I have had mixed results with the staff at Bike Tech, most of them were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Sadly on occasion I have encountered someone who is not listening to my concerns, is trying to sell me something other than I asked for or is poorly informed. My latest mishap, I asked the counter chap if he could get me a product within a very short time, he said he could have it in his shop within 3 days, its been 6 and still no sign of what I ordered. I told the gentleman that the product was available for quick delivery elsewhere and if he could beat or match that I would place the order. The item was available at several online sources 40-60% cheaper with a definite 2 day delivery for an extra charge, still cheaper and clearly quicker. If you cant deliver just be honest you may not make the sale but you will get respect. I want to support my local bike shop, I ride with you guys we enjoy the same trails. Talk to your team members and fix this, peace.

Worst customer service I have ever seen, Some of the staff have no idea they are able to order products that they do not carry in store. Not only does the staff treat its customers bad but they try to up sell Trek by bashing other brands and they try to up sell their store by bashing other stores. I have not had the pleasure of dealing with their behind the counter staff because after dealing with their floor staff I chose to use Old Town Bike in Tacoma as my go to bike shop simply because their staff is leaps and bounds ahead of anything Bike Tech has to offer. Save your money and take it to a store that earns your business. I will say that the Owner Phil is a pretty good guy he just needs to simply clean house and get some quality guys in there.

I decided to try cycling earlier this year as an alternative way of keeping fit. I went to several bike shops without much success and was thinking that perhaps I would just not bother. I ended up at Bike Tech Tacoma for a Trek Womens night, best decision I made. I had a bike on layaway at another store, which was cancelled. Alex was fantastic, walked me through everything I needed from the ground up, fitted my hybrid bike and answered every question I had (believe me I had many). Six months later I am still getting the same excellent service and support, buying a road bike now. I would not shop anywhere else for cycling, this is a great store and the best in the area.

Excellent customer service, very nice and knowledgeable staff! I recently purchased a bike for my son and Alex at the Tacoma Bike Tech took great care to safety check it, tune it up, and educate us on what to keep an eye on and how to keep it running smoothly for a long time. Ive been bringing all of my familys bikes here for the last few years and have always left impressed and happy. I rarely write reviews, and almost never write to a business owner about good experiences, but Ive done both today for Bike Tech.

I have been to the Bike tech in Olympia and had a much better experience. I was there with my wife to get our bikes repaired. One service man was washing out a carburetor for his motorcycle, one just sat staring at the floor. The woman from service was short and snappy. By the time we took it all in, we just decided to leave. They need better customer service etiquette. Ill be happy to make business elsewhere, where customers are treated with more respect.

Great Job ! I bought my Trek Domane 5.9 from Bike Tech about 4 years ago and Bike Tech always has done a fantastic job keeping me on the road. Alex and the crew do an incredible job - work well to give great service and timely repair. I have always been treated well - and have received both a professional and personal experience - they always seem to solve or resolve any issue. A + in my book !

Got complete tune with new disc brake pads and brake bleed, thought it was A little over priced. Told me a 5 business days, wasnt done. Waited 5 more the tune was done but they had forgotten to order brake pads. Told me bike was good except for pads so I went to a shop down the road and bought pads from them. 2nd ride crank arm came loose. I will not be returning for any reason.

Pros (+4 Stars): When speaking with a Bike Tech member here, they know their stuff, very friendly and will focus on the customer when choosing a bike. I even got a discount for the bike I purchased. Cons (-1 Star): It took me awhile to get some help, as each member was already busy with another customer.

I called around to several bike shops looking for an odd sized tire, and Bike Tech was the only one that carried enough of them in stock. Not only that, but the staff was incredibly kind and had tons of information about the tires I was buying. I will definitely take my business there again!

Absolutely amazing service and extremely awesome, friendly, and helpful people. They have done nothing but help me out with my BMX bike the first and second time Ive ever been to their location. Fast friendly service for sure. I know where Im going to keep going for all my bike needs.

The store claimed they would match a competitors price, but when confronted with a valid lower price they refused to match it. Dealing with them has the same feel as buying a used car. As for service, dont be too surprised if the chain falls off within a week after a tuneup.

They really need to hire someone with good knowledge of bicycles and bicycle accessories... Every question i ask is answered with " I dont know".. Bad customer service.( they really need to hire someone who knows what the F*#! They are doing)

Got a new Bike from here and it works wonderfully. The New Manager Alex was very nice and patient and suggested what I should do to the bike to make it last longer. I have ridden it several times and it still works and looks great!

I havent been to a bike tech in.awhile. but the product that comes.out of the place is incredible , I have had repairs done and they were flawless ,I will repost when I have more to bring to the table .. right now a definite ****
