Update 10/17/2013 I had left a message for service to call me, since they were too busy to come to the phone, and they never called back. So I got the brakes done at an independent auto shop that was highly recommended, for much less money and they also said that the brake fluid flush that Subaru Newton had recommended was completely unnecessary - the car is only a 2010 and the fluid was fine when they checked it. So, guess where Ill be going from now on. Too bad since I was initially impressed with this place. I guess things change. Update stopped in again today to get some things checked. I was at 4,000 since the last oil change and said twice i didnt want it, but got it pushed on me because I was "over". Standard advice is that with modern cars you really dont need it every 3,000 like we were always told, more like 5,000. I had to work while I was waiting and brought my laptop since they advertise having wifi, but their wifi router was not working right (not accepting new connections). I asked the guy at the service desk to check into it or turn the router on/off and he mumbled something and just sat there. A while later I asked again and he looked at his phone and said he was connected fine, and I explained again it was not accepting *new* connections and he continued talking to a blonde that walked in and didnt do anything. They came back and said I needed over $400 in brake work (front brakes, I had the rear done last time) and I said I couldnt stay because I couldnt get any work done, so that simple thing cost them, Ill probably get the brakes done elsewhere, the price seemed high. He asked me on the way out if I figured out the "internet problem". Ah, I was asking for *his* help with that! All he had to do was ask someone to turn the router off and on as we do in our homes often when theres some problem. I asked them to see if my tires needed to be rotated when I came in, and they never did tell me if they needed it or they did it.. Im pretty sure it wasnt working last time I was there either. I called back later to ask a question about the brakes and nobody was around to answer. Stopped in to get my car checked out because the brakes felt like they were getting worn, needed brakes, trans serviced, some filters. They gave me a nice new 2014 Forester loaner and said dont worry how far I drive it, just fill it back up. Staff were all very nice to me and my dog. Much better than the Hackettstown Subaru, who tried to charge me an exorbitant amount for a routine service by tacking on a lot of extras without consulting me first, so I dont go there any more.

I ordered my WRX on July 8th, 2015. I was told the vehicle would take no longer than 8 weeks to come in. Exactly on the 8th week, I got a phone call from a salesman telling me that my car was built and being delivered. I then found out that he called me by mistake, and that my car had not even started to be built yet. Weeks go by and I called to see how the progress was, I was told that the car was built and that itll be in soon. On 10/19/15, approximately 14 weeks since I ordered my car, I was told my vehicle came in. I was told my trade in vehicles value depreciated $1,000 because the 2016s of that vehicle are out now. I could not understand how this was my fault? They could not help me understand this either. Apparently, when they give you a value on your car, in writing, they like to then give you less when your new car arrives. Its funny because if the WRX I ordered came in the time that they told me it would, there would not have been an issue with the pricing. This is the best part: I was told by my salesman that they would meet me halfway, and only depreciate the vehicle by $500. I asked to speak to Eric, the man who originally told me my trade in value 14 weeks ago. Eric told me they cant go anymore than $500 less than what they told originally told me. I said fine Ill go for it (only because of how much I wanted this WRX). The Finance Manager then comes over and offers me the trade in of $1,000 under what they originally told me! I was confused as my salesman and the sale manager said theyd meet me halfway? Weird, I know! I asked Eric "I thought you just told me youd meet me halfway?" and he was lost for words. Its pretty funny how these guys are. Its sad that I put my trust in this dealership just to get scammed in the end. I love the car, its all I could ask for. I couldnt wait to write a review on how happy I was with this dealer and vehicle when I picked it up, but things changed when they couldnt keep their word on a value I have in writing. If you are ordering a car, do not buy from this dealership. The vehicle will take twice as long as they say, and they wont consider following common customer service by keeping their word on the value of the car you are trading in.

My husband and I were looking for a used vehicle for our 17 year old daughter. We looked at several dealerships around the Hackettstown/Newton area and couldnt find anything we liked. Online, we found what we wanted and Subaru World of Newton arranged for the car to be delivered the next day to their location. It was Frank Angelillo who arranged for the car to be delivered and he immediately had the vehicle cleaned and ready for our early arrival to view our potential purchase. Frank was extremely personable and his low keyed approach was extremely refreshing. I have dealt with many sales people over the years in the car business and I found him to be a "gem." He presented himself as an honest individual working for you to get the best possible deal. While, arranging for this purchase for my daughter, I had the opportunity to wander around and look at the Subaru lines of cars. I most most impressed with these vehicles and again, Frank was extremely knowledgeable and professional. Because of this experience, my husband and I would definitely consider purchasing a Subaru from this dealership and specifically from Frank. His friendly demeanour and low keyed approach made our purchasing experience great. There was no hassling over the price or high pressure sales. The sales manager, Christopher J. Adams runs a great dealership. Everyone in this facility is friendly and outgoing. Well worth the trip if you are in the market for a new or used vehicle.

F- for the mechanics: I am a car guy. I do most of my own work and was reminded why after going here. Brought the car in 3 times to fix a leaking air conditioning. During the process, they replaced the condenser and compressor and performed an airbag recall. They also managed to damage: -Both side skirts (missed jack points and now have 2 dents on each). They apologized when I pointed this out…that was helpful -Broke numerous connectors in engine bay and left them -Broke bolts, and left them like that -left interior trim pieces not attached -Failed to screw in a temperature sensor which was left dangling, this required me to pull my dash apart to fix once I realized my climate control was not working. This would have taken two seconds to do right. -left negative battery terminal loose -scratched up interior panels The kicker is that after all of this, and replacing the most expensive parts of the AC. It was still leaking. I took it to a local mechanic, who cares about his work. He discovered that they had used o-rings meant for oil in my ac system and was shocked when I told him that the dealership did this. Moral of the story is you never know what mechanic you will get when going here, and they are not doing a good job of weeding out bad mechanics. Beware
