Ive been raised in a business atmosphere, as I were to inherit my familys company. During that time I was working for them, Ive learnt to distinguish the right attitude, from wrong. Heres how this business is doing absolutely horridly, based on my experiences. Yes, multiple. Store managers are suppose to stand in an upright posture, smile, be genuinely concerned and take the necessary action to work with someone. My first impression of this pitiful excuse for a higher-up had not only failed that role, walking incredibly slow, no smiles, hit-and-miss eye contact, but went the extra mile to make it clear she disliked me for no feasible, logical reason. In one of the many instances I had followed up, Kira had lashed out aggressively at me, despite knowing she needs people on the team, had stated that she "didnt feel like" going through the hiring process. Kasie, the general manager, had stated in our first interview that shed teach me how to be a cashier, so it wouldnt be the store manager filling those shoes to do so. Not only was I torn, but I was confused beyond belief, because Kasie and every other employee had emphasized on how they need more help to take the load off their hands, due to them being forced to work on such limited supply of people. The day I were to have my second interview conducted by the store manager, I learnt that she decided to take a one week vacation. Starting the day the interview were to be made. I decided to come in five days after, just to have a pleasant conversation with the employees, since they told me repeatedly that theyre surprised I wasnt hired yet. Not long after that, just two days after, decided to take ANOTHER two days off, thereafter. This incident happened 4/30/16, and if theres any question on how the circumstance truly went down, Kasie, is a witness in the situation. When performing what was now was my final follow-up, I was patiently waiting by the closed cashier counters, and couldnt smile, due to knowing Id be facing the lazy store manager again. A customer said that she couldnt help but notice that I was having a rough day, and gave me three pieces of chocolate that were filled with caramel. After the incredibly sweet gesture, I almost immediately started to cry. When I confronted Kira, the store manager, she slanted her hips, rolled her eyes, and had started to go on about how she didnt feel Id be suited for the job, due to me saying I had a bit of a fear of phones. In which, I responded that though it did make me a little afraid, I was still more than capable and willing to put myself through that, if it meant I had a job to be able to feed myself with. She quickly snapped: "I cant take that risk." As if I were a felon, all because of a small phobia of mine. As I was telling her it wasnt impossible for that to change, she began raising her voice and continuously talking over me, not letting me squeeze in a single word. I had to, at one point, ask her to tone down her voice, and asked why she had to resort to doing so in the first place. Her response was: "Because I dont feel like youre hearing me." Apparently she thinks people cant change, no matter how willing and eager they are to help the store. She ultimately remarked: "I dont think youd make a great cashier. This conversation is over. Goodbye." (I just wanted to be a stocker.) After walking out, I admitted that I felt she was too lenient for her position, since she has been working in Michaels for over 20 years, and that no one has the power to address her terrible behavior. I told her that I was going to make a report for her disgusting mannerisms. She stopped in her place, and came less than a foot in front of me, stating that she was, and I quote, "The only one who mattered" in the store. I never met such a narcissistic beast of a girl. Not even a woman, but a highly, immature, girl, for someone her age. If I could give this no stars what-so-ever, I would in a heart beat. Avoid this place at all costs.

People are just rude. I remember when it was black Friday and Me and my Dad were Over there and didnt know where to line up at so We accidentally Cut in front of somebody. Trust me when I say this person was Rude I mean it was rude. "GET TO THE BACK OF THE LINE" They need better management.

Very good, except I did not find the candle wick size I was looking for. This is not the first time this has happened. Although I did find some things I wish the candle making section were larger

Good selection for arts and crafts. Most of the time theres no employees around if you need help. Aisles are usually left a mess in the evening from someone starting a floor set that morning.

Lot of stuff there for crafters, just not what we were looking for. Then again, nobody else had it, either, so shes just gonna have to make it, herself. Still and all, a good place to shop.
