I took my 2011 Chevrolet Camaro to Bennet Chevrolet to have my catalytic converter replaced. A few days later I smelled a very strong gasoline like smell inside my car. Worrying that it might be a leak I took it to a local repair shop. After examining my car they told me the dealership that replaced my catalytic converter was lazy and did not remove the sticker wrapped around the catalytic converter, instead relying on it to burn and melt off causing the vapors to go inside my car. Their negligence caused me to have to pay to get a diagnostic since they didnt even warn me about plastic and glue melting that they were too lazy to remove before installing the part. After being a customer for over a year, this same dealership treated me like garbage. After writing a very honest review, the sales manager had the audacity to twist my words to make himself look better. The bottom line is they refused to let me test drive the new 2017 Camaro, while my 2011 Camaro RS was being serviced in their shop. I was curious about the new Camaro and wanted to test drive it to see if it would be worth upgrading. If I liked it, I would get to know how much it cost, and then sell my current Camaro on my own and come back and purchase. However, according to the sales manager if you are not wanting to buy the same exact day then "you have no intention of buying a vehicle." He calls my interest in wanting to test drive the latest model of my current car just wanting a "joy ride". I personally do not consider test driving the same MAKE and MODEL Car a "JOY RIDE". I am obviously interested in the product if I have already purchased the same exact product in the past. I did not ask to drive a CORVETTE, as I have no intention of buying one. That would be a joy ride. I am interested in the latest 2017 CAMARO, it is something I will most likely buy in the near future, however, without test driving one I do not know if it is worth paying to upgrade, or if Ill even like it half as much as I love my current Camaro. I love my Camaro, it is my favorite car Ive ever owned and Ive owned a lot of sports cars. So no I did not come in to your dealership with the sole purpose of buying a car that day but that does not in anyway mean I am not interested in buying that car. Also, I could have easily lied and said I wanted to buy a car that day if I really wanted to test drive a certain car. However, I have integrity and I was NOT looking for a joy ride and find it insulting and disgusting that you implied I said that. Obviously, your dealership does not value me as a customer so you have lost my business.

DONT GO HERE, THEIR AFTER MARKET SERVICE SUCKS!!!! I would give a good rating if it was when I just brought this car. I thought I had a good deal, but turns out they were no different than any other dealers, who just want to sell you a car at any cost, but even worse is my dealer talked into buying this car because he scared me there is no other better deal and this car will be gone soon and made me put down a deposit, also their after market service sucks. After just a three days, my light had been give me a problem, so I went in for a fix, and ask them to change my window wiper with the ones that I brought myself. They were kind of nice about it, by it means, they were just saying okay without any smiles. Even though they fixed my light, but they never changed my window wiper which almost put me into a car accident they day after when there is a big storm. Now is nine month pass by, and my car need a oil change, which is free within one year after purchase, so I called and asked about their body shop, and the phone operator kept saying something about other place I should go. Even when I ask if my tired damage would be include in their warranty, and they answered me with a rude tune. Too bad I already brought this car and driving for so long, but I will never buy from here again, and never recommend anyone either, especially these young people who has no experience with these dealers, they will rape you off. PS: After i left this review, kept calling me for three days, and leave a message with a very IMPATIENT TONE TO MUMBLE EVERYTHING ask me to just call back and see if can work something out. This person did not address anything I write in, either apologies what they did wrong. Not only that, they kept sent me a 5% OFF COUPLE FOR MIN $115 SPEND for routine maintenance. WHY DO I NEED A ROUTINE MAINTENANCE FOR A CAR JUST BROUGHT SIX MONTH AND WITHIN THEIR WARRANTY? ONLY EXPLANATION IS THEY DIDNT DO A GOOD JOB BEFORE SELL THIS CAR, SO YOU NEED GO BACK AND SPEND SOME MORE!!!!!! CANT EVEN DO A WINDOW WIPER CHANGE, NOT TRUST ANYTHING ELSE!

I came to the dealership pretty much knowing exactly the car and options I wanted. I realized my configuration would probably mean a special order, and that turned out to be the case. Erik offered me a test drive of a V6 manual Camaro, as this dealership does not offer V8 test drives for the exact reasons you might guess. Erik was courteous and helpful in the ordering process. I was quoted 6-8 weeks until delivery, which ended up being a little more than 10. I wasnt in a rush, and I do understand that V8 production orders for Camaros are not accepted all weeks (there are weekly ordering constraints for certain models). Throughout this process Erik stayed in touch with me by text (my preferred method of communication). Ultimately Bennett delivered the car I wanted within my target time frame and at a price within the range projected by various online "true market price" pricing tools. I resisted the urge to pick the car up early, as that would mean an evening pick up. Erik understood, and we did a Saturday pick-up which allowed me a good look at the car. The transaction was pretty painless. I took the $500 discount for using their financing, which I can pay off in as little as 4 months. There was a TV giveaway (that really didnt apply to custom orders) that they also threw in. That was just smart marketing on their part, because it made me less inclined to squabble over the line items in the final contract where I know they have built-in profit (e.g. tags). I got no hard sells for accessories. The F&I guy went over the various warranty packages and I only took the extended warranty, which just about kills me because I do almost all car work myself. But I realize many electronic modules require proprietary dealer software to be replaced, and there are many computers in this car. Also my last GM had the evaporator coil go at 5 years, and that took me hours to replace. With that in mind, I rolled the dice on the extended warranty. So, cheapskate, educated, do-it-yourself car guy ultimately happy with this dealership experience!
