We pay for a banfield wellness plan and go to a different office but had an emergency. The banfield here opens very early in the morning and offers full hospital services. Knowing the hours here and services offered, and knowing the discount our plan gives us, we did not hesitate to go there with our dog in need of emergency treatment. We walked in and clearly were rushed and panicked. We asked to see a vet right away and were told by the receptionist (brows raised at us- zero concern for the dog) that even though they are open early that a vet will not be in for two hours. When asked "what am I supposed to do??" The vet tech responded by handing us a pamphlet for an emergency vet nearby. Its bizarre to me that a vet would have another vets brochures handy- but the lazy and uncaring attitude of the receptionist did not provide me with any comfort or peace of mind. On a side note, this is probably the worst retail petsmart location I have ever been to with the laziest and lousiest employees I have ever had the misfortune of encountering- so it does not surprise me that the vet within behaves the same. This is also the only petsmart where I have ever been told by a manager that if I want to pay the price advertised at petco to "go shop there".

Ive never shopped at this Petsmart, but I brought my dog in to be groomed today and was blown away (in a good way) by the staff! I think the name of the girl who groomed my dog was Jennifer. My dog is VERY difficult to groom (bites, screams, etc) and sometimes requires extra handling so they can cut her hair. Rather than blaming me or my dog, as other groomers have done, Jennifer kept apologizing that the cut was not as neat as she would have liked it and saying how she felt so bad that my dog was clearly so nervous. She even went so far as to discount the price, since she didnt feel it was as good of a cut as she could have done! Personally I think it looks great and cant tell any difference from other cuts she has had but I was really shocked by this level of customer service. I will definitely be returning!

Just wanted to comment on the idiot ranting about PetSmart misdiagnosing his dog. Banfield Pet Hospital is a COMPLETELY separate entity than PetSmart. If youre unsatisfied with Banfield, go to their website and give them a bad review! PetSmart in no way is responsible for the service you received at the vet. Its completely unfair and ignorant to blame PetSmart for a mistake that Banfield made. Make sure youre ranting and raving about the correct business next time before you post such hateful slander! It has been my experience that every employee at this PetSmart truly cares about every pet and pet parent that comes in.

Ill start off with the grooming services here - I bring my two puppies here every few months to get groomed, and we only have the great Jake do it. He knows my dogs by their name, loves them, and even called up to see how they were doing. Prices here in the store are a little bit high, but worth it for my pets. The rest of the staff are very friendly as well, the hours are absolutely stellar, especially grooming hours (again, the grooming here is awesome). The staff here never try to up-sell me. Its kinda dark in the store, though. I have trouble seeing products sometimes. Great store.

Took my puppy in for an appointment and was told that they couldnt do him because his hair had knots and they would need to shave him completely. I brush my dogs hair daily! For 1100, I dont have time not to care for my puppy! I took my baby to A Puppy Love Pet Groomer (whos fabulous by the way) on Hwy 55 here in Durham who was able to groom my dog without shaving him completely. Either they are too inexperienced or just didnt want to service me *shoulder shrug*

This new Petsmart location has much to be desired, it is roughly half the size of the Apex location and carries less merchandise. We recently brought our 6month chocolate lab here to get groomed and were extremely dissatisfied at the customer service and professionalism of their grooming department. When we picked up our pup he had as much loose hair on him as when he went in (3hrs earlier) waste of $30. We are headed back to Beaver Creek Petsmart.

I gotta say, I was a bit worried coming in after reading such terrible reviews. After 5 mins in this store, I realized these reviews are completely bogus! Their staff is extremely kind and helpful. I was in search of a guinea pig and a guy named Alex was an expert. In fact, most of their staff is educated well. I felt super satisfied after leaving. Thank you pet smart!

Jake & Noah in grooming were amazing. We have a rescue dog that can be aggressive towards small dogs, I was super nervous to bring her in but Jake & Noah were awesome in handling her and put me at ease. She had a wonderful time, was on her best behavior, & got a well needed bath. They also did great with our senior dog! We will definitely be back.

Dont be fooled by false promises. After two sessions with Nellie for nearly $100, with the Petsmart guarantee that our min-pin would learn at least one command (Come!), we were told, "There is nothing more I can do." Well, you could have honored the guarantee and given us our money back. What a complete waste of time and money.

We always have good experiences here. Their prices are good, particularly when you get something on special. They took great care of us when our kids were getting into having fish. They also have good services for puppy training. We get our dog groomed here and they always do a good job on his very difficult coat.

Ok selection of products.They often dont show enough brand selections and often only have the pet smart brand stuff (for certain things) which is usually not good quality. Recent improvements in customer service has made this place better.

Petsmart store is great but I wouldnt say the same for the grooming department. Petsmarts grooming has different prices for puppies but when my dog turned 7 months old I was told he wasnt edgiable for the puppy price anymore.

Great place to take your dogs for grooming. The staff is very friendly and they really seem to enjoy their job. We take our Westie and Sheltie and have always had a good experience.
