the phone to follow up, they say there are more than 10 people ahead of you your wait time on the phone will be over 45 min will you leave a number for an agent to contact you back. Well a shocker they dont call back. so I call again and again finally I get a hold of someone and file a claim......ONE Month later.....Still no contact on what is going on so I leave another message. I call Value City Back and tell them my frustrations, they tell me SORRY we cant help you you have to go through pure promise. I purchased everything from VALUE CITY I do believe they are obligated to assist me if the product they sold me is not performing AS PROMISED. I was told "oh well Just keep trying.

Poor customer service...management especially. Purchased a leather couch. It was damaged during delivery. The delivery drivers try to hurry up and leave before we noticed. We pointed out the damage clearly done during delivery from warehouse. Offered knock a $100, which it cost far more to repair the hole and tear or wait 2 to 3 months for a replacement piece. Im hoping my first holiday in my brand new home which has been completely remodeled. A holey, ripped up couch does not belong in a newly remodeled home in pristine condition. I was told its not a big deal by management, to throw a blanket over it. And that it is not an inconvenience. Its most definitely is an inconvenience and costing me money when I have to take off another day of work in 2 to 3 months to have them delivered and repair. Should have been offered a small % off something else in store in stock or more of a reduction. Who has the money and time to get a couch re-upholstered at this time of year? Just an very nonchalant and unwilling to cooperate when they made an error. Will not be furnishing the remainder of my home with Value City.

Went to Value City Furniture on 5/23/15 to make a purchase on a couch for the apartment I was moving into. Everything went fine there until the day I was moving into the apartment I called to make sure as to what time the delivery was going to be for the couch. The one girl had stated to me that it was going to be placed on back order until July 23rd. No one had called to notify me that the couch was being on back order until I had called. As soon as I made that phone call, it automatically had gone on back order within in 10 mins. I was making payments on a couch that wasnt even in my possession yet and it seemed like the company really didnt care cause all they wanted was their money. Well I went with another company for a couch and love seat and managed to get it the next day. I spoke with a manager to get my money back from value city but I will never again purchase anything from this company again. If you cant keep a promise or work something out with your customer, then you shouldnt be in the business world. Im sorry I even signed anything for that couch.

My new couch was just delivered. The couch is great and everything leading up to delivery was great. Then came the delivery. The salesman had assured me that they would remove my old couch. They were only required to take it to the curb but I might ask them to take it downstairs. Of the 2 guys who delivered it - only one spoke to me. I asked him to take it downstairs. He informed me that he was only going to deliver a couch not remove the current one. Ii told him that was not what I was told at the store. He said he needed to move the truck and never returned. I called the store to complain and was informed that the delivery people were not required to remove my couch. I was supposed to move my own couch and have nowhere to sit until the new one was delivered. This makes zero sense to me and is absolutely not what I was told by the salesman. The result - 2 couches in a very small living room. One very irate customer. I intend to make sure everyone I interact with know what happened. Thanks #value city lies #value city complaint #value city sale

Please, if this is the only review you read today, DO NOT BUY FROM VALUE CITY!!!!!!! We ordered furniture 2 weeks ago, it was supposed to be delivered at 11:30. It never came. The delivery people lied and said they were here, took a picture of our door, waited 15 min and left. All a lie! Our house is 50-60 feet from the road. And we have a huge window and can clearly see the road. No one ever came. Then they said it would be delivered after all other deliverys were done for the day. Never happened. I called every hour, talking to sales people, managers and the driver. NO ONE ever called me back. Finally at 6pm I was told the furniture never left the warehouse today and that they would be here at 7:30. The driver called 15 minutes ago and said he would be here at 8.... 8?!?!?!?!?! 8pm?!???! Who does that!!!! I should have known after we bought our mattress set and received the wrong one, and they refused to give us the right one.... should have known. Better. Please do not buy anything from any value city location ever!
