I have been extremely frustrated with Latus Motors. I hate even writing this review, as I have friends who work there. I am a triumph rider, who also loves Harleys. I have been in the location several times for different reasons. The only times I have actually really had a good experience there is when my girlfriend has been with me. Here are a few things that have happened. Before I wrecked my 98 Triumph Trophy 1200 I worked on the bike myself. During many attempts to buy parts from Latus, I was extremely frustrated because: 1. The parts people even admitted they didnt know much about Triumph. 2. They ordered the wrong parts more than once, because they could not figure out Triumphs system. To be fair though, the only person who has talked to me about the Triumphs was a parts person. I believe his name was Sam. He came over, and talked about the bikes, and he listened enough that when I brought up a harley, he said I probably wouldnt like them because they dont handle like I am used to and what I am looking for. I liked him a bunch. Every other time time that I have been in there looking at the triumphs (with the exception of when my girlfriend has been with me), no one talks to me. In every case, there has not been many people in the store. At one time, I approached a sales person over in the Harley area and they told me that the person who knew about the Triumphs was not there. I HAD to approach them. I was actually in the store yesterday. It was busy, but I noticed several sales people talking to each other. I walked around for about 20 minutes, and only one person said hi to me(but then walked off). I then went out side and sat down on a 2013 Yamaha fz1 (which I am interested in btw) for about ten minutes. I texted people, walked around the bike. The keys were sitting in it. I almost started it up. Heck, I probably could have drove away on it, and no one would have noticed. I only give a second star, because of Sam. Thanks Sam. BTW, I am 42, and dont think I look like a punk kid. I am serious about getting another bike. Maybe Latus will take note. Maybe they wont. I am one who might pay a little more for good service and relationships. This is my closest dealership with in 15 min. grrr... super sad.

Last week I puchased a used Harley from a car dealership in Beaverton, I was able to take it home and test the bike out for 48 hours. If I did not like anything about it, I was able to take it back to the car dealership with no questions asked. So, this was my first Harley and wanted to make sure that my bike had no major problems... Thats where Mike, the service manager, comes in to the picture. I called in and asked if they could look at my bike, he said that there would be a small charge, which i did not mind. Id rather pay a small charge, than to be stuck with a bike that was abused and not well maintained for alot more money. I headed to Latus Motors Harley-Davidson, once I got there Mike helped me out like we were friends. He said "before we pull it into the service garage, let me take it for a spin, for no charge, and if I see that there is something wrong with the bike, then we can go ahead with the actual service check for a small charge". He took care of me and was not pushy about making money, not like some other companys where they try to suck every penny out of you... I felt really happy that I brought my bike there, and I will be back because of Mike. Thanks Mike... I can finally say I am a Harley owner!!!

Ive been a long-time customer of Latus as its the closest HD shop to me from SE Portland. Never, ever again. I do all my own work on my Harley, so Ive been to the parts counter on numerous instances from 2008-2014. Unfortunately, Ive been sold the wrong parts about 90% of the time. Even if you bring in a list of exact part numbers (which you have to do with these minimum wage idiots running the counter) they will still manage to jumble the numbers and sell the wrong part. Its amazing that with all the electronic parts catalogs and paper parts manuals at their disposal, they are still able to give you the wrong items so, so frequently. I fear for the people who actually bring their bikes in for service by the "technicians" at Latus. I would be concerned for my safety if I were you based on their ineptitude when it comes to parts. The employees at Latus are only good for selling overpriced t-shirts and HD garbage for your pets. Thats it. Absolutely avoid Latus unless you need some kitchy overpriced trash with a logo. Ive learned my lesson the hard way and hope to save you some time and headache. Order anywhere else online and get it shipped to your home. Thats what Im doing from now on.

Extremely disappointed in the parts counter employees. Called ahead to see if they had a particular part in stock, they said yes, so off we headed from Vancouver... Got the part and headed home. Opened the box to find the air cleaner was damaged. Fine, it happens. Box it up and head out for trip #2 to Gladstone. Get the part swapped out, box it back up, head back to Vancouver... Get home, open it up, begin setting parts out to prepare for instal... wrong freakin part, they gave us the kit for a touring bike, not a Dyna! WTF?!?! So we call, and again box everything back up and make our 3rd trip to Gladstone... mind you, it is now 4pm, rush hour traffic has begun, yay for us. Return the wrong part.... help them find the correct one and off we go for Vancouver again! Thanks Latus for a 1/2 ass job and wasting the better part of my day and 1/2 tank of gas.... Will not return to Latus for anything every again! Columbia is closer and Paradise has better customer service!
