I was scheduled for a test drive of a 2014 Buick with less than 15k miles. The carfax did not reflect any issues or accidents for the vehicle nor was I told of any issues with the vehicle. As I was driving approx. an hour to get to dealership and the vehicle was being brought in from the Akron North Coast Auto, I scheduled my test drive for 2 hours after the time I was told the vehicle would arrive at the Bedford location. Needless to say, when I arrived for my test drive, the vehicle had not arrived from Akron. I waited for approx. 1.5 hrs and was getting ready to leave when the vehicle pulled in. I only waited because I liked my salesman Jason and he kept telling me the vehicle was enroute and should be there shortly as he was being advised. Anyhow, when the car arrived we greeted it at the door. The transport personnel said nothing to us and left the car running for my test drive. Before going on a test drive I walked around the vehicle to check for damage etc. The exterior of the car was so dirty, I gave up trying to distinguish what was a scratch/damage and what was dirt. We had not had rain in at least 3 days so there was no reason the car could not have gone through a wash. The inside of the vehicle was also unclean and had not been detailed. I also noticed that the inside of the drivers side door appeared as if it may have been removed and incorrectly reinstalled. Immediately upon getting behind the wheel, I saw the hood open visual alert was on. It was right in front of the steering wheel and it was fairly large. There was absolutely no way one could not see it. Also, there was an intermittent "dinging" sound to alert the driver to the deficiency. My salesman Jason did open and reclose the hood but the alarm sensors did not go off. I did pull off the lot but turned around almost immediately. Quite frankly, why any dealership would allow a customer to drive a vehicle that very obviously had a potentially dangerous maintenance issue is beyond me. What if I had been driving the vehicle down the highway or any roadway and the hood flew up obscuring my vision and causing an accident?! Upon my return to the dealership, I requested to speak to a manager and Shannon was provided for me to express my concerns. Shannon said he understood what I was saying but then went on to say the vehicle was new to the inventory and basically in their angst to make the vehicle available to their customers, they didnt get around to detailing or servicing it. I would like to note the cargurus internet site indicated the car had been on the market for almost 2 weeks. Surely, that is enough time to service a vehicle. Also, I find it a bit disturbing that North Coast dealerships have no quality control or quality assurance standards for vehicles they are selling especially as everything is "as is" unless covered by the manufacturers warranty. Personally, all of these factors add up to a fatal flaw for me and I will never do business with any North Coast Dealership. I suspect the vehicle I test drove possibly was involved in an accident which went unreported to carfax. If you are reading this and intend to purchase any vehicle from North Coast, I strongly suggest that you have your mechanic check the vehicle for indicators of mechanical problems or evidence of accidents. Buyer beware. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Original: Nick Baron was the associate I worked with. He was very helpful and worked hard to gain me the loan for a newer Nissan Altima with low miles even though there were some road blocks in my situation. Im glad I came to this dealer and a little upset I didnt come here first. Edit 2: Currently at a Nissan dealer having the vehicle I purchased through NCAM inspected. 1. It is NOT a salvage vehicle, however minor repairs are noticeable to the mechanic, so it was damaged and fixed at some point. This is no big deal, in my opinion. 2. The loud engine is because its a performance/sporty vehicle - something Im not used to, at least there isnt anything wrong in that regard. 3. They are resetting the TPMS and that should fix that issue, because the tires are in excellent condition. 4. Ill ask about the key fobs, but regardless i can buy and replace those batteries myself. 5. It rained the day I purchased so they did not detail the vehicle, however Nick Baron messaged me saying to just bring the car in and theyll detail it for free. Finally, they do their best to get you a car and work with your situation. Always look over paperwork before signing - something that I really have to practice, even though it didnt hurt me to read after. The vehicle I was sold is excellent and even the Nissan associate is impressed. Edit1: I noticed a couple of things after leaving the dealership, that although Im going to deal with them and make the best if it, I wish I had seen these before leaving so I could have mentioned them and hopefully get them resolved. First, the TPMS light is on though the tires are filled, so that is one repair I already know I need to take care of. Second, the car is push button start and the remotes have dead batteries - so Im going to have to replace those. Third, in my opinion the car is running loud, I understand its a 6 cylinder so I expect some volume but not to the extent its at. Im definitely going to have the car looked at and fix each issue as necessary - because not even being a mechanic, I know there are a few repairs in my future. Lastly and most importantly: I was shown the Carfax and it stated no accidents, no repairs. Looking through the papers at home, I apparently acknowledged that this vehicle was repaired under a salvage title. Im definitely not happy about that because I transport my three children and their safety is paramount. I didnt realise that Carfax was that unreliable. I wish I had actually been told about the salvage title instead of finding it out after the fact. I would recommend this dealer.

Buyers Beware: Stay away from salesman Dino Insane. Just drove 10hrs from VA Beach Virginia to Ohio to purchase a truck from Dino and North Coast. Worked with Dino for 5 days over the phone and through email. Asked him multiple times to describe the truck to me and take detailed photos of any damage/ wear and tear the truck has. He sent me photos of all the good spots of the truck and said theres no damage or scratches to speak of or to take pictures of. He stated the truck is in like new condition. He explained how great of a dealership they are and proceeded to tell me how they focus heavily on volume rather then marking their vehicles up. The truck was a 2015 with only 11k miles on it. Although I was not expecting perfect, I did however expect him to sell with at least some sort of integrity and accurately describe to me the true condition of the truck. I went to the bank and picked up the check Friday afternoon and got on the rd. 10hrs from VA Beach to Before OH. Stayed in a hotel last night and was at the dealership 30 mins before they opened so I could look over the truck. Upon arrival I immediately noticed the truck had not gone through detail and was parked in the lot with all the other vehicles. When I approached it I immediately became more frustrated as I started noticing scratches throughout. Finally, on top of the passenger side fender there was damage that had caused the paint to crack all the way through exposing bare metal. Because of this the metal fender had already started to rust trough. All this on a 2015 Ram 1500 with only 11k miles! This truck was beat on and beat down yet Dino described it to me as like new condition. I waited around for the dealership to open which allowed me a little bit of time to cool down. When the sales manager arrived I explained what took place and felt he was genuinely empathetic towards me for the misrepresentation of the truck by Dino. He offered to pay for our gas for the return trip to VA Beach for which we respectfully declined as I was ready to simply get back on the road home at this point. From numerous tolls, a hotel stay, and gas to and from, I am out over $275 because of Dinos lack of integrity and unethical sales practices. Had he accurately described the truck as I requested, I would have still been interested in another vehicle the dealership had for sale, but after arriving and seeing the truck in person and feeling lied to l, there was no vehicle or price that would have convinced me to do business with this dealership or Dino.
