The dresses are beautiful! I bought my prom and wedding dress here. The associates are great. But, the management is terrible. They are rude and dont care about their customers. If you have a problem you might as well just give up on Normans doing anything to make it better. I bought my dress for my October wedding at Normans. I scheduled my first dress fitting on a Saturday morning. I didnt want to drive to Lebanon due to time, so I had my dress moved to Springfield. I live in Kansas City, so drove all the way down specifically for my appointment, which they scheduled for 9 am. When I arrived the store was locked and closed. I called the store no one answered, so I called the other location. They told me the Springfield location does not open until 10 and that the lady who does fittings usually doesnt get there until 11 am. If I had known I could have kept my dress at the Lebanon location and did my fitting there, but now my dress was locked in the Springfield location. I explained my situation and they just said, "Oh well". I had to get back to Kansas City, so I had my dad pick up my dress so I could get it fitted elsewhere. When he got there he asked what they were going to do to make the situation better since now I had to find someone else to alter my dress on top of paying for the gas to go to Springfield and back. Their response was that it was a "human error". Which they kept repeating as my dad tried to figure out a way to remedy the situation. This was the manager speaking, not an untrained associate. When I got my dress I checked that everything was in the bag and in one piece. I found a run in my lace on the bust area (I bought the dress new). My dress came with a flower, but I chose to buy a beaded belt instead. I guess in their minds that meant they could keep the flower (that I paid for) to sell in the store later. I called to have my flower returned. They acted like they didnt know what I was talking about, but finally agreed to send it to me.

I am the Maid of Honor for my best friends wedding this summer. We were beyond excited to come to Normans to try to find the perfect dress for her and were unfortunately extremely disappointed. The staff seemed to poke fun at her wanting to find a certain style within the price point she had. When concerns or dislikes of dresses were brought to the attention of the consultant they were blown off instead of being listened to and used as a way to help narrow down dress style. A comment was also made to the bride about friends not pulling dresses for her because its bothersome and "never works out well" for the staff after I had asked how much a dress out in the front of the store on display was, knowing that it was a style she loved. When the bride would say she would like a certain aspect of a dress our consultant would immediately tell her to purchase it because, "if you like it you should just buy it." We left feeling like little more than another sale to add to a commission check and extremely discouraged. Im hoping that perhaps our consultant and other staff were just having an off day and other brides didnt experience this same treatment.

I made an appointment over a month in advance for my bridesmaids to try on dresses at Normans Bridal downtown. They called the day before to confirm and make sure they knew how many girls would be trying on. Upon walking in and saying we were there for an appointment they already knew my name and immediately began getting information on what the girls were interested in wearing. We changed our minds about style 500 times and the consultant never once seem frustrated or annoyed. When we began to narrow it down between just a few dresses she gave the girls and I space to chat and didnt push at all about making a purchase immediately. We ended up buying the dresses and the consultant was even more helpful in helping the girls chose the right sizes. After such an attrocious appointment earlier that day at another salon I cannot begin to express my gratitude to Normans for giving us a great experience and making us feel as though our business is valued.

Normans bridal is absolutely amazing!!!!! I just bought my dress there today and my consultant, Katie Jankovitz was really just incredible! She knew exactly what I was going for and nailed it! I even went to another bridal store to make sure I was making the right choice.... My mom, mother-in-law to be and I RAN back to Normans after trying on a couple dresses at another boutique downtown. The difference in quality, customer service, the professionalism and just the feel of the whole shop was night and day. Not to mention the amazing selection Normans has. If anyone has a bad word to say about this place, they are crazy. When we got back, we put my dress back on and it was a done deal. Katie was really patient and understanding with me lol and made it really fun. Gotta request her, this girl knows her stuff!! Love, love, loved my experience here; I cant recommend them enough!!!!! Thank you for my dress, Katie!!

Normans Bridal did not even deserve a one star. It was just the lowest rating I could choose. My daughter purchased her prom dress there and it does look great. We had a great experience there last year. Teenagers will be teenagers and my daughter and her boyfriend broke up. Now she is not going to prom at all since it is only one week away. I called to explain the situation and ask if the dress could be return since it had not been altered in any way. They told me that all sales are final and they do not do refunds. That was not the worst part. After the girl on the phone said that she started to giggle. REALLY?!? How rude! As if to have spent $440.03 on a dress that will never be worn along with my daughters heart being broken isnt bad enough, then to be laughed at is beyond belief. I was planning on purchasing more dresses from them in the future but will now be shopping elswere.

I went into this place for a fitting last week, I was discouraged and nervous because I had previously not had a great experience at Davids Bridal. I wasnt overly pleased upon arrival because my assigned stylist was busy and couldnt take Me regardless of me having scheduled couple weeks before. I was put in the back in a room alone. However the girl that took me on, Lexus, was pretty great. I told her the style I wanted and my price range and she found me the nearly exact dress I was looking for and perfect for my budget. It was the only dress I tried on and I bought it. She was very encouraging and nice. Kind of bummed the dress was several sizes too small I couldnt even get it on my arms so I really was unable to get a true feel for it. So Im hoping for the best and trusting her, cant wait to see it.

I feel bad posting this because I ended up finding a dress I loved in my price ranges...but, I had a terrible experience. it mightve been the consultant I had but I left very upset. she felt like she had to tell me, multiple times I might add, that I should loose weight so I can actually fit into the dresses. and I felt like she was trying to make me settle as soon as I put on the first dress. she brought up multiple times that Im not going to fit into anything they have, Im too big for their dresses. She made me feel disgusting. I wanted to leave crying but I loved the dress. I cant remember her name, penny or patty maybe. the dress was the only good part of my appointment. I understand that they make commission, but she also brought in a dress that was twice my price range.
