My wife and I were practically exhausted haggling back and forth with major car dealers from Lakeland, Orlando, St. Augustine and Jacksonville to find a VW that we liked- and that didnt entail hidden fees and back-door costs. Every estimate we received had some strange and shady things baked in and even after several phone calls, emails and meetings in person, they still couldnt shoot straight with us or explain the extra padding in our final purchase price. Its hard to believe people still do business this way. My wife found Accurate Automotive, read the reviews, and we trudged down there, expecting the same run-around. Even as the salesman was coming out to greet us at the front, I was literally thinking, "Well, here we go again". And then it changed. Hayden Lewis and Accurate Automotive changed it. The first thing we noticed was how detailed and immaculate the cars were; both VWs we looked at were pristine. Hayden indicated how much Accurate values good detailing work. We did a test drive and Hayden essentially let the car speak for itself- I think he knew if we didnt like it, there were no worries and no pressure. We really liked the car and it was a good fit for us. But wed been down this road before; now comes the pricing. What happened next is the reason why I will always recommend Hayden to my car-buying friends. He came back with our purchase price and when I asked him about each charge, he explained every single one. He was straight to the point when I asked about the "Doc Fee"- and he said, "Thats our profit". Plain and simple. While it says that on the contract itself, there was zero B.S, zero back-pedaling, and zero justification- the exact opposite of every experience wed had so far. It was clear and to the point. Hayden was incredibly informative about the current state of car buying and how Accurate fits in with this scene. In my estimation, they run a lean shop and arent trying to wow you over with fluffy amenities on site that most of the big dealers do to conceal the fact that they are trying to fleece you for as much as they possibly can. Its the exact opposite at Accurate Automotive. The experience we had was honest and to the point. There as no run around. One of THE worst experiences my wife and I ever had was working with a finance manager at a highly reputable, major VW dealer in Jacksonville. Being a numbers guy, Im always wary of the "2nd half of the deal", the finance part. I was taken aback by how Mike, one of the finance guys at Accurate, was so down to earth and informative. He explained everything in minute detail and because the frequency of our car buying is only one or two cars every five years or so, I got the feeling from his delivery and demeanor that he was looking out for our best interest on several aspects of the loan, which you do not normally experience at all. So many times finance guys try and take advantage to see what your knowledge is of the numbers behind car-buying and then exploit that. Mike was the furthest from this and my wife and I sincerely appreciated it. All in all, our car buying experience was excellent at Accurate Automotive and I will go back to Hayden Lewis for many more purchases.

he USAA car buying service was excellent. However there were significant issues with the dealer. I want to root for Accurate Automotive of Jax, but with the horrible and rude service we received from the service department, it ruined the experience. We made the purchase through the service long distance; living in Fairhope, Alabama and traveling 6 hours to Jacksonville, Florida to finalize and pick up, we made arrangements drive in a week out after final price was negotiated and financing set up. The sales manager Omar called us midway through that week demanding a $500 non refundable binder. We knew the vehicle had not completed their standard some-odd-point inspection and was not on the lot yet...it was being checked prior to purchase and not out for sale. As it turns out we were not wrong for balking at this new requirement, because after driving off the lot it was noticed that the vehicle drove sideways, and the tail end was tracking right due to a bent axle. After speaking to the sales manager he agreed this was to be looked at. When we returned the next morning the service manager rudely blew us off and we met again with the service manager. We agreed that the purchase would go through if the axle was repaired and we planned to return the next week to pick it up. We requested documentation regarding services done during inspection, and we were given documentation regarding everything but the axle replacement. The only info provided was "used axle", but no details on age or mileage of the used axle. Upon further request, the service manage told me Im making this "difficult" and refused to provide any detail on mileage of axle. Being already that far in, with over 18 hours of driving, I completed the sale and returned home with the vehicle, however am still very disappointed in the service managers lack of transparency and poor professionalism. The only high note was our sales person Ray and how the owner paid our travel costs at our return for pick up. They say they make it right, but fall short on details. Now we have found that the interior door handles were apparently glued back together and are disintegrating. If this is what to expect from their inspections (bent axles and disintegrating door handles) I cannot and will not recommend this business and suggest USAA review their participation with this approved dealer.

Kind, Knowledgeable and Efficient The Beginning: Recently had the pleasure to visit Accurate Automotive. Here’s my story- I swung in late on a Monday to test drive a Nissan Juke (I was interested in buying one that was on another side of town but didn’t want to fight the traffic). Hayden greeted me and grabbed the keys without chatting me to death or requiring my life story. We drove the car and I loved it! He was able to answer some of my more random questions about the car while we drove and didn’t BS me if he didn’t know the answer. When we got back to the dealership I felt comfortable enough to go in and talk numbers. The car was priced below market for the miles it had on it so no haggling was necessary. The Middle: I had a car to trade in and wanted to finance the Juke so there was some paperwork and waiting to do but nothing out of the ordinary. Everyone that worked there was kind, approachable and patient even though they were closing for the evening. The lobby was scrupulously clean and even though they had shut down the coffee station Hayden showed me how to make a fresh pot of coffee. Tony (the GM and co-owner) worked out a trade in value and an initial finance offer. I accepted the trade in offer (it was right in line with KBB) but decided to pass on the financing until I could talk to my bank in the morning. Surprisingly they let me take the Juke home that night giving me an opportunity to drive it more and show it to my family. The End: Financing happy ending- got my monthly payment down by $100 and kept my interest rate under 5%. They sent a courier to my house to get my spare key and some follow up paperwork so I didn’t have to make the drive back to the dealership. They made the whole transaction very effortless and stress free. The communication that evening and through the following day was clear, concise and timely. I have already referred them to my husband for when he purchases a truck this summer.
