DO NOT BUY YOUR CAR HERE!!!! We leased our Nissan Altima back in October of 2011. It never drove right it always felt sluggish and hesitated when we would push the gas pedal. The Vehicle only had 4,000 miles on it when we had it in the first time for major issues that this dealership refused to acknowledge. Over the course of 2.5 years we had it in several (8-10) more times with the same transmission issue that almost caused a horrible accident when it was completely non-responsive while sliding on icy roads. We took it in and insisted they tell us what was wrong with this car and only then did they finally run the computer codes and discover it needed a new transmission. This unfortunately wasnt the only issue with the vehicle. We also had an ongoing issue with the front seat. It would thump and it never felt secure in the vehicle. We had it in at least 5 times for this problem as well before they finally realized that it wasnt actually attached to the car an the "fixture" was defective. I have literally been thumped around for the past 2.5 years and am stuck with this junk till December. They supposedly clam to have now fixed these issues (among others) but I dont trust this car, I dont put my children in this car, it is unsafe and it has put my life at risk more times than I can count. All we wanted was to be able to turn this piece of crap in early penalty free and get our down payment back since we have been paying for a defective vehicle all along. They WILL NOT HELP YOU. They will tell you they are sorry 1,000 times and that there is nothing they can (or will) do. Then they will direct you to Nissan Corporate which is even worse. You will never get anyone who can do anything for you on the phone, they will not give you a response for 2 weeks and they will DENY your claim without providing a reason. But they are truly sorry you will have to keep risking your life but their last and final answer is that they will do nothing. They obviously deny ALL claims. Nobody will accept responsibility for this and it is beyond frustrating. You will feel taken advantage of, helpless and so angry you might scream (hopefully into a pillow). They will expect you to be satisfied with their ability to do NOTHING and you will continue to pay top dollar for their defective JUNK. I filed a claim with the Better Business bureau and will do everything in my power to help others not suffer the way we have. Do yourselves a favor and find a dealer that will care if they have put you in a defective car and actually help you get into a safe car. I have about 10 clients a day that LOVE to gossip and I plan to warn each and every one of them about NISSAN and FRED MARTIN and how they should RUN as far and fast from this company as possible. Word travels fast and its only a matter of time they are forced to actually help people instead of take advantage of them. So this is my gift to you, DO NOT BUY HERE!!! TRUST me when I say this advice is truly a gift!!! So Im sorry Fred Martin for the negative review, you earned it.

Dishonest. Extremely so. Other thing is they have no value for your time as a customer. The bad reputation car sales people receive is from places like this. Its not fair in any other industry for the person you are talking to, to straight up lie to your face. But thats what happens here. I had an agreement with my car salesman for a certain amount of discount he was providing me. I did sign/initial some papers to that affect. I return the subsequent day to see totally new numbers in front of me. When asked why, the sales manager no less, literally made stuff up about how I was being charged a different money factor. He went on to lie about how the money factor is not a rate (which it is, I looked it up, its just multiplied by a factor and doesnt appear as a percentage). He asks if I want to see the breakdown of the two deals so he can show me. I of course did. After coming back with the two papers he literally admits to lying shows that the money factor actually was the same and the only difference was that he decreased the amount of discount we had previously agreed to. On any other day I would have tore up the contract but I was so pressed for time, had to make it to work, and had already spent way too much time in the place (which is the next factor I would like to talk about) and had already traded in my old vehicle and had temp plates on the new vehicle. So, yeah, about time. They have no respect for the customers time. I was told to come at 3pm on the second day I was there. The finance dude apparently went to lunch at 1:00pm and even though they were aware I was coming at 3, didnt get back till 3:20pm and didnt see me till 3:30pm (despite me being the only customer he needed to see that afternoon). Also on the previous day I had to wait 2 hours to see the finance person on top of all the time negotiating a very average deal prior to that. I was told the reason was that there were two individuals ahead of me but later on the sales manager would tell me it was because the had sold 9 vehicles, which leads me to believe despite being told there were only two people ahead of me there may actually have been more and they were just being dishonest. Either way it was a long wait. And as someone who had to leave for work later (night shift) I told them I would have to come back the next day so I can make it to my work on time. At this point (though I had waited literally for hours) the sales manager stated that if I didnt wait that I would have to tear up the deal. Of course I waited, ended up being late to work only to come back the next day and find they had changed the deal anyways. So yeah. I wont be going back here. I should note that I was recently contacted by the general manager who seems like a good guy and did apologize. He stated that if there were issues in the future, that I should contact him.

After three decades of purchasing new vehicles throughout the country my most recent experience has been by far the best experience and most rewarding experience. Rob Gunther and the team at Fred Martin represent some of the most professional and engaging I have encountered. My process was simple - My wife and I determined the vehicle we wanted, reviewed numerous reviews on the vehicle, settled on all the options, and examined pricing on the numerous sites on the internet. I launched a query for the specific model on one of the review sites and my inbox was filled with immediate responses. Rob was one of the respondents however his response was personal and presented in a manner to help us with our purchase. By doing this all up front it removes the back and forth of looking at options and price at the dealership. My wife and I simply showed up, verified the options, and then performed a closer examination of the vehicle along with a road test. That was it, done and simple; we walked back in and initiated the paperwork; within 90 minutes we were completed. I would also emphasize we drove over sixty minutes to come to Fred Martin and after this experience this is where I will purchase my vehicles. If they can replicate this experience over and over then they truly will be best car dealership I have ever observed from the sales perspective. We are looking forward to the same experience when returning for the semi-annual oil changes and any necessary scheduled maintenance. Finally Rob is what anyone that serves as an account manager for vehicles should strive to be - very personal, accommodating, professional, human, and 97% percent knowledgeable on just about every question I asked about the vehicle (if someone can answer all of your questions immediately there is a chance they are probably not telling the truth) and answered the remaining 3% within 12 hours of my visit. I would drive 2 hours one way for this experience every time. Fred Martin is taking the time to prepare our selected vehicle and delivering to us this week. We are looking forward to the arrival and many great years with the vehicle we selected.
