Im going to caveat this review with a disclaimer that my favorite sporting goods stores carry hunting and fishing gear. That said, its nice to have an REI on this side of the water if, for nothing less than it saves my wife gas to Tacoma or Seattle. Like any other REI store it has expensive, mostly-high quality gear for things like running, biking and other assorted outdoor activities. While it is a little on the small side compared to their other venues, it does have a decent selection and its always good to have more competition and variety here in Kitsap County.

If everyplace had customer service this good, Amazon wouldnt exist. Ive visited this store a hundred times, and the staff are always friendly, incredibly knowledgeable, never try to upsell anything, and can reliably and consistently guide me towards the thing that I actually need. I dont even shop around anymore -- even if REI was more expensive (which they arent), Id still pay the extra buck or two to know that Im going to have positive interactions while trying to decide which outdoor stuff I need next.

First ever visit to rei.. So happily surprised.. Was looking for a ski jacket.. 3x size.. Lady in the back helped me.. Pointed me to seasonal.. And called ahead to coworker to expect me.. He knew his product and found a perfect jacket on first try. (Oversized 2x).. While trying it on, the original lady who was helping me brought another jacket for me to try on, just in case I had not found anything.. Signed up for the rei membership... Will be back!!

Wonderful service! You can talk to anyone in the store and you will get quality and knowledgeable help. With the volume of items they carry you are able to find many price options that will fit any budget without sacrificing quality. Every item is is created by highly recommended brands that stand behind their products.

Most of the products are very high quality. The store offers a broad range of product types with a small inventory of each , often lacking options like color or size. Overstaffed and understocked with very high prices and too much "salesmanship" in the service.

Great customer service and treat customers right. Great deal with membership. Also they carry message bag / laptop straps only place in Silverdale I found that does!

The people are always so helpful and friendly. I gave it a 4 because our last trip in was to get gear for our dog. Sadly, their dog section is unimpressive.
