I found THE SEQUOIA Id been searching for on Prestiges website. I called and spoke with Shane in great detail about this vehicle. I asked if there were significant paint touch ups, dents in the body, pet damage or cigarette smoke present. He claimed the only significant item was a scratch on the bumper that could be buffed out. He claimed and I quote "honestly, its been very well cared for"....... Shane knew we were driving 10 hours round trip to get this well care for vehicle. He explained the price was reflective of their business model; wholesale pricing at a rate of 100-150 sold per month. He had the sales manager drive the car the night prior to our arrival to make sure it was in tiptop shape. All along we texted as I asked if the headphones for DVD present; yes. Are floor mats present? No answer. To cut to the chase we arrived and the vehicle had more body blemishes than could be imagined. There were pops coming up thru the bumper causing spidery cracks in the paint. The leather didnt look right on the seats. The driver door leather was worn away and has a slit in it. Inside the lift gate are scratches that could only have happened from a pet. Paint inside the door threshold was simply gone. There was rust on the exterior body above the license plate but the KICKER TO BEAT ALL WAS ......... There was rust INSIDE the vehicle. The3rd row of seats have metal brackets anchoring them into the vehicle; completely rusted. The 2nd row seat mechanisms; completely rusted. The in-door speakers were clogged with crud. Needless to say we believe this car has been in water. Its a 2012 with $55k miles [its on their site now] and its in some of the worse shape I have ever seen. When Shane saw our shock he began to make statements like.....if it were in better shape it would have to cost more..... What happened to the wholesale business model? Now were being told the car its priced for its condition. Shane will tell you that we left his lot graciously… Perhaps we should have talk to the manager before we left but he had driven the car home the night before and knew exactly the poor shape its in. The pictures online dont show it. We poured over those looking for the deficiencies described. The fact is the pictures dont show it… The fact is Shane didnt share the true nature of the vehicle with us. The fact that the best feature of this vehicle was its carpet tells a story coupled with the fact that the floor mats are missing… Shane could never find those. This vehicle has been submerged in water… The speakers are clogged because of it. The carpet was replaced and the rusty seats were installed on top of it. The rust is evident and easily apparent.... What incredible waste of our time. All I can say is that you cant trust the picture and the salesman seems to only want to sell a car at great expense to the customer. I ask myself is Shane a bad guy or just clueless? My advice is dont make a special trip.

For the record, I am a female and I actually know A LOT about cars, they are one of my passions in life. I only start this review like this because I know I was treated the way I was because I am female and unfortunately most men think we are stupid. Especially when it comes to cars and life I guess, who knows. All I do know is the guys running this place are total scumbags. With that said, I drove about 7 hours to get a specific car, got there, car was about 7 out of 10 as described, inspected it inside and out, threw it on the lift and everything. Agreed on a price, I paid them cash, signed the paperwork. Done deal. I even had to wait around for an extra hour for my bf to return from the rental car drop off, everyone was accommodating and everything seemed good. Until the next day. I started getting phone calls saying they needed $500 more dollars, for what reason? Who knows. They said the woman in finance messed up (I paid cash) blah blah blah. So without any paper work sent to me as to WHY they needed $500 more, they just went ahead and charged my bfs credit card. As stated, I did NOT sign off on any new car price, you gotta be kidding me. Im thinking to myself...We signed contracts, I paid almost $4000 over KBB for the stupid car and now you are trying to fleece me for another $500? Are you THAT hard up for money? So of course I call the guy and ask STERNLY what the problem is and this condescending schmuck starts to come at me on some Do you know who you are yelling at? type nonsense. Yelling? I was most defiantly not. Do I know who I am talking to? I sure do, the scumbag who is trying to fleece the dumb girl out of another $500. This one then proceeded to call me Sweetie and Hon and tells me to settle down and take it easy. All in the most smug tone, as if he had any idea who is was talking to. I obviously hung up on him, reversed the charge and am now posting this review and will next be reporting them to the BBB. And since the guy who tried to play me will probably be reading this.... Let me tell you who you were talking to... You were talking to a 35 year old female who came into your business and dropped over $15,000 cash on a 13 year old car which is technically only worth $11,000. Are you mad because a female came in dead set on a price to pay and she got it? Or are you more upset that a female knows the difference between a N.A. Engine and a turbo, hence the fact she drove over 7 hours for the 2nd highest revving NA Engine EVER MADE? I dont know what your problem is, Sir, but you are a real piece of work. The best part is I would have paid $2000 more for the car but look how karma plays out in the end. Do not trust these men as far as you can throw them. PS. Sir, I also know more about every car on your lot than the boys who sell them.

Ok so first this is kind of long but bear with me… This is my personal experience with Prestige Auto. Seen a nice 2015 Chrysler 200 w/ only 23K miles. I been looking for awhile now and the price seemed right, so I travel 2+hrs to get to Prestige auto. Got there drove the car and found some immediate issues with it (some small) including: Taillight out, front headlight out, interior dome light falling down, touchscreen didn’t function, oil needed changed, brakes shimmy when slowing down and it was dirty. So we were told that the screen needed only recalibrated and a dealer could do it. They then took the car in the back to fix the other issues. They bring the car out take a look at it and all they did was jam the dome light back in place (it started to fall down immediately ), they just reset the oil life monitor (didn’t change it), didn’t change the rear bulb, replaced the headlight bulb with the wrong one, and didn’t clean it worth a damn. My 4 year helps me detail cars better than these guys and fix them. Sent it back in for more cleaning and to look at the headlight and dome light. Comes back out and dome light had some adhesive on it and barely holding into place and they said they cannot replace the headlight bc they didn’t have one that would work and I would have to go to Chrysler. By this time I wanted to leave (against better judgement bought the car anyway and they stated that screen only needed calibrated and that the headlights they would pay for if we took it to a local dealer). So a week later now at the local dealer they tell me that the touch screen had been vandalized and punched and the headlights are aftermarket and been modified and then billed me for the diagnosis. Well I ended up fixing the headlight and rear light myself and talked to prestige on the touchscreen. They had no loaner car available, so I asked to send me a new touchscreen. I would put it in. They did and the first one didn’t work.. The plugs in the back didn’t match up to my old one… so another few weeks and I get another screen. Got it in and now it needs a Chrysler dealer to program it (my local dealers didn’t want to hassle with it bc I didn’t buy it from them) so back to Ohio and go to a local Chrysler dealer near prestige auto. They fixed it finally and I have a car that is now working properly yes prestige payed for it, but this whole hassle took almost two months to straighten out, lots of phone calls, txts, and emails, and I never received to check to cover the bill for the local Chrysler dealer which I was promised. So in summary these people will feed you any line of BS to get you to buy the car and provide little support afterwards. There local mechanics I wouldn’t trust to build a potato gun.
