Im sort of amazed there isnt more negative feedback showing here. I would have given this dealership 4 stars if it hadnt been for the poor service after the purchase and the dishonesty I later found out about. I found the car on the internet and did all the preliminary dealing by email. I found this to be one of easiest car purchases I have ever experienced (although the salesman did try to negotiate a higher price than we had agreed on by email before finally settling on the offer that he originally agreed to before I came in--probably because I had brought in copies of the emails that could substantiate it). I brought in a personal check of $7,000 for the down payment and advised I had already gone to my credit union & received pre-approval. They "insisted I HAD to fill out their finance contract also". I explained I didnt need to and I didnt want any additional hard inquiries into my credit report for 2 reasons: it wasnt necessary and it additional inquiries could lower my credit score. The salesman told me it would only be used if my financing fell through (what??) and was just a "required formality" and wouldnt show on my credit report unless they needed to use it. He told me a previous customer got so adamant about not filling out this required form that he almost lost the purchase of his vehicle. Well I filled out the form and a couple of months later when we went to refinance our house I find out they did do a hard inquiry on my credit report even though I never had to use their financing because my credit union issued me the check for the remaining balance in full that very day. When I reported this incident to the the Dept of Justice for Unlawful Trade Practices Tonkin Greshams response denied everything and claimed it was my choice. Not. Another reason I would give them less than 1 star if I could is 3 days after I brought the car home the drivers side headlight went out & they wouldnt fix it. After taking it to another repair shop (3 times- melted headlight connector 2x on drivers side and 1x on passenger side) I found out Saturn Outlooks had a faulty wiring harness which I finally had replaced. Car shoppers Beware! And if they make you fill out credit application form when youre already pre-approved....get it in writing that they told you its "required".

I don’t recommend this location for buying a car. About two years ago, I had bought my car from this location and had a great buying experience! When I went back on Friday to look into buying another car while I had my oil changed, I was greeted by a different salesman then I had the first time. His name was Scott Wildman. At first he was very nice and funny. He went into depth about all the features of the car, and demonstrated what everything did. When we got back to the dealership and began talking numbers, it became incredibly high pressure, which is not something I appreciated whatsoever. I had explained initially that I was doing research, and trying to decide what I car I wanted, and that I wasn’t looking to buy just then. For whatever reason, that idea could not get through his head. I told him I didn’t want to buy, and wanted to go back and talk to my parents about the car, but he kept trying to sway me into buying the car. He tried to tell me that I didn’t need my parents, and seemed like I had already done all my research, etc. He printed out a sheet with the pricing, and tried to get me to sign it, but he wouldn’t tell me what signing it would do. He just kept pressuring me to sign it. Each time I asked about why I should sign the paper, he would not answer the question. Eventually, he took the paper away, and went and brought his manager over. His manager was even worse. He continued to pressure me into buying the car, also saying that I didn’t need my parents, and that I should just do it. He tried to tell me that I would lose out on the car, because it would be gone by Monday, which isn’t something I really cared about. I ended up telling them that I was late for dinner with my family, so that I could escape the situation. I will never go back to buy another car from that location. My experience was so bad, that I excluded the car I was looking at from the list of cars that I was looking at. Update: The salesman that I was dealing with called and left a voicemail saying that I should remove his name off the review, because I "asked for a salesman and got [him]" However, I dont think thats fair to people that are spending thousands, and thousands on new cars. This should be a lesson learned as to treat customers a little more respectful.

DO NOT BUY!! (ESPECIALLY FROM MARK) I recently purchased a 2015 Honda Civic from this dealer. It was my first, and will be my last purchase from them. My sales person was fantastic. Low-pressure, easy to work with. The problem came with the sales manager, Mark. (closer, in their words.) I told him from the very beginning what my budget was and that I wanted to stay within that. During the initial paperwork I said I was "interested" in the clear bra and door sealants. "Interested" to him means yes, I want them. So those optional products that I was interested in were added to the contract with NO firm, verbal commitment from me. Signing the papers I failed to notice (admittedly my fault) the optional products were added on for a total of $2,000. I realized this the following day. I stopped by the dealership and spoke with the sales manager, who told me "you told me you wanted this, so it was added. You signed the papers" He told me I would need to reach out to the finance manager to achieve any resolution. I played phone tag with the finance manager for a week (who is a really really nice guy), who just informed me that he had a meeting with the GM and Mark, They agreed that since I signed the papers agreeing to the terms there was nothing they could do. Icing on the cake? I am required to have the products installed at their dealership within 90 days. So I have to go BACK to this hole. I wish I could drive my brand new Honda Civic right through their showroom. But since that would be a waste because I really do love the car, Ill settle for burning their plastic license plate holders in the fireplace and telling EVERYONE I know (which is a lot, because both my boyfriend and I work in the automotive industry) to stay far far far away from this dealership.

My car was smashed by a crazy driver five months after my husband died. Walking into Gresham Honda, it seems like I should have been their dream customer: busy, emotional, money in the bank, ready to buy and be done with it, ready for someone to be on my team, it truly could have been a win-win. My god, if they had treated me well, I would have been theirs for LIFE. I paid cash, I paid full price (silly me -- one of the costs of just needing to be done with it), and I drove a pretty expensive car off of their lot in just a couple of hours. (It would have been shorter without the hard sell BS they kept throwing in.) A couple of days later I noticed that the mats werent fitting correctly, and with a quick google search, realized that the mats in this car are actually kind of confusing, and they had left out two mats (the car has a third row). Many calls to them later, they denied having the mats, and refused to get me the missing mats, because that wasnt part of the original deal. FYI, the mats are not in the car when doing the test drive, and arent put in until youre ready to leave the lot. So how that would be part of the deal is beyond me. Also, its your job -- if the mats dont fit right, look it up! Instead they just shoved them in and let me drive away. Anyway, they wouldnt do anything for me. The missing mats cost $60. They didnt care $60 worth to keep a customer like me. Well then, I will never buy a car from them again, and I will tell everyone I know not to buy a car from them. Thats my $60 worth. In the future, I will never go car shopping alone again, and no matter how busy and stressed out and ready to be done with it I am, I will always sleep on a decision like this. Lesson learned.
