Buyer beware! As a mother of the bride I had searched exhaustively for the "perfect dress." I thought I had found it at Our Shop in Stillwater. (Although when I set up my appointment, I had asked to pull gold dresses to save time, the staff brought me everything but gold, my friend actually found the dress in the shop, not the staff). Although the dress off the rack was way too big,the color was the perfect gold I was looking for. But to order it, the staff their could not guarantee the color would be the same as they had been having trouble with the designer replicating the color of this particular dress. However, I was assured repeatedly, it could be easily altered to fit my size. Heres where it gets ugly...Although I could have taken the dress to be altered anywhere, the staff and owner suggested I use their shop in Crystal in case their were any issues, the zipper was coming apart and they acted like they were doing me a favor to fix it for free. I live in Woodbury area and and driving to Crystal during rush hour is no easy feat as this was only time I could get there, after work. Well, needless to say, after 5 trips to Crystal the dress still does not fit right. It bunches up in the back,(one person during the alteration process suggested I hold my hand on my hip to cover it). The dress itself was $450, alterations were $250 the dress looks awful and I have spent $700 for a dress I am embarrassed to wear. I have talked to the owner on several occasions who has told me there is nothing she can do, no compensation whatsoever, told me they had spent alot of time trying to fix this dress and that was it, she could offer me nothing more. My daughters wedding is six days away, great customer service right?, just what one needs, more stress six days before your daughters wedding. Clearly, this was not a dress made to be altered. Lets hope its dark enough in the church and reception venue so no one notices these awful flaws. An addendum: Your response is lame.... Today I bought a beautiful dress at a competitors shop four days before my daughters wedding, not what I want to be dealing with right now, especially since I bought the dress from you in September. You can have your dress back, in fact I will hand deliver it...My mother of the bride dresses have now totaled more than my daughters wedding dress. What a lousy way to do business, believe me, I will discourage anyone I know from shopping at your establishment. Thanks for the addition wedding stress.

Im not sure what was going on when the negative reviewer went in but my experience couldnt have been more different. I went in with a very low budget and clearly said I couldnt afford more than $500 for a dress. My sales lady was VERY nice about it and made every effort to think of dresses in the store (even OUTSIDE the bridal section, like prom and bridesmaid) that would work for my budget. When I liked a dress that was $650 she very nicely pointed out the price in case I had missed it so I wouldnt fall in love without noticing. I fully expected to be asked to wash my hands and wear a mask and was not treated rudely on either count. I also appreciated that she gave me her honest opinion about the dresses and was cheerful and helpful. I finally picked a $390 dollar prom dress (it was mostly white and lovely). When I asked if it was possible to do layaway she was also VERY nice about it and set me up with a layaway. When I forgot to come pay it off on time I called and they were so nice about it! Just said to come by when I could and it would be safely waiting for me. Oh and my mom was drinking water from a bottle in the sitting area and was not scolded at all... weird. I have no idea what could have happened with the "Disrespectful and Tacky" reviewers experience... cant imagine its a whole new staff in just a month. (I was in the shop in June of 2010)

I Said YES to the dress at OurShop in Stillwater! Thanks soooo much for an absolutely extraordinary experience filled with expertise. The store, the employees, the atmosphere, and the dress were spectacular. As a mother of the Bride I had been looking for way to long and was in crunch time. I hadnt been "wowed" by anything I had tried on in numerous shops, over numerous weeks. One call to OurShop and Beanie allayed all fears from first contact, and found me a dress I WANTED to wear and was EXCITED to wear. Galena was an expert in alterations and the dress turned to perfection on my body. It was a magical evening, with compliments galore. If you are looking for the ultimate experience in finding a dress, visit OurShop. The women are amazing, and the dresses Fabulous. The actual experience of finding the dress at OurShop and trying it on with Beanie, was as fulfilling and amazing as the dress itself. They have an uncanny ability to understand exactly what aspect of ones personality to emphasize in a dress. To the Ladies at OurShop in Stillwater and in Crystal......THANKS THANKS THANKS

This was the kind of experience that gives weddings a bad name. I am having a non-traditional wedding. Despite having called, made an appointment and discussing my needs, when I arrived with my party, there was tangible judgment as announcing I was wearing red. She then kicked me out of the bridal room into the general room and started running around completely flabbergasted. She only found one dress for me to try on and when I mentioned that she might not have what Im looking for, she said, "I absolutely agree," and practically pushed us out the door. Finally, there is a major discrepancy between the websites promises and what you actually come into at the shop. There are NOT plus-size dresses to try on. There are NOT multiple choices for mothers-of-the-bride to choose from. This is NOT a comfortable atmosphere for your party to feel special as you shop for this amazing event. And to top it all off, there was no respect for my time. They brought me in late and only managed to get one dress together in almost an hour. This was a trainwreck and I left in tears.

I went in for my first fitting this past July. I made my appt over the phone, and was very excited to go in. When I walked into my appointment, which was suppose to be 90 minutes, they mixed me up with another bride due to not asking me what my name was. After that was sorted out, we pulled dresses off the rack for me to try on. We attempted to put on 4 dresses that didnt fit due to them being too small. The lady failed to tell me, as I was pretty much stuck in a dress, that wedding dresses run 4 sizes small. Well that would have been nice to know BEFORE pulling the dresses. I ended up only trying on 3 dresses and was out of my appointment an hour early, they had nothing else to offer me. Unless your a size 6 or smaller, I wouldnt recommend this place. I also wouldnt recommend this pLace due to inexperienced staff and not many dress options.
