We bought new carpet for our entire house from this store. We spent weeks repainting our walls and trim before the new carpet was installed. They came and installed all the carpet and put a seam 3 feet into our front entrance. The installer knew that was a bad place for a seam but it was part of the schematic drawling that Home Depot had come up with. I give him credit, he had already called it in before I brought it up to them. So we waited 3 weeks for them to come back with a new piece of carpet that wouldnt entail having a seam that close to the front door. Installers arrive start to lay down the carpet and notice that the shade is off. Which means every piece that it butts up against looks wrong. So the only solution is to redo the entire job!!!! They left that piece of carpet lose on our floors until they were able to reorder the entire house and reinstall. So another 3 week wait. At this point I was pretty annoyed and was in contact with the flooring manager at this store. She was less than helpful and didnt understand the inconvenience they had caused. We moved our furniture the first 2 time and had to insist they move it the third time, in which they acted like they shouldnt have to. So needless to say after taking off 3 separate days from work, 3 different installation and 12 weeks of carpet insanity it was finally in. But our walls that we had spent weeks painting were ruined from all the carpet being put in and removed. We asked that they reimburse us money or give us a gift card for the damage. They gave us 3 gallons of paint to for free to repaint our walls. Great! Just what I want to do, repaint my entire house again. I have emailed, mailed and talked to numerous people at this location with no response and after a year the carpet has started to pull apart at the seems. NEVER BUY CARPET FROM HERE EVER!

Horrible experience with delivery of $2500 in appliances... Delivery service damaged the washer, took it back with them and promised to return 2 days later... Didnt come back for 3 weeks, and then didnt bring correct replacement and wouldnt work with is on their 4 hour "window"... We ate busy working people with active kids, but they cant wait 10 minutes for us to get back from a soccer field. The WORST aspect is how the store manager and delivery company treated us, they absolutely do not care about the customer or their reputation... Apparently they are so big it doesnt matter how they treat people. Blatantly they really do not care about the hassle theyve caused us which is more detailed than I will spend time with here or that we spent a significant amount of money or that the simple proper human thing to do is to be polite courteous and respectful. Not to mention in the service industry when somebody comes to you to spend a lot of money and pays for a service simply to make things easier and you make it infinitely more difficult and then add insult to injury that means that you are simply not a good person. That is the Home Depot manager we spoke with today. They were fine with us returning everything but want us to set up a "window" to have their delivery pick up what we do have which has been sitting in our living room for 3 weeks. No, thanks, we will keep what we have, apparently the profit isnt enough to matter to them anyways so we are not going to inconvenience ourselves further. Cross Home Depot in Powell off of your list! They are so untouchable and busy that they dont have to be decent human beings.

Well start with the pros. I was able to walk in, find what I needed, and they helped me make an order for something they didnt have in-store. Seeming pretty common at that point. Well, I made my order on 6/17, and the estimated date of arrival was set to 6/20. The guy making the order explained it would likely take about 5 days, and that I would receive a call when it was delivered. Well, I went in without getting a call, hoping it would be there. I was told it wasnt shipped yet and that it would be there at some later date, having forgotten at this point what that date was. Again, went back in, didnt get a phone call, and it was not yet shipped. That was around 7/1, and at this point I was slightly annoyed, but it wasnt a huge deal. Finally, 7/19 I get to pick it up. They were having computer trouble and almost sent me away today as well, but the service desk was polite and managed to help. At a month past the estimated date of arrival, Im not in a rush to give much more of my business to them. Lowes has always done well by me, and I should have known better than to go somewhere else because of convenience. I will note, all I ordered was a small piece of carpet. It was a 12 x 1 piece for patching. The fact it took this long to get something so small is beyond me, but it has been a pretty horrid experience having a hole in my carpet while waiting on them.

We wanted to buy a washer and dryer at this Home Depot store. We went into check for any good deals but their price was higher already than Lowes . We asked if they would do a price match . They said yes. We even had a 15% off coupon. Then they agreed to do the price match and apply the coupon upon it. We thought that that was a great deal and went around the city to other competitor stores driving to and fro to get the quote on the washer dryer till the stores last hours. We went back to home depot and showed them the quote and asked for the price match and application of the coupon. They started to say that its either the coupon or the price match . We were so frustrated as they made us get all those quotes from various stores for vain. They said all silly reasons that their systems didnt allow them . Their price match and coupon policies are just bad. We drove nearly 30 miles to and fro this store for vain. The customer support person himself Said Lowes has a better deal than Home Depot . We finally ended up going back to Lowes and getting a better deal . We do want to visit the store again . It was a worst experience. Why do they say things wrongly ? They can be straightforward to say things the right way.I wouldnt recommend this store at all.

Ordered window blinds to fit inside the window frame. Went with my exact measurements. The guy working in window coverings (Paige) said I need to order them an inch more narrow and an inch longer so they fit. I argued that they will fit if they are made to my dimensions. He refused to let me order them the size I wanted. Now I have blinds that go down too far falling over the window sill and too narrow letting light in along the sides. Incidentally waking me up early. I shop at this Home Depot very rarely now. Tried to order trusses another time, the guy had no flipping idea what he was doing and ended up telling me its not possible. Haha Recently millwork laid a huge guilt trip on me for not buying on credit to help him meet his quota to get a bonus. Like to the point of a little fake tear. Give me a break home depot is such a laughing stock in the construction industry. Clueless homeowners is their target audience.
