My review is mostly about the dog training, although the all the staff Ive interacted with so far is knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and laid back. Initially, we went to the Southpoint location to register for training. We filled out an interest form and were told we would get a call back. After a few weeks and another follow-up visit to the store, we still didnt get a call (and never did, months later). A friend said that each Petco training is different, and that this (15-501) location seemed to have a more organized system, so we came here, even though its a little further from our home. The sales associate was able to show us a schedule, give us all the details, and register us for classes THAT DAY. None of the "well call you back" junk. Our dog is finishing up his first set of classes at the 15-501 location and were VERY happy with the trainer (Lisa). She got our dog to do things we didnt think he would. She is knowledgeable (especially about breed-specific traits/nuances), friendly and really helpful. She seems to draw on experience of training dogs of different types, and not repeating just textbook stuff. She just seems like one of those people that genuinely loves dogs. My dog gets excited when he realizes hes at Petco for training, and not just shopping. Basically, were actually happy the person at the Southpoint location never called us back. I would recommend Lisa at the 15-501 location to anyone looking to have a better behaved dog.

I needed to build an aquarium, and after a bunch of years my memories on exactly what I needed were rusty. After consulting the internet, I came in with a basic idea of what I wanted, and the PetCo staff helped me fill in the cracks. Their fish guys were very friendly, you just have to watch out because a couple of other customers can mean you need to wait a fair amount to have any questions answered. Its probably a good thing that there are typically other customers - it means its a good aquarium stop - you just cant be in a rush if you dont know exactly what you want or need help because youre buying actual fish.

I was looking for a kennel and the staff were very helpful. They took kennels off the shelf, cut off the zip ties, let my dog go inside and check them out. Even got on a ladder and measured some for me. When I ended up leaving to check other stores for a better price or features, I forgot my tape measure. Three days later I came back, they remembered me, and they had my tape measure safely in a drawer behind the register. Would be better if they had a larger selection of kennels, including some large ones with all four sides of ventilation so that they are airline approved, but thats only a little thing.

I went in around 7:50pm 9/14/17 to get some treats from their little "snack bar" for dogs. Outside of not having much to choose from, I got checked out by Scott. Well, Scott needs another job PREFERABLY NOTHING dealing with customer service. Horrible attitude for whatever reason. His whole demeanor was "ugh". He acted as if he had an issue with me or maybe hes just one of those tools that has an issue with the world. Whatever. But if you dont like your job, its simple dude: QUIT. For this reason alone I will just go to the brier creek location for what I need.

Ive been taking my dog here to be groomed for years and am always happy with the results. The prices are very reasonable! The grooming salon manager, Suzanne, is so gentle and loving with my furbaby. Another groomer whos been there for a while, Bill, is equally gentle and loving. Actually, all of the staff in the grooming salon is fantastic! My dog is older and mostly blind, but I know that hes in good hands here. I definitely recommend the grooming salon!

Worst store ever! Literally stood around for 20 minutes waiting for someone to assist me, ended up walking out due no service. I dont think its the employees so much the store being under staffed. This is the second time this has happened at this particular location.

The worst experience ever. If I could give them negative 5 stars I would. Took our yorkie in for a haircut and those inexperienced "groomers" basically shaved him bare. I see you cant find good help anywhere. This is the first and last time Im going.

wasted about 15min there this afternoon trying to get someone to wait on me (unsuccessfully). I try to support local businesses (even the big box stores) but its not woth the inconvenience to go and be ignored. Im going to start buying my fish online

Friendly and helpful staff ,my daughter got her first pet, a RAT named Ziggy, the guy have her tips and papers on how to care for him and he lived forever! Great place for all your pets needs! Free parking and wheel chair accessible

The last time I was in this location, one koi fish was laying on the bottom while the other ones bit at it. All of the other fish had ick. The absolute worst petco Ive been to.

Ive only been here to shop for my dog and for fish. There fish are way better the Petsmark fish. More clean and actually have fins and are alive. Staff is really friendly.
