Is the car business booming in 2015 that Salespeople can afford to not work for a new customers business? The Salesperson perception is right on the money at this dealership. I am in-market to trade in my 2013 Toyota Corolla; its just too small. I walk into the dealership, the front desk receptionist was very pleasant. She immediately got a Sales person to help me. Out walks Colby. He introduces himself, and stands there. My gut tells me this guy, who just gave me the once over will not work to get me a car, but, Im an optimist. After standing there just smiling at me, I ask, are we going to chat in the showroom? I guess, I am a bit private and my preference would be an office. We talk about my needs for a certified used car. I only came in, to understand options as I find the car buying process usually long and tedious, people milling around, useless introductions to owners, and other staff members, who technically do not care and are only interested in the sale. After our discussion, Colby said, he would call the next day. Next day, no call all morning. As I am very interested in getting a Volvo, I called before noon. Oh right, yes. I have your paperwork right here. Ill call you around 1 pm. I get the call later around 4 pm to be told, sorry but we cannot help with your new certified car. Reason being, my car is valued too low, no down payment, and the bank would not approve. Its just too much of a risk with the equity. No options, no let me see if instead of a 2013 used, I get you into a similar 2012 or 2011, nothing. I felt the call was more of a let me wash my hands of this deal. Keep in mind, Ive had three cars before, all with no money down, a 2005 leased Volkswagon, a purchased 2010 Volkswagon, and my current 2013 Toyota Corolla. All the other Salepeople who worked on those deals, really worked, as in provided several options to ensure I walked out of their showroom with a car. With that, I will be taking my car buying business elsewhere. All in all, as I mentioned above, my gut told me he would not work for my business. My gut was right. Bad experience, laissez faire salesmanship. Mortified! UPDATE: Went to BMW, they were able to roll my negative equity on my 2013 Toyota into a floor model BMW, yes, my monthly payment went up by $135 but it is worth it as the Salesperson, really worked with me to understand my needs to trade in my 2013 car. All I can say is a Salesperson is a closer, and Colby is not a closer. Maybe if I were a white male, he would have made more of an effort. Not a single thought about a Volvo as I drive my new 2015 BMW.

My wife and I found Princeton Volvo an extremely pleasant and accomodating organization to transact business with. To begin with the receptionist at the front desk greeted us and immediately helped us to feel very welcomed. Our salesperson, Colby, was very warm and friendly and knowlegdeable about the Volvo products. After test driving an S40, we decided it was too small and we wanted to drive a pre-owned S80, which was at the Bridgewater store. Colby graciously arranged to have the S80 driven down to Princeton so we could test drive it here and not have to travel, all in the same day! We loved the S80 and wanted to buy it, but we asked if a few odds and ends could be remedied before we did so. Colby immediated answered all of our questions and agreed to resolve our concerns. He did an excellent job at helpng us out of our leased vehicle and into the lovely pre-owned S80. Dan Graff was our finance guy. He did a superb job at explaining the rate we could expect to get on the car and was extremely clear and methodical when discussing our options as far as down payment, the different terms and length of the payment period, and the options available to purchase with the car. Dan's patience and clarity was especially important to my wife and I since, as we both are school teachers, we are not particularly well versed in the field of finance. After speaking with Dan we both felt very confident in our decision to purchase the Volvo and we were at very much at ease with the financing of the vehicle. Dan was even able to secure for us an interest rate better than he had committed to! In short, both my wife and I felt like we were treated like royalty at Princeton Volvo, from our initial greeting by the lovely front desk woman to the wonderful sales experience with Colby, to the financial discussions and buying process which Dan so eloquently made crystal clear to us. Thank you Princeton Volvo!

I am in Syracuse. The reason I go here to buy is cheap. I buy the 2015.5 xc60 T5 platinum. The price is good. Service is good. Everything is good. But, I also have some opinion of the seller. This is not the only dealer that I contacted with. Before this, I contacted to another dealer. I want to go that dealer on Wednesday. But, he informed me that day would had a snow storm. So, I went to the Volvo of Princeton. Unfortunately, I met the snow storm. I think the seller could tell me that there also would be a snow storm. Thus, I can went there other day. But, He did not. My three friends and I just drive MUSTANG in the snow storm came. That is really a horrible exprince. After all thing finished, my car insurance had some problem. They said they could not fax the insurance to Princeton. I had to back. OH, that is crazy. So, the seller helped me to changed a insurance company. Whats more, the price of this company is lower than the first one. So happy! :) Finally, I hope the seller can more concern about the weather. That will save the costumers time. More important! There life!

We bought a used car from the dealership with 103K miles on it. They made tons of promises that everything that needed taken care of on the car would be done. It was not. They upsold us a powertrain warranty for $3K claiming all the timing belt would be covered. We told them this was our biggest concern, as we had a prior car have it fail prior to warranty expiration. We have had the car for 1 1/2 years now. We now find out that the recommend replacing the timing belt at a cost of close to $1K. That it is also not covered by the warranty. We are then told that the scheduled maintenance for a timing belt is 105K. The dealership essentially sold us a car with an expired timing belt. Upsold us a $3K warrantly under the guise that when the belt would need replaced, it would be covered, and now wont do anything for us. Good bye Volvo of Princeton, I will never by another volvo from you again. This place is just like a stereotypical used car dealership, except with luxury cars.

Our history with Volvo indicates we purchased three vehicles from Volvo of Princeton. A little more than five years ago, we strayed and purchased a vehicle from another manufacturer. Very recently, the new and exciting S90 model caught my eye. I returned to Volvo of Princeton and was welcomed back as a member of the family. New Car Sales, Sales Management and other members of the team greeted me as a long standing loyal customer. Nils Falk took on the assignment of introducing me to the S90 and its excellent features. He patiently answered my queries while Nick Long assessed my trade-in. Nils gave me the key to the S90 for a test drive under local and highway conditions in order to show the vehicles capabilities. My research for a new car was complete. Terrific automobile, great price and the Volvo of Princeton team all added up to exceed my expectations. I am a very delighted owner of a 2017 Volvo S90.
