really like Hobby Lobby, despite the fact that their prices are a bit higher than other crafts stores. They do have more unique and a larger selection of items to make up for it though. I love their home decor and they are constantly putting different selections of items on sale. When items go out of season they are typically 66% off and a lot of the in season home decor is 50% off. There is even a 90% off section, Ive have managed to find a couple gems for practically nothing. If you are actually putting together a large project be warned if you need multiples of an item. I organized a baby shower for my best friend last year so I needed the same ribbon, twine, and flowers for the diaper cake, goody bags, raffle items, and other decor. So Hobby Lobby sort of fell short for my immediate needs as they only stock 2-3 of each item in some of their craft areas. You probably wouldnt run into this issue if you only need 1-2 of an item. They also put out their Christmas and Thanksgiving items in July. So brace yourself for that in 90 degree whether. I know thats just how retail is but in North Carolina as it is, we barely experience winter temps when it actually is Christmas. It kind of kills the experience. The employees are pretty helpful and the cashiers are always very polite. Overall Hobby Lobby is a nice place to shop. Be on the look out for sale items and use those coupons for the best price.

Im so glad Hobby Lobby opened up this store in Winston-Salem. I had shopped at Hobby Lobby in other states, and loved them. Theyre great stores, and this location is no exception. Its large, and has everything from home decor (including super hero items and "man cave" decorations) to furniture, silk flowers to fabric and sewing notions, seasonal decorations, jewelry items, models, toys, gifts, etc. Their staff is friendly and helpful. Their framing department helped my wife to find a very beautiful yet economical alternative to a custom mat and frame of a print I had received as a gift. Although their prices are reasonable, theyre always having great sales throughout the store. Also, if you "google" Hobby Lobby coupon, you can find a 40% off of one regular price item coupon (print out or show them on your phone). Now if theyd just open up a store in Mount Airy . . .

I expected a quick trip here, because I was en route to their competitor. I stopped here only because I was going to pass by on my way. Im happy that I made the stop. I was looking for a picture frame and the precut mats to go inside. I wanted colors to match a photograph I was framing as a Mothers Day gift. I wish I would have taken a picture, because it looked professionally done once completed. Mom was truly happy. Staff were pleasant, professional, helpful and welcoming. Prices were great; I saved about 15% from my budget. Selection was plentiful.

I love Hobby Lobby there are so many great items to look at and to choose from when decorating the house. I love all the seasonal items and I wish some of the seasonal items would return like the glass monograms you stick in your yard . I bought one at Hobby Lobby in High Point before the store open in Winston Salem and I could not find any more . PLEASE BRING THEM BACK. I am so glad Hobby Lobby stays true to their beliefs of being closed on Sundays. THANK YOU

Hobby Lobby was my very best craft store. I have spend hundreds there over the years. For months now I cant get 10" rolls of deco mesh. I need about 15 rolls of red white and blue. Every time they say its the warehouse. Mesh to make wreaths is a big seller . Are the going out of business as far as wreath making????????

Too expensive & I find that "sales items" posted are misleading. I bought a small ball of yarn on sale so I thought 5.00 & then I found the exact at Walmart for 2.50. Also time spent there is mostly looking for a bargain time wasted. Otherwise on the good side of things, you will find more crafts but way over priced.

Okay...other than hearing about the Contraception stuff on the radio...wasnt too familiar...went today looking for small parts for a metal project...basically just another "Michaels" or "JoAnnes"...we need a HobbyTown in WS...I guess I was expecting something different. ..good selection for the stuff they carry...

This Hobby Lobby pretty much has it all from drawing and painting equipment to miniature models, from man cave decorations to fabric. The store seems a bit cramped but it is manageable. Good prices but I would like to see more sales go on especially for out of date equipment and materials.

Not much into these types of stores but went in with my wife and there is a ton of items in there. Anything you could want for that type of place. Very friendly staff as well. Perfect for the crafting type. Great layout and items are easy to find.

They have the best floral section around. Quite a few oddities from others. They always have many things on sale without markups. I also love their fabric selection with a lot of places out of business or limited selections.
