The ONLY reason this shop is getting a 2 instead of a 1 star rating is because the piercer was so quick and efficient that I hardly felt ANY pain when he did my nose. Even 24 hours later the pain is virtually not there. However, we were never shown or walked through the sterile needles or jewelery. I asked him for an 18g nose ring MULTIPLE times, I needed it to match the one I already had. He was not personable, you could tell he just wanted to get this over with. It was the worst eexperience Ive ever had at a shop. So i looked in the mirror after it was done and not only is it a 20g but its about 3 sizes TOO BIG for my nose. It looks absolutely AWFUL. I made multiple comments about how this was not going to fly because this HUGE obnoxious thing is hanging off of my face and can clearly be seen when I turn my head(not okay for my job). Nose rings are supposed to HUG the nostril not hang off by an inch. WTF. He made some stupid comments back and didnt seem to care at all, said the only thing that could be done was to repierce my nose. He sends us to the desk stating that she will give us aftercare information and the front desk girl doesnt give us any type of information AT ALL. Just takes our money. Because I have worked for tips before I cant leave without giving one (whether they deserve it or not) and NO ONE IN THE SHOP HAD CHANGE!! How do you run a business that accepts cash WITHOUT CHANGE?! PLEASE dont be fooled by the high reviews that you see. The turnover rate in shops is so high the people that are getting the positive reviews probably dont even work their any longer. If youve read this far, so some where more professional and helpful. Having something look this awful on your face is not I want to happen to anyone else.

Terrible experience! Went in to get a tragus piercing for my wife and daughter. The artist, John Artis was pretty much a dick. He didnt want to be bothered, was indifferent, impolite and didnt seem to like his job. After the piercing he told them shell take care of you up front. He practically ran to play the video game on the big screen tv in back that was clearly of more importance to him. We attempted to pay via credit card as the door states PayPal and various major cards are accepted and were told cash only. After paying there was no mention of aftercare of any kind and we had to call other shops to ask for the information. Im sure the owner probably doesnt appreciate that s type of behavior and that we will definitely not be going back!

Junk Mail

A bit overpriced, lax on proper protocol and sketchy on payment. They wanted 80 for a triple helix (got it for 60 at another shop). Also they wanted me to sign paperwork before I even spoke to a piercer to discuss my concerns/check my ear anatomy and make an informed decision on if I could get the piercing or if I wanted it. Lastly, they are not forthcoming about the fact that they are cash only. Sure they can swipe your card... For and 8 dollar fee, or you can use the janky ATM they have in the shop for a smaller fee. Im sorry but if I have to pay a 5-8 dollar fee to use my card, that means you dont take cards, period. Nice facility though. I choose not to get my services done there so I cant attest to the quality of the work.

I went to True Art because I wanted to some impulse piercings and it was the closest shop that was open and actually had a piercer in. When I got there, I was welcomed by a very nice receptionist and she had already set everything up for the piercer, Elaina. Elaina was so wonderful. Ive had a lot of piercings before and the most painful one had been my tongue. When I told Elaina how nervous I was to get it re-done, she was very comforting and reassuring that it wouldnt be a terrible experience. I swear to you that I barely felt it- it was like magic. Definitely one of the best shops Ive been to!

I went here being recommended by a co worker for Damian James.This tattoo was a commemorative to my grandfather who raised me that passed away a couple years ago.I barely felt the tattoo being done and was quick.For the work and cost I was extremely satisfied and I cannot wait to continue the piece. Soooo I decided to go in and get piercings yesterday and Eileena was my piercer and Ill say I will most definitely be back the shop is super clean and very trendy (the stripper pole in the corner adds a nice touch to the place, love it) and not far from my house at all. Eileena was quick and funny and she assured me that everything was gonna be ok (hinse this being my 1st piercing of this kind

My boyfriend and I travel and weve been to different shops around the country and this has been, by far, our favorite one. Colleen was amazing and she even came in on her birthday to do my tattoo because of a power outage the day before due to wind and rain. My tattoo came out perfect. My boyfriend also got a tattoo by another artist and he loves it.

By far the best tattoo shop in Cleveland Ohio! Ive went here for tattoos and piercings and will never go elsewhere! The shop is always super clean and the artists are very helpful in drawing out exactly what you want and making sure you are comfortable and happy with what you are getting.. always a awesome atmosphere when I have went here.

I was away for the weekend in Cleavland seeing a Bon Jovi concert and decided on a whim to get a Bon Jovi tattoo. We walked in on a Sunday and we were taken promptly. Colleen did my tattoo and did excellent work !!! She was friendly and fun plus very clean and talented. I would recommend her work to anyone. She is amazing!!!

Elina did a wonderful job on my navel piercing. She was friendly and personable. I liked that she was honest and answered any questions I had reasonably. If you need a piercing, this girl has the hook up on a bomb, and totally symmetrical, look. The staff there was really friendly and everything was very clean.

Been getting tattooed since 1966, all over the world, lately Calif. now back in Ohio. John is by far the best artist Ive had the honor of his work. The shop is always sanitary and the staff is great. My daughters also go to True Art Tattoos, as do my friends. I cant see me going anywhere else.
