Had the experience of being profiled as a younger Spanish looking kid who could not afford their furniture. Maybe I should have walked in there with my nursing scrubs to be taken seriously. Needless to say I had the experience of the sales lady telling me, "If you have a couch in mind dont waste my time so I can just price match that as well" needless to say I just walked in the store and havent even asked her about a couch yet and was specific with which bedroom set I wanted to buy. She had to ask me three times if I knew which couch I wanted to buy and three times I told her no I dont have anything in mind could you help me find a matching couch that you have in stock. She then went on to say no we have couches online and they dont have couches in the store. I asked her for a suede couch and she acted like I could not afford that either. After explaining to her three times that I wanted to see if they had a couch I could see in the store she finally showed me around the store in a very rushed manner. At the end of the day I will not waste your time and will go back to value city furniture in manahawkin. At least there i was treated with respect, and actually talked to like a regular client not a child for some lady to yell at. I never knew I could waste someones time if I was only in the store for 10 minutes ready to buy over 3k dollars of furniture. If I told my critical patients not to waste my time with their needs, Im sure my manager who witnessed their sales person not to waste their time would have directly intervened and addressed that poorly handled sale. Thank you as well to the male manager too who sat 10 feet away from me on the couch with another lady associate and watched his employee tell his coustomer not to waste their time. Dont waste your time here buy from value city furniture in manahawkin. Theyre are not associated with this store so their customer service is alot better, and treat you right if your younger and Spanish looking.

Not a good experience at all. I purchased a living room and dining room set on July 5th. Today is September 9th and I still do not have all of my pieces. I was promised all of the items in one delivery. Then they showed up with only the dining room set and one living room chair and accent table. Delivery person tried to place the accent table in a way where I wouldnt notice the cracked leg. The accent table was then sent back and I was told that I would have another one right away. I waited at least another 3 weeks for the replacement accent table and the rest of my living room set. The delivery date finally arrives and they show up couch and accent table but this time without my coffee table claiming that it was damaged loading it on the truck. So I have been waiting another month for my coffee table. Two months and I still do not have all my pieces. Manager never calls back when promised. I will never purchase anything from this store again. I would suggest you do the same...as they do not honor their promises and have many excuses! They will promise you the world in the store at time of purchase, and then basically ignore you and lie when it comes to delivering what you purchased. Bad business. Very bad customer service. Stay far away from this place. Not sure what the problem is with their business model, but it is not working. They need serious help in delivering on what they sell. Something is very broken with this company. I never complain, but this company really deserves a bad review. Sorry...but this is my honest experience with this store. I am not happy at all with my experience.

Dealing with the Toms River store was a nightmare. They are super disorganized. We ordered a bedroom set from them and we were told that they only deliver to our county on certain days of the week. They would not offer us a weekend delivery date anywhere in the foreseeable future, so although this was inconvenient, my husband had to take the day off work. Ultimately they offered us a delivery date (that they chose, not us) that was a few weeks out. The night before the scheduled delivery, we got a call from some high-up manager at Ashley telling us that we never should have been scheduled for this date and that our delivery would not be coming the following day. Livid that my husband now wasted a vacation day for no reason, we called and demanded a credit to our account. They offered us a $200 credit (the total bedroom set was about $2100) but said that we could not receive this credit until after the set was delivered. Fine. It is now several weeks later and despite numerous phone calls to their Inventory Manager who has been working with us, we still have no credit. I would also like to point out that through all of this, no one from the Toms River store ever contacted us, followed up, or apologized. I like Ashley products, but I will not go to the Toms River store and any of the stores associated with this store (I think theres 3) next time I buy furniture from them. Definitely disappointed.

We have had nothing but a good experience with Ashley Furniture in Toms River. Our daughter, who lives in another state, has bought all her furniture for her home from Ashley Furniture and we were very happy a while ago when we heard they were coming to Toms River. We have bought a beautiful kitchen set, a loveseat and chair for our living room and a beautiful new bed with a tempurpedic mattress for our home. Peter is a mattress specialist-he made sure we knew the pros and cons of buying all the choices of beds in the store. He has had years of experience selling beds and it really helped us make the right decision. Shawn, the assistant manager provided the ultimate in customer service to us on many levels. We have not had that kind of treatment from any store in a very long time and were totally impressed. We have nothing but the highest compliments to the quality of furniture in the store, the very fair prices and most of all the professionalism and knowledge of Peter and Shawn. We will be back!

This place is super disorganized. I purchased a couch from toms river ashley furniture I was promised next week delivery after taking a day off work received a call the night before delivery my couch came "damaged" and would not be delivered as promised. Upon reorder and another scheduled delivery date as well as day taken off work again the couch came once again with a "damaged" piece so now over 2 weeks out have some pieces of my couch but being a sectional not the complete couch and a gap in my living room im extremely disappointed after multiple phone calls and no return call from management Im super upset and would not make another purchase from them. Hoping to receive the last pieces soon.

I was in the store on Thursday with my fiancée and was greeted by Stephanie. She was a pleasure to deal with, not pushy very positive and down to earth. We had no intentions of purchasing anything that night because we are not closed on our home yet, but speaking with her and she explained we can still get the offers that were going on now and have the furniture on hold until we close in a month and receive the 72 months with no interest we were very interested, so we got a couch, entire king bedroom set and a tv stand, and possibly adding more to the order. I want to thank Stephanie again and looking forward to dealing with her again!
