Cycle Gear has the potential to be a national leader in the powersports space. And in greater Cleveland, they could have a lock on the market, because there are no dealers with any accessories anymore. Unfortunately, they have much more in common with Walmart. The entire Bilt line of products should go right in the trash. That anyone wears a Bilt helmet is a total mystery to me. The Sedici line is next. The cheap (if not inexpensive) products arent the worst of it, because CG doesnt have the market cornered on selling cheap products. CG aspires to be nothing but cheap -- if not inexpensive. Most of the oils and filters can be had for less money at Autozone. if youre going to engage customers, you have to have a basic understanding of where theyre coming from. If you dont know anything about motorcycles, its hard to know what to push. And a quality salesperson should key into what someone has, and be able to point him or her in a direction -- even if the customer knows more than you. I had this exchange with one of the team members last week: "Hey, man! What do you ride?" "Oh, a few things..." "Like what?" "A Suzuki, a couple Hondas and an Aprilia" "What was that last one?" "An Aprilia." "Is that like... A crotch rocket?" "Yeah, something like that." "Whats the Yamaha you have?" "I dont have a Yamaha." "Oh, I thought you said you had a Yamaha." "No, a Suzuki and a couple Hondas." "What kinda Suzuki do you have? I want a Busa." "Yeah, cool. This is an SV650." "Ive never heard of that. Is it a vintage bike?" "I never really thought of it that way, but I guess it is." "What are the Hondas?" "Youve never heard of them." "Yeah, prolly not."

Stopped by today to buy boots and pants, two things that are difficult to get right the first time online. Store closed. At 7:00 pm, really? I dont get off of work until 5:30 in Euclid. On the upside, looking at their hours, theyre open until the ungodly hour of 8:00 on Fridays. Better get there before lunch on the weekends though in case you need time to look around or maybe have to try stuff on. Theyll be closing shortly thereafter. Mayhaps I can give a better review if/when I can actually get into the store.

They are a great group. It is a much better experience in store then online! I highly recommend that someone thinking about a cyclegear product takes the trip to the store if possible. Friendly staff that is willing to walk around the store and help you decide which items to buy, without high pressure selling. Even when they are busy, they seem to swing by and make sure you are doing alright.

Reasonably large selection on Alpinestars gear and even larger selection on more budget focused gear. Helmet selection is huge! What they dont have in Stock theyll order in for you. In conclusion, if you want an actual brick and mortar store to get your riding gear look no further.

Joe is a G. Ive purchased items here a few times. They helped me special order a specific alpinestars jacket and made the purchase very easy. Also had new tires mounted and balanced. Brought one in 10 mins before they closed and he stayed late just to get it done.
