I had wasted almost 3 days in this home depot to order my blinds and ended up cancelling it after had a worst experience and poor customer service, specifically from a person called Andrew (Department Head). He couldnt even understand my questions / concerns and not even ready to listen. Basically first i went to the store on Feb 22nd to request for a Blind measurement. On 26th the measurement was done. I went on the same night to order my blinds. The associate (Donna) ask me to wait for 10 minutes, ended up waiting for 1.5 hrs still she was busy with so many other tasks (looks likey the store doesnt employ many associates) and I left after wasting my 1.5 hrs for nothing. The associate called me back and apologize about the delay. So i went again after couple of days. After waiting 30 mins..repeated itercom request to get some one to assist on the blinds section ..finally i found myself an associate (Gary), he tried to help..but coudnt locate my blinds measurements and thought it may be missing.. so from that time i decided not to waste my time again..so decided to cancel and request for a manager assistance.. Andrew (Manager) came in and he is not at all ready to listen my questions / concerns (seems he was in a rush) and ended up cancel and get the refund for the amount i have paid for the measurement. Overall it was really a bad experience, specifically in this south plainfield branch..I never had any issues with all other home depot stores, i have been going for the past 10 years.

Buyer be aware! Yesterday I went and bought an Air conditioner. So I picked up a LG 8000 BTU AC unit from THIS home depot store near my house (South Plainfield). At first appearance, the box is nicely packed and I did not suspect a thing. When I got home and open it. Everything is nicely packed. However when I look inside the AC Unit. This Unit has been used and heavily damaged. I see big water stain inside the bottom of the AC Unit, and I see the bolts on the bottom already rusty. I paid full price for what I think is a brand new unit. The way it was so nicely packed make me think that Home Depot just got a return for the used unit, and packaged up nicely to appear brand new. Normally, people would not look inside the AC Unit as careful as I was. So they can sell it like new and nobody noticed. I dont know whether is just this particular store, or homedepot in general. That totally destroyed the confidence I used to have in home depot, where I already spent a lot of money in the store for my house needs. Maybe I will go to Loews instead. Its totally unacceptable to for home depot to deceit customer like that. It looks like unit was returned with a lot of water stain all over, somebody wipe it down very well, except that they could not get inside the AC unit to clean it all up. They packaged it nicely and try to sell it as a new item with full price. So I wasted a whole day and have to return it.

Get rid of ACS as your installer. Take a look at their reviews, the lowest Ive seen for carpet installers - poor service, poor quality. I came in to buy 72hr carpet. They got me in exactly 72hrs. I scheduled Mon off and had appointments set for a Tue morning open house. Then I get a call from ACS on Sat morning that they didnt get my carpet and need to cancel my appointment. The ACS rep said shell find out whats going on with my carpet and call me back. I never got the call back. I called Home Depot and ACS back. ACS office was closed. Home Depot rep never called me back, saying she would find out the status of my carpet. Sunday I called THD, best they could do was say the carpet was due in the Wed before.. WTF? Called Mon morning to THD, ACS cancelled my appointment and has no idea when my carpet is coming in. Ultimately I cancelled the order - over 72hrs and scheduled open house appointments. The only positive note: Mr Levine is outstanding and is the only person who knows how this department works. He calls you back and follows up, even when not requested! Best person, Ive worked with in a while. Unfortunately, ACS couldnt deliver the rest.

Horrible store! For one - DO NOT go there for custom blinds. They are absolutely illiterate when it comes to this. We as customers look to the people ordering our blinds for guidance. Not only did we order for our entire house - but we paid for it all upfront - only to have 75% of the order totally messed up or delayed. Our first order (which took us over 2 hours to place even though we knew what we wanted) was messed up so badly into the system that we had to go again and work for 2 hours with ANOTHER staff member who "knew what they were doing". Ultimately blinds were not ordered correctly at all. The worst part is that Home Depot does not care at all for the inconveniences they have caused. it was their error and they just keep making excuses and refusing (or avoiding) the resimbursement issue. I will NEVER use Home Depot again - and I will steer clear and warn others to steer clear of this location. I gave this place 2 stars instead of 1 because there are people in this store that know what they are doing - very few.

It only seems when I do need help at Home Depot nobody asks me, but when I know exactly what I want and Im just making a selection between two particular items theyre always bugging me can I help you sir can I help you sir..haha.. just ironic I guess although when I did ask the sales associate for help she was very pleasant and directed me right where I needed to go. In general I found everything I needed and the staff was very pleasant including the cashier who checked me out so Home Depot in South Plainfield is a good place to shop if youre looking for hardware for your home use or commercial use

Best store bar none! Continue to be surprised at the Excellent level of customer service at this store, they are helpful, friendly to me and my family, ive even written to head office praising these guys a couple of years ago. take competitor coupons no questions asked. Great. Always find what i want, no hassles. wish every store could be like this, i cant even remember the last time i went to Lowes!! (i work in finance so not affiliated to any of these stores at all.)

Most of the people who worked there were really helpful, they were not reluctant to answer the the question I asked at all. I dont know which guy the reviewer on the bottom was talking to, but the guy that I was talking with wasnt rude at all and was trying very hard to find the right size of wood that I was looking for. Everyone I talked to was really helpful.

Greeted at the door, a worker asked if I needed assistance, which I did and he helped me find what I needed. At self check out I saw there was no bar code on the item and a worker at the self check out quickly assisted me by going to the product aisle and scanning the few into his device. What could have been a long hour was only 20 minutes. Great!
