I own a local repair shop and car dealership and we service Toyota and other manufacturers hybrid systems. From time to time, we need to have a Toyota technician use the proper Toyota scanner to help diagnose or confirm an issue with a vehicle. This makes vehicle number three that we have been either way over charged for, or the vehicle was misdiagnosed. The first job we had to approve 2 hours of diagnostic time at $125 per hour to test what we suspected as a hybrid battery issue and just by chance, the technician used exactly two hours of time to tell us, yes, its the battery. Seems strange it took exactly two hours, we can test voltage on all cells in about 20-30 minutes. This is the last time we ever used the dealership to reassure what we had already confirmed at the cost of $250. I talked with Steve and he assured me his technician spent all of that time on the car. He must have had lunch in the trunk while doing the testing. Enough of that, now on to vehicle #2. We had an issue with a power steering system on another generation 1 Prius. We had the diagnostic pinpointed to two possible causes, but didnt have the proper scanner to condemn one or the other. We sent it to Luther Brookdale Toyota to have it pinpointed and get this, they had a 50/50 chance to diagnose it properly and they told us it was the steering gear and it was not. It was the computer, as we suspected. Another $250 gone and it wasnt even the correct diagnosis. Fail #2. Now, the latest and the one that inspired me to finally write this. We brought a 2009 Prius to the dealer last week with a terrible shutter/vibration when coming to a stop. It started as being intermittent, but by the time we brought it to the dealer, it did it every time regardless of it being hot or cold. They called us the next day and told us there was nothing wrong with it, and it would be around $140. I had our lead technician pick it up and go figure, he paid them and just by chance, it acted up the second it left the lot. He immediately brought it back and they wanted to charge us another $140 to test drive it again. We told them they are crazy to even ask and they agreed to give it another test drive. What do you know.....it did it!! So now that we got the technician to verify that it had in issue, here is the best part. He said the shutter/vibration was a misfire from the engine. This is really funny considering that the engine was not running when it acted up. This was expressed to the service department which they just shrugged off as whatever. If you want a free cup of gourmet coffee, a very nice waiting room and a service adviser who has never seen the under side of a hood that will BS you with what he or she doesnt know, I dont blame you. This dealership is really great on the inside and its hard not to like it there. If you want your car fixed or maintained at an affordable rate by technicians who take pride in what they do without all the overhead, especially if you need some real work done, I would seek an affordable independent shop somewhere else that you can trust.

Sooo... Let me first start out by saying that the beginning of 2016 just had to be the worse for me. Both of my 2 cars had broken down on me. So I was looking online for cars. I originally wanted another car from the Honda dealer right next to the Toyota dealer. But unfortunately, when my husband and I got there, there was already a "sold" sign hanging on the rear view mirror. So we made our way next door. My husband wanted me to buy a Corolla, so we were looking around on the lot and Enrique came by and asked us if we needed help. He helped us and found the correct Corolla that we had found online. I test drove it, liked everything about it... only thing was, just was not feeling the space in the front. It was just too small and tight for me. When we got back to the dealer, Enrique did not pressure me into buying it. Instead, he asked me what I would like. So I said I would prefer a Camry over a Corolla. He said if we dont mind the price, he do remember them having a Camry for $300 more. We then went looking for it, but couldnt find it out on the lot. I did spot my Camry at first sight as we walked pass. That was the first one that caught my eyes and attention. I asked for all the prices on all of the white Camrys (yes, white is my fave color). He was nice enough to look them all up on the pieces of paper he was carrying. They were all a little over my price range. So we got back to the Camry I first laid eyes on. And it was within my range. We test drove it. Came back. Again, was not pressured into buying it. But I told him I would take. He was very nice, friendly, polite, and helpful the whole time he was helping us. He even helped us set up our bluetooth from our phones to my car. He also went through all the options and details of the interior of the car to us. In the end, I got the car I wanted, not the car I was pressured to buy, like how I experienced before at other places. This has got to be the best experience in all my car buyings. And all the staffs there were really friendly too. I would totally recommend to all my friends and families.

Extremely satisfied, outstanding service - top notch! On February 22, 2016, I contacted Luther Brookdale Toyota & Scion with a request for information. A friend had referred me to this dealership because he had had such a good experience there. I had done some research and knew my price range and had some features in mind that I really wanted. Very quickly I was put in touch with Amanda Ciccarelli. After she determined what I was looking for, she put together a side by side comparison of the vehicle models that I was interested in and emailed it to me for my review. When Amanda found out that I lived 25 miles away from the dealership and since she lived near me, she offered to bring my choice of vehicle to my house for me to test drive! We handled most of the purchase transaction by phone and email and I completed an application for financing online. Everything was ready to go when I picked up my new car on February 27th! The entire process from start to finish was painless and took only a few hours in total. The vehicle that I purchased did not come with heated seats and Amanda once again offered personalized service by dropping a loaner car off at my house before she went to work, and driving my vehicle to/from the dealership in order to have the heated seats installed. That’s what I call phenomenal customer service! Overall, my experience with Luther Brookdale Toyota & Scion was A+++. I could not have been happier with the service that I received! Amanda was a pleasure to work with. She made me feel like I was her top priority even though I am sure she had plenty of other things she was working on. Its nice to find folks who provide wonderful customer service!
