I was a customer of Daves Pawn for about 5 years and never once had a single problem with them. Great family business who cares about good customers. Always offered fair value (and many times higher) for my items and offer great deals on items purchased. As far as the two bad ratings below, I think I would probably be a little condescending myself if I owned a pawn shop considering the type of people Ive seen in and out of there over the years. Get a job, get a life, get off the drugs and give a sh*! and maybe people wouldnt have to be rude to you. Pawn shops are a business where the owner takes a big risk handing out cash for peoples usually worthless junk and hopes to make profit by GOOD customers who actually pay the interest and return for their stuff. I bet you probably are a thief and thats why you were so offended in the first place. If I ever return to Helena Daves is the only place Ill go.

I have been doing business with Dave and his sons for the last year or better....I want to send out a very heart felt thank you to them for being the people they are....my ex-husband is terminally ill...he has huge prescription costs that we would not have been able to get for him without the help from Daves...they gave us more that fair offers on the stuff I brought in and have extended my extensions when i needed it..they were not only understanding but the care and respect they treated me with means a great deal to us..I will not do business with ANYONE else...I have went to some of the others and was treated exactly the way the poor reviews on here said....just one question...are you sure you were at Daves???...You guys are truly an asset to Helena and that is rare here!!!

Dave is great, so is his whole family/ crew that work for him. They are always helpful and willing to haggle (a must for a pawn shop) Got a great deal on a great gun there about 5 months ago, then I recently got laid off and with the way unemployment work , you have to go damn near a month without pay before you get a check. I was living check to check, trying to pay off CCs and other bills. He let me pawn the gun for 3/4 of what I paid for it to help me out w/ $$. Most pawn places give you at most 1/2 what somethings worth. I will always go here first to get stuff. A good family small business. My guess is these 2 bad reviews are written by idiots, sure if youre a dumbass or a crackhead, dont be surprised when youre treated like one.

I have been dealing with Dave, and his son for years. They are by far, the most square dealing, fairest people in the buisiness. There merchandise is always in great shape, and, they do stand by their guarantees. To the people who think Dave is arrogant, and treats everyone like they are a criminal, that is a very wrong estimate as to the mans character. And his son is carrying on the fine tradition of good service, and good merchandise. I not only think they are fine buisnessmen, but consider Dave and Matt, close, personal friends. Keep up the great job, guys!

Dave, the owner of Daves Pawn, is one of the worst pawnbrokers I have ever dealt with. He has no regard whatsoever for his customers needs, treats everyone who comes through the door like a potential thief, and is arrogant beyond compare. Not recommended at ALL. Try ;mou

Excellent service every time! Matt will treat you with respect, and importantly, your valuables with respect as well. Always a pleasure doing business here and I know I can trust them. Wouldnt go anywhere else in Helena or recommend anyone but this shop!

Matt, the new owner, is very fair. If you think its priced too high, let them know. You never know what treasures youll find. They seem to treat customers like a good friend. Check it out at least once.
