I went into the showroom, with my father, to look around and Joe greeted us by one of the cars. I was not thrilled because I thought great here we go, someone else trying to sell me a new car. However, the experience I had with Joe was actually not scary at all. He got to know what I preferred and worked diligently to find me the perfect car. With all that being said, I was not the only person he had to win over, and I am not an easy person to convince or sway. I am a triple business major so I thoroughly research investments before throwing down money. Joe had to convince my grandfather that German cars are worth investing into. My grandfather is a die-hard Chevy fan since he used to race them back in the late 60’s. Joe not only was able to answer all my grandfathers’ questions but he convinced my grandfather that Volkswagens are indeed a good investment. My grandfather looked me in the eyes and said good job when I went to see him later that week. My grandfather is not one to throw around “good jobs” so it meant a lot that Joe was instrumental in this process. Joe not only knows how to talk to young people but he also knows how to talk to all generations. This is key in sales and I applaud Joe for this. When working with Joe, I did not feel as though this was only business or money in his pocket. He made me feel important and as if he really cared. I am the kind of person that will walk if I do not feel valued and I was not tempted one time to do this. In fact, my grandfather before talking to Joe, told me I should look at Chevys and was not as willing to give me a loan if I did not shop around first. Joe is the kind of salesman that will gain clients trust and loyalty throughout the years. He does not make you feel as if he is trying to scam you, which is the thought that comes to mind when the average person thinks of buying a car. Joe is not the average salesman; he is credible, knowledgably, values others time, genuine, shows commitment, and listens to others needs and desires. If it was not for Joe, I may have bought a car from another dealership. I highly recommend Joe to those searching for a new car. He gets 5 stars in my book! I had been searching for the right car for months and finally stumbled upon a listing at World VW. I live roughly 2 hours away within PA so I I called and spoke with Kim to make sure that the car was on the lot and still available. She was super friendly and answered all of my questions. I made an apt for 2 days later to come and see the vehicle. Upon my arrival I walked the lot to find the car I was there to look at and was unable to find it. I walked in and was instantly greeted and introduced to Joseph. We talked a bit about why I was there and off he went to find the car. To my disappointment the car was not on the lot and I ended up waiting roughly an hour before I could even see the car. We made good use of the time though. I had my trade in appraised and we talked numbers. To my surprise we struck a deal immediately. Joseph was very knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. I never once felt pressured at any point. I looked the car over and took it for a drive. Everything checked out so I called my bank to arrange getting a check to pay for the car. I also called and had my insurance fax over the required forms. For the second time that day, I was surprised by Joseph. He said I could leave my down payment and drive the car home and mail in the bank check. He gave all of the paperwork over to Mark Mendez to finalize. Mark was also super easy to talk to and did not pressure me one bit. He explained that VW Credit was offering great rates and he was confident that he could come back with rate equal to half of what my own bank approved me at. I sized some forms and he ran them through VW. Sure enough the rate was half. We finished up the paperwork without issue and I was on my way in my new CPO Jetta GLI. Overall I had a great experience with the staff at World VW. They were always kind and cooperative and kept things professional. They were also willing to go the extra mile after the deal was done to help out with some accessories I wanted. I will be stopping there again in the future to purchase my next car.

I am very disappointed with my experience at World Volkswagen of Neptune. In May 2017, I went to World Volkswagen of Neptune, (which is 3 hours away) to purchase a certified VW as they advertised as being the best in selling certified dealer in NJ. Impressed with their selection I purchased a certified 2014 VW Jetta the very same day. I returned a week later to pick up the car, however I had issues with the car from the get go. I got into the car to drive home and put my GPS in and the power outlet was not working. After waiting a while the Sales Associate told me that the fuse was blown and I should go to a closer VW in my area as all the mechanics had gone home. In addition the Sales associate told me that he could not find the spare key for my certified VW and therefore I should go to my closest VW to get the key made. Then I should send the invoice to Neptune and they would pay me back. I drove home that day with a fuse blown and no spare key. 3 weeks later after I had taken my car home the AC stopped working! I finally changed the fuse myself and I recently went to a close by VW and was told that 1) they needed to keep my car to fix the AC however would not give me a loaner and 2) it would cost $299 to get the key ordered and programed which I was led to believe would cost me $50 maximum. I am very disappointed with VW of Neptune because 1) I now have to run around to get my Certified VW working in the condition a certified car should be working in 2) I have to think about paying $299 for a spare key, hopefully I will get reimbursed by Neptune as I called the Neptune Sales Associate but have not heard back 3)the AC does not work and in order to get it fixed I have to leave it at VW but how am I going to get to work without it costing me e.g. rental. This is meant to be a certified VW and if this is what World Volkswagen of Neptune calls certified then this is very disappointing in deed. I was really thinking about upgrading my fiancé’s car but this experience has made me think differently.

My fiance and I were in the market for a pre-owned truck. I called World VW to inquire about one in their lot. However, it was out of our reach... I told the sales man what exactly was looking for and he said they would call me... I honestly forgot I even spoke to them.. In just a few days I received a phone call from World VW and a very friendly voice informed me that they have a truck in their lot that fits us perfectly.. I made an appointment and came... I was greeted by my sales man Joseph G. Scarpino. I have to say he was the most friendliest and most informative person we have ever dealt with! He made us feel comfortable and at ease and totally felt like he was on "our side"... I told him about the nightmare that we had experience at an other dealer (toyota of lakewood) months ago and he assured us we were in great hands.. We told him exactly the number we needed to be at and our terms. He GOT THEM EXACTLY all with in 45 minutes of us being there. Once we signed and drove away with our beautiful truck, we noticed a couple of things that we were not happy with, I called our sales man, and he told us to turn right around and bring the truck back... We did... Not only did they fix everything we wanted addressed, the manager handed us the keys to a brand new VW with no questions asked... He apologized for the inconvenience, and we would be called as soon as the truck was fixed! Hands down, the best people, best dealer, best service you could ever ask for and will by far exceed your expectations. We will be returning in a couple of months to purchase a second vehicle. I HIGHLY recommend World VW for what ever New VW or Used car or Truck you might be in the market for! If they dont have it.... They will find it for you.. They surely did it for me.. Thank you Joseph G. Scarpino, Justin Simcox, and everyone else that helped us throughout our first time buying experience at World VW.
