I just returned from a NC holiday where I went to the Waynesville Fly Shop to set me up to go fly fishing. I was a little intimated because I am a woman and I have not gone fishing in decades but Gary immediately set me at ease. He is kind and friendly. His shop is very nice and the other customers seemed very content as well. Gary set me up to go fishing with a local guide called Jason van Dyke who was wonderful. Also very friendly and knowledgeable and his guiding made fly fishing seem easy. I caught more fish than I could count (different sizes, breeds, wild and stocked). Jason is very personable and made the fishing fun. I highly recommend both of them.

Hunter Banks is most comprehensive fly shop in Western North Carolina. They have so much gear, equipment, tying materials and knowledge they will keep any angler busy catching fish for a long time. Their guides are amazing as well. Their job is to put customers on fish and they do their jobs well. If youre interested in fishing this is the spot to gear up.
