Matthews Help Center you all terrorized my child and I after seeking help for a fire that burned my house to the ground.The social worker threaten to call DSS on me because I would not let my children go to school with no clothing.The manager didnt even have respect to call me back.The social worker also made a comment "We dont accept government funds and we dont have to help your kind" meaning BLACK people.Please dont give a dime to this racist place.I will keep writing to let the public know what you did to my children and I .You can take it down but I will keep reposting it,cause its the TRUTH. I should have recorded her actions on my cell phone and sent it to the Channel 3 WBTV News. A video is worth more than a thousand words. The Public need to see this social worker acting out, using demeaning language, and my child crying outside.

Matthews Help Center was a blessing from above. My case worker Kelly and the front desk receptionist Ms.Beverly went above and beyond for me and my children. I was on the verge of homelessness and had given up hope but they reminded me to stay encouraged and gave me the strength to fight and keep going. In response to the previous post I myself and my children are all African-American and we were treated with nothing but love,diginity and respect. I have sought help at other organizations but no one has treated me as well or as humanely as Matthews Help Center. Thank You all from the bottom of my heart.

Great Place to find some unique clothes, bags, home decor and fabric. Its good to know that the money you spend goes directly to help families in the Matthews area. Thrift Shop is always changing and has special deal days. Check it out!

Something for everyone - unique and interesting finds and fabulous prices. They even have flowers from Trader Joes and day old breads and goods from grocery stores. And they make contributing items very easy as well.

Well managed store with an large amount of stuff shoved into a tiny space - unlike similar stores, old inventory is regularly removed so you arent sorting through the same undesirable items time after time.

Great place to find baby and childrens items, especially clothes. Grandparents can really benefit, too, when buying baby/kid items for your home as well as for grandkids.
