When I first went in to Ella Weiss I tried on several dresses and found none that worked out. The seamstress recommended making me a dress since I only had two and a half months until my wedding. I was never given a quote for my dress in writing but told that they would stay within my written budget. After waiting for the seamstress to order material she realized it was too late so I had to find my own material. I was told, at that time, that by buying my own material the dress would be cheaper since they werent supplying it, and would just be charged for the labor. After spending several hundred dollars on material they informed me the week before the wedding that they were now not going to take off for me having to buy all my own material. The seamstress had put everything off for so long that she also told me repeatedly that she was not going to have time to put the detail in the dress that had been initially agreed upon. Since it was not ready to pick up until two hours before I had to leave for the wedding, and left with no other options, I payed them what they wanted. Needless to say, I was very upset during the whole process. After everything was over I decided, that while I knew I couldnt get any money back, I should make a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Shortly afterwards, I received a letter threatening to sue me for making false and defamatory statements. Not only did doing business with Ella Weiss cause much upset and stress for my wedding, but I find it very distasteful that they feel they have to take legal action for me trying to share my experience.

Ella Weiss is a Brides dream! I did a lot of research looking into bridal stores, and this is the BEST. When I arrived I was treated like royalty. My wedding date was coming up soon so I looked at all the sale and sample dresses. These dresses should be in a museum... The fine detail and quality is amazing. And on top of that I was floored by the affordability of the dresses. They put places like Davids Bridal to shame.. I was on a tight budget and they had tons of dresses for me to choose from.. I was in there for about four hours! Never was rushed at all! Had a glass of champagne .... had plenty of room to change with guests sitting right outside the dressing room.. The accessories were hand made and just beautiful... I had the perfect sales lady, Nicole! She was very sweet and patient. Bridesmaid dresses were wonderful quality as well. When you walk into Ella Weiss it is everything they claim to be. You really feel like you are in a boutique in New York. Very professional and chic. Everything is very well thought out ..down to the tissue paper in the bathroom.. I am putting a pretty long review because I searched high and low for the perfect bridal store.. and if you are doing that.. your search is OVER! Book your appointment you wont be sorry :)

Well first, I had been to every dress shop in Springfield and in Branson. My mom and I walked into Ella Weiss thinking it was way out of our league. The store is decorated so nicely, and looks beautiful. But the staff sat down with us and asked what I wanted in my dress. I told them, and the girl that helped me, Lauren, found exactly what I was looking for in my dress. I tried on over 15 gowns, and I found THE DRESS. It was a very reasonable price for the dress that I was getting. After being to every dress shop in springfield and surrounding areas, Ella Weiss could not be beat in my book. I have been treated all sorts of different ways by consultants in the dress shops, but Ella Weiss did an outstanding job with their customer service. I would absolutly recommend them to anyone wanting to find a wedding dress. The best part is, As we were getting ready to pay for the dress, I reached in a fish bowl that they have by the counter, and pulled out a piece of paper that said "$500 off your wedding gown". ;) Yeah, they were still the sweetest people to me even after I pulled that. Defianatly go here before choosing your wedding gown. You wont regret it.

I had a wonderful experience at Ella Weiss. I live in Kansas City, Missouri and had previously gone to several shops in the city. Instead of talking about what those shops did wrong, I want to talk about the great service and expertise Ella Weiss (Stephanie) gave me in my wedding dress shopping experience. Im busty and specifically told every wedding shop I had gone to that I did not want a strapless gown, that I wanted something with lace, but was willing to try on anything. Stephanie listened to my request and only pulled me dresses that had straps and were conscious of my bigger bust. I tried on several dresses and actually had a hard time choosing between the many styles that they offered. For being such a small shop they had TONS more options than in Kansas City and the service was VERY attentive and helpful through the whole process. Finding your wedding dress was a special experience from me and it wouldnt have been the same without Stephanie at Ella Weiss Bridal Shop.

this was the worst experience of dress shopping and ended with my maid-of-honer crying! the women who work that where so pushy and controlling, they refused to let me slid the dress on over my head saying my (modiste at that time) makeup would ruin there dresses, now here is the painful part i have curves a hourglass figure so stepping in to a dress dose not work i tried to explain this (much to my embarrassment) and they continued to treat me like i was not good enough for there dresses and forced me to step in to a dress that i could not get over my hips this was so embarrassing and unprofessional that my size 4 maid-of-honer asked to leave and was crying by the time we walked out of the store. the sad thing is i could have bough every dress in the store if i wanted to and thay still treated me like i was not good enough for there contour store.

Went here a few weeks ago with my sister to try on dresses. We walked in and the front desk (maybe the only one who was working that day) immediately started telling us where we could find "cheap" gowns. We never once said that we wanted anything cheap, anything affordable, used, ect. We did NOT just come from the gym or look all nasty. It was the most bizarre thing. She told us to try Craigslist and a few other local shops. I would like her to know that I purchased a Vera Wang gown from a Saint Louis bridal store. It was Saturday, Oct 24th that i visited Ella Weiss. Next time learn your clientele before you steer them elsewhere. I do not recommend this business to anyone.

Ella Weiss was the absolute best dress shopping experience! I made an appointment for a Saturday morning and they were happy to have me, even though they were VERY busy that morning. All the consultants were so sweet and encouraging, and I could definitely tell they knew their stock so well and could find exactly what I was looking for. I worked with Paula (who is a complete sweetheart and joy to work with), and she captured my style and vision so quickly and beautiful. If you are looking for a more budget-friendly dress, definitely check out their sample sizes on the back wall!
