Good selection, prices reasonable. Good for those tired of IKEA. Staff was very friendly. BUT BEWARE; mistakes are possible and not always easily rectified. We purchased a 5 desk, took it home boxed. ready to assemble and then noticed, that it could not possibly be 5 as the box was only 4. I realized through a handout they gave me on the furniture line that the pick up slip had the wrong code/price. The desk we wanted was 50$ less! There is a 5 day limit in which they accept complaints, which they verified. So if you only have weekends to shop, its difficult. They offered a 50$ store credit, which was agreeable of me to accept as I had not wanted the more expensive product in the first place. WE WILL PURCHASE FROM THEM AGAIN.. But, I would never, NEVER not take something that is not in STOCK, nor have it finished by them, or delivered by them or ask them to do anything that makes the purchase more complicated. Check and double check everything twice. On our second purchased they graciously waved the 22$ assembly fee. I will be using them again for our mud room.

We had visited 3 major furniture retailers earlier yesterday but my husband and I specifically chose the Brick Blvd location in an effort to support the businesses at the shore because of the storm. I would NOT recommend the GELCO store under any circumstances. After working with a friendly and knowledgable saleswoman, we proceeded to the payment area. We inquired about Saturday delivery and the saleswoman told us there is NO Saturday delivery but she would try her best to make some accommodations. The man who called himself the manager - but refused to give his name then told us "Well, go shop somewhere else." He (later learned his name is CARLOS) proceeded to point his finger in my husbands chest and call me a "Bi..." twice! Can you imagine any manager in the retail business EVER cursing a customer and telling them to shop elsewhere? We previously enjoyed shopping and buying from the original Seaside Furniture but this experience has crossed Gelco off my list. I am sure to tell my friends as well. And because of CARLOS, the lovely saleswoman lost her commission.

I recently purchased my living room sofas and kitchen table from Gelco Furniture in Toms River. The staff was excellent! Lara was not only exceptionally knowledgeable about the items on the floor but she knew almost every catalog item they had to offer. The store was filled with so many options, but we were able to find exactly what we were looking for - great quality furniture that will last a lifetime and a wonderful experience. I will always recommend my family and friends to Gelco - and there are a few locations!!! They have everything you could possibly want - and if they don’t, they are willing to get it! I have never had such great one on one service - usually I dread going furniture shopping because I feel pressured into buying something - but not here! It was easy and hassle free! What a great experience. Also, the delivery was quick - originally the sofas didn’t seem like they would make it through the doors, but the delivery men were able to make it work and the living room/dining room look WONDERFUL!! Could not be happier with everything!! thanks so much!!!

I was very excited to get some real wood furniture in my home. I was done with particle board. I bought 2 large bookshelves and a corner entertainment unit. First off, we had to wait 6 weeks when the salesperson told us the bookshelves would be 3 and the tv stand could be as little as 3 days. Obviously she noted my "get it now" attitude and changed her sales pitch to accomodate. 6 weeks later the bookshelves arrive. 2 weeks after that, the mangled piece of wood I could only hope to describe as an entertainment center came. Molding was nailed in at an almost 20 degree angle, bottom, top and shelves are almost 1/2 inch out of level with the front face. Cracks in the front and a back held together by tape and glue. So much for quality craftsmanship. Gelco should be embarrased to send out this piece. I drive 130 miles to get this furniture and all the could do was make me wait another month for a new one. No offer for delivery or take 20 bucks off the price for my gas and tolls. Thanks alot for nothing gelco. The pine at walmart will be a better option

IGNORE THIS POST - I HAVE MADE PEACE WITH LARA & GELCO! POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS - BUYERS BEWARE! We ordered a dining set, which after 5 months, the wood top started to split. Gelco reordered another set. Replacement received and after 1 week, wood edging started cracking. Gelco "permitted" us to select another product. 3rd set delivered two days ago. Delivery personnel dismantled set #2, put it on the truck and proceeded to assemble set #3 which upon inspection found defects in the wooden top. I rejected the shipment with a notation on the delivery slip that I demanded a refund. Lara acccused us of being "picky" and would not give us a refund. So bottom line, both replacements #2 & #3 were taken back and Gelco is sitting with my $3,178.44 and I am sitting on the floor. I have it on good authority that this is standard operating procedure for Gelco, wear the customer down and sooner or later they will go away. Im not going away!

Do not discount the bad reviews you see here regarding delivery, nasty employees, and lying to their customers. After being told that a custom piece of furniture would arrive 4-6 weeks, then 8 weeks, now 12 weeks later it is still nowhere. I was told it was finally in on a Wednesday, and that it would be shipped Friday or no later than Monday, and here it is a week later and still no confirmation of being shipped. The people lie repeatedly, tell you that the person who knows the whereabouts of your piece is not in, they promise to call and dont, and refuse to acknowledge the fact that they havent been honest all along. You pay up front, and if you want to cancel the order so you can go buy something elsewhere you are told you only get store credit so you are stuck! Maybe if you see the product finished or unfinished in the store and walk out with it you could have a different experience. Buyers Beware.

If there wwere minus stars that what this store would receive. I ordered a bed and a night stand on January 2, 2017. Today, it is March 10, 2017 and they are not deliver yet. The sales person Karen said it will be delivered 4-6 weeks, after 6 weeks it became 6-8 weeks. Every time I call the items are in transit. If you have months to wait and you dont want to know when your furniture will arrive this is the perfect store to shop. Stores like Gelco give small businesses a bad name!. These are the reasons why people purchase from corporate of America. This kind of non sense would not take place there. STAY AWA YFROM THESE PEOPLE!

These people have the worst customer service ever. Every time I call I get the run around and I am told that they have no idea when my furniture will arrive and they are very rude. I have been waiting since May for my furniture that is already PAID IN FULL!!!! BUYER BEWARE there contract / invoice states that they dont have to deliver for 16 weeks!! Even though I was told in the store verbally by the salesperson that it would only take 12 weeks. So sick of dealing with these people.
