UNPROFESSIONAL Had appt. for my 4lb. yorkie that Laura had groomed once before. Was quoted a price by receptionist of $25 instead of $40, because I was washing her and bringing her in combed out and dried.(she has never been washed by anyone else. I use special shampoo- highly allergic) This price was not offered to me previously.When I brought her in I told Laura to just be careful of her, with the harness, she has on occasion had collapsing trachea and she was 13yrs. old. I also mentioned I had given her a homeo pathic remedy for anxiety. Because of that , I was told she could not do her because of anxiety med, to bring her in the next day at noon. (saying it was co. policy) The next morning at 9:30 the store manager calls stating that Laura was not comfortable grooming such an old dog with health problems. ( My yorkie looks and acts like a pup and is very healthy). I was not happy with this B.S. of an excuse especially at this late date. I called my vet an asked if shed ever heard of a situation like this because of a collapsing trachea and not being able to be groomed...answer...NEVER, and did not see any reason it should be. I then called another local Petco and spoke to a groomer and related the story. This groomer said he had 4 regular customers with the same problem...not an issue. He said he just uses a special harness, and as for age...as long as they can stand, also not an issue and offered to do her. I believe this is about the fact that I WAS OFFERED the discounted price, and Laura could not be bothered to do it for that price and she had the backing of her manager. NOT MY PROBLEM, and they should stand behind the price that was offered even if the receptionist made a mistake. I feel they acted very unprofessionally, and would never go back there, not even to the store.

I went in to get my cats hair trimmed down, and her nails clipped. I had just gotten my cat, and took her to the vet and the groomer said my cat had fleas. She told me that she counted over 100 fleas on her, but when I asked to see the fleas she couldnt find any.. Pretty weird right? I then buy the medicine to fix the non-exestent problem. She told me she would call me whenever they were done. I was watching her from the window, and they had my cat pinned down to the ground trying to clip her nails(which isnt hard with a calm cat like mine) I left to go get something to eat, and wait for a call from them. I waited 3 hours and no call, so I go back to see what the heck was going on, and they said oh we will get started soon. I had to sit and watch them so it would get done. I am so incredibly angry about this. An appointment that could have taken an hour or so, took almost 5 hours! Overpriced and so rude! TAKE YOUR ANIMALS SOMEWHERE ELSE!!

Unprofessional place!! Especially, one part of management. Nathan is the only nice part of management. I had a horrible experience with the dog trainer. She set a standing schedule for my dog she never told me about, and then told me she was to booked to fit my dog in other then her schedule she made, and didnt go over it with me, and to goto the Durham store after I already paid for my training lessons at that store. So, I got a refund!! Really! And, then she had my dog in for a session and double booked that time with another client she sent away. The whole store is horrible!!

They did an absolutely HORRIBLE job grooming my sweet puppy. He was clearly not brushed, his collar and tags were still caked in mud, and they cut the quick when trimming his nails so badly it took nearly an hour for it to stop bleeding and for him to stop favoring that paw. This is the second time he has had his nails cut there and both times they have cut him and done a sloppy job. I will not be coming back.

We love this Petco. We have taken our puppy there for Puppy 1 and Puppy 2. We love Whitney. She is easy to communicate with, and is great with our scared, timid little girl. Nathan, Jane, and the rest of the staff are also great, kind, and patient. Weve never had her groomed, so I cant give in-out on that, though.

the worst customer service i have ever experienced in my live the employee that assisted me was very rude and unprofessional and made it obvious that she would have rather been doing something else rather than her job.

The store was to open at 9.ooam .The workers didnt open the doors until 9.15am. The lady at the grooming department was so rude to lady in front of me I didnt feel good about leaving my dog, so I left.
