I shop at this Shaws location every now and then if I need something when I am up this end for apples. Pricing has declined considerably from levels they were at 2 years ago from writing this review. While some regular prices are still high, they do have far better sales than Market Basket or Hannaford down the street. While this is true, it is encouraging this store will turn around b/c they are starting to come out with unique products like they have a in-store roasted deli turkey at $7.99/lb that still tastes like all natural turkey but tastes much fresher and it has just the right moistness. Product quality is high too - I have not seen any inferior products - aside from those that are obviously marked down for quick sale.

The deli and fish counter clerks are always friendly and fast with your order. I like the mymixx coupons, especially the freebies. Usually have no problem finding what I need. I like that the produce is bulk and you can pick out what you want. I wont buy produce at Market Basket because they dont do that.

Its your everyday regular market. Nothing out of the ordinary. I had no problem finding things in the isles. I would however opt to get my greens from Hannaford in Londonderry.

They have some of the best meats around but they r a tad to expensive but a lot of their sales do match market baskets so look at their flyers.

I think Hanaford has better produce and meat, but Shaws isnt a bad store. Its never busy to a point where I wonder how it stays in business.
