I recently purchased a used VW at J&S. I dealt with Melvin. Id like to say that everything went well up until the minute I arrived. I had agreed to purchase before every getting to the dealership. The saleman knew I was coming in to pick up this VW. The car was not even cleaned. As per our conversation as part of the deal, I requested the tires be replace(at my cost). They were not, I was told after the paperwork was completed I would take the car myself to a tire dealer down the street and wait for them to be put on. I was a little annoyed but I had driven almost 3 hours to get to the dealer and I didnt want to leave because of something trivial. I took the car out for a test drive and within the first min I could tell that the car had been sitting for quite some time. The rotors were so warped that the car physically shook under heavy braking. Everything else on the car was good and it was a decent price on the car so when I returned from the test drive I told the salesman about it. He said that it would be taken care of when I went to the tire place to get the new tires. So I said ok, trusting his word. I then sat with the finance manager. I then learned that what I was told prior to coming to the dealership by the salesperson, wasnt true. I had been approved by my local bank at a specific interest rate. Melvin told me that his banks would match the rate. So again I trusted him when I drove almost 3 hours down to pick up the car... Now that I was down there, the rate was 3 points higher. Not the same as we agreed. The finance manager worked out a reasonable deal for me and I decided to just go with it. It just got worse from there. I took the car without doing the tires with them(since I was paying for them) or the brakes. Melvin told me to just have the brakes machined and hed reimburse me the cost. The terrifying drive home(over 200 miles) revealed that the brakes were more that just a little warped. I took it to my local shop to have the rotors machined but the rotors and pads needed to be replaced. I told Melvin this before I did the work and he told me to send me a copy of the bill and hed reimburse me. The total cost for the Rotors was under $100(I told him Id pay for the pads since the agreement was for the rotors being fixed) I never asked them to do anything more that that. Its been 2 months and Ive received nothing. Basically he told me that his boss is being a jerk and wont pay for the rotors. Being a salesman, I thought Id at least get straight forward treatment. If he is willing to flat out lie to someone whos in the business, I cant even imagine what hell do to someone who doesnt know better. After fixing the few small things on my car, I really like it but I should have found a different one somewhere else. This guy is the proving point of why no one trusts a salesman. I realize that there is really nothing I can do about except post my experience and hope it keeps people from being mistreated.

Buying my first BMW here was a thrilling experience. All their cars I saw (mostly bmws) were bought directly at a BMW dealers auction or dealership. New cars or other cars that with low miles are still under BMW maintenance and new car warranty. I bought a 328xi here ( had it checked at BMW princeton and they gave a go). Take it back to princeton for an oil change 3 weeks later and they give me a list of issues. I took it back to the dealer. Rami my sales man worked with me patiently. These issues were not on the car fax, and was not spotted by J&S so they took complete responsibility to replace the car. The owner John, he can be a little intimidating but an honest business man, he made sure my money spent on tax, tags and registration was transferred to the new car. So I drove out yesterday from J&S with a 2011 335xi coupe , and all I had to pay was the difference of value of the car and the difference in tax. To be honest I thought i was doomed but Rami made sure I was taken care of. Tim is the finance in charge. He made sure I lost 0$ on this whole transaction and also knowledgeable on car insurance issues. Tip - DO your homework on the car you are going to buy. Dont trust the carfax, always have the cars checked by the official dealer ( Rami will do it for u) But doing business with them, you car be sure they will keep their word on the condition of the car. if it does not match what they say, they will do their best to make it up to you.

these people will do anything to make a sale. they will lie and say that theyll fix something and have it ready for you when you pick the car up (which it wont), theyll tell you there is nothing wrong with the car (which there is) even though the check engine light is on in the car, etc. also, god forbid you have a problem with the car while it is still under their warranty. they didnt do anything for me, and told me that nothing was wrong with it; i told them id like a diagnostic done at a Honda dealership since they obviously dont know how to fix the car. They said they wouldnt pay for that. I took it to Honda myself, and the car was fixed for 150 dollars, but apparently that was too much for the good people at J&S. Finally, they will frequently speak arabic around you, thinking that you cannot understand what theyre saying. Since I actually can, it is amazing the things they will say about attractive women in the showroom (very inappropriate), their opinion of the cars theyre selling (mostly negative), and their opinion of you, the customer (one man referred to me constantly as the smartass). i guess he just didnt appreciate me trying to get a car that they sold me fixed while it was still under warranty. seriously, dont go here and i would give it zero stars if i could.

After reading some negative reviews, I feel I should chime in with my experience which was not really all that bad. I purchased an off lease 2006 Audi A6 from them last year and the car has honestly been fantastic with ZERO problems. The salesman was a nice guy but clueless. I knew more about the car than he did. I knew the asking price was right as I did my homework. They even came down a few hundred more dollars. I had a trade that they took with a very strong price. The only bad thing I have to say is that the office is a dump and is the typical used car type of place. At first I was bit uncomfortable with the setup, but figured I was only there to buy a car and not moving in. I have had the car for just over a year and have put on 15,000 trouble free miles. I would not hesitate to buy here again.
