I bought a bike from this shop two years ago, and unfortunately it was later stolen. While I havent yet recovered that bike, it was great that all I had to do to get the serial number (I didnt have it written down anywhere) was to give them a call. This last month, I ordered a Surly Disc Trucker. This turned out to be a much better buying experience (I was pretty anxious to get the last bike and skipped this step, so thats on me. This time Revolver called me in to test the length and get it right) as I was able to work with the shop to decide the length of the steerer tube, and getting this right makes the ride much better and more comfortable. I also had the shop install fenders, pedals, and a rear cargo rack. This turned out to be a good move since it now takes a bit of creativity and craftsmanship to get the fender stays on around the disc brakes, I wouldve botched it and likely destroyed the fender. To sum up, they all did a great job building up the bike, it is a smooth green beauty. Thanks Revolver!

The shop owner is a total con artist. He quoted me a price for a repair over the phone, and when I got to the store I reminded him. Immediately, he changed his tune, saying that the price would be "around there." Within 5 minutes of looking at my bike, he said that he didnt have the right piece, but did have another, more expensive one (of course). As he was doing the repair (NOT before), he said that he would have to do a few additional things that would cost even more. This went on and on, and when I finally asked him what everything would cost, he told me, and it was about 3-4 times the original quoted price. No thanks, Slick Willie. You just lost a neighborhood, avid-cycling customer. Potentially years of regular business, thrown away so you could make an extra couple of bucks. Though it is farther away, Im going to stick with North Portland Bikeworks on Mississippi. Much more honest, friendly, and reliable.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Revolver. The store was extremely busy when I got there, but I was proactive and found a few folks who were basically in the same boat I was (looking to buy a bike, no idea what I needed) and I listened to the associate helping them. Maybe it was creepy for a minute, but the employee was good natured about it and Im sure he appreciated not having to go through the huge spiel twice. I got into the perfect bike for me. The staff answered all my questions and helped me get the additional items I needed to start cycling right away. I will be back (really soon, actually. I think my helmet is one size too small) again and again, and I will tell everyone I know what a jewel Revolver Bikes is. Delightful!! Thanks guys!

Having read the most recent review, I asked a lot of questions before letting them work on my bike. They did excellent work and absolutely didnt try to up sell me on work that didnt need to be done. In fact, I wanted them to do a tune-up and give my bike a once over also and I pretty much had to beg for it, because he didnt think it really needed it. I got my back back in pretty much better than new shape and the cost was right at the estimate that I got up front. After this experience, I dont think Id ever go anywhere else.

This spot is dope. Came in to purchase my friend a birthday present. Mostly start up stuff (tubes, patch kit, grip tape, etc) Im not sure who helped me but he was dope af. Super chill and took his time. That was my first time in and I will definitely be back for my personal purchases. Full disclaimer, my review is solely on my purchases not on their mechanical skills. 10/10 for interpersonal skills. Checked my receipt, Michael helped me out. Thanks again yo! Thanks homies !

I had a short amount of time to spend and was trying to figure out what cargo accessories to get, and Revolver was the closest bike shop to my house so in i went. Every single person there was so nice, and the dude who ended up helping me knew every feature of every bag and really quickly we narrowed down the choices. i was very impressed with both the selection and service and would wholeheartedly recommend this business. for sure they are my new favorite bike shop!

Of all the bike shops in Portland this is one of the worst customer service experiences Ive ever had, on a few occasions. Uber hipster types ignore you as you walk about the shop. In a city where we are over saturated with good bikes shops dont waster your time or money here. I thought I would give them a fair chance. Ive been there 3 times. Each time Ive walked out with my hand against my head. There are sooo many good shops around town. This is NOT ONE OF THEM.

Rad shop. These guys spent a bunch of time tuning up my admittedly neglected old racing bike. I need to carry panniers and have fenders on this thing til I can get a better stronger frame, and they were totally fine with my weird requests. Good mechanics and techs there, highly recommended. They also have a good selection of panniers, fenders, lights, toe clips, etc, especially for being such a little shop. Super great friendly service too!

I have to compliment the mechanics at Revolver. Just had them switch out some hydraulic road shifters on my new disc race bike (thats a brake bleed, bar tape wrap, cable cutting, shift indexing, etc), and they did an amazing job for an unbelievable price. Dont be fooled. This shop isnt just for hipsters and commuters. These folks know bikes and treat each one with kindness. Thank you, Revolver.

Not a bad shop. People seem knowledgable enough but they arent quite as responsive as other shops in town. One employee actually passive-aggressively made fun of my choice to use tubular wheels for racing by saying "yea great, wheels you can ride 5 or 10 times." Kind of funny considering people like me buying things I probably dont need pays his check.

The guys at Revolver have been helping me out for years with everything from the custom build of my All City Nature Boy to helping me prep for a 2,000 mile solo ride to shipping a bike across the country for a friend. Theyve always done everything they can to go above and beyond my expectations. Great staff. Solid shop. Check em out.

Awesome service, nice people. Ive been going there for about 6 years. Most of their guys have worked in other good shops in town or in other states, and now theyve been at this shop for several years. Its a very local, independent shop, that treats the staff well, and is still very competitive.

My sister brought my bike here to be packaged and shipped to me after I moved away, and didnt have the time to take care of the hassle. Well, I received my bike this week and could not be more impressed! They did a fantastic job and took care of every little piece and part to protect it!

Not only did they put a new tube in my bike for $10, but they diagnosed why it had popped and lubed my chain for free. They let me know what else would be good to get done on my bike without making me feel guilty for saying "not now." Will definitely go back.
