AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE! Please, go literally ANYWHERE else!!!!! It has been nothing but nightmarish events, followed by the WORST customer service Ive ever experienced. I would give zero stars if this was an option. We were measured for dresses on Jan 1st. They didnt come in until May 19th. My dress had been damaged and was sent back.. we were told it would be two weeks until it would return. Two weeks and five days later, no calls. I finally called and was given nothing but excuses for why the dress wasnt there ("We said approximately two weeks.", "A box came in this morning but I havent looked to see if it is your dress.", "We need your dress to be perfect.") The dress came in two days after my call. I rushed to pick it up between shifts at my two different jobs and didnt try it on until I got to the seamstress for alterations... it was 3 inches from zipping. Then, the seamstress noticed the stitching was all the way to the edge of the fabric and she barely had anything to work with. I later found out that the owner of the business had called the seamstress to talk about me behind my back, offer MORE excuses to her, and accuse me of making up that the dress didnt fit. The seamstress assured her it was true. And then the seamstress relayed this onto me. I demanded some sort of compensation, after nothing was offered and no apology was given (only defensive remarks and excuses. For example, because a French zipper is used, it required more people to zip than I had. Also she didnt really care if the dress didnt fit because I had already signed the release of the dress without trying it on since I was rushing). This is after I had to do ALL of the communication. I was given a $25 check which I thought was a little insulting. Do not go here. These people DO NOT care about you and will not go the extra mile to help you out. They are not dependable, have awful customer service, are incredibly unprofessional.

Amazing. Hands down the best experience! I felt like they really cared about my needs and interest in what I was looking for. She didnt pull dresses that were out of my price range trying to up sell anything. They let me stay in the dresses as long as I wanted and were very honest with me. When I would ask a question about making changes to any of the dresses they were very creative and even called the designers to verify that it could be done. They didnt make any promises without knowing for absolute certain that it was an option. I love that its a family run business, they seemed to know me and my family when we came in several times. Even calling Jill, the owner, on the phone I said my name and she immediately knew who I was. The space is smaller than anywhere else Ive tried on but it didnt have an impact on my decision to order my dress through them. I did have to wait my turn for the large mirror but it gave me an opportunity to look at veils and other accessories that would match my dress. I also would like to comment on one of the previous reviews about them marking up their prices. I have to absolutely disagree with that statement. I checked other salons for the same dress and Brides of France was the same price and even lower than some of the other salons I called. I am so glad that I purchased my dress from them and would do it again in a heart beat.

Loved this store. My mother, sister, and I made this our last stop on the first and only day we went bridal dress shopping and were very impressed. We went to the Edina location and were very impressed by the staff and the selection of beautiful dresses. The only line they carry- La Sposa- provides beautiful couture dresses that fit wonderfully. You can tell the quality of the dresses are top-notch, and while they are a little bit pricier (the prices look to range between $1000-$2500 from what I saw), they are definetly worth it. It is a small boutique and when we first walked in, I was sure we werent going to find anything, but ALL the dresses they carry are so beautiful, even if the selection is smaller, you will still have plenty to try on. I worked with Jill and you could tell she loves her job and loves to play dress-up with her clients. I have been in there several times with friends to show my dress and they have always been inviting. I very much love my dress and cant wait to wear it. Go any day but Saturday and you will probably be the only one in the store, where you dont feel rushed or akward to show strangers the different dresses you try on. Staff truley made us enjoy dress shopping for the first time all day- thank you so much! Would recommend you to anyone!

Buyer Beware.... Too small, overpriced, and terrible customer service. I would never recommend this place to a friend. The shop only carries 2 designers with a very limited selection, not much to try on. Many of the dresses are dirty and ripped. The shop is tiny and crowded. There is only 1 mirror and 2 tiny changing rooms with barely any room to move around. There is no place for your friends or family to sit. If you plan to take more than 1 person with you dress shopping, this is NOT the place. I found the prices to be much higher than others. For example, one Paloma Blanca sample dress was $2,750 at Brides of France, but I called 5 other shops in the area and prices were $2,300-2,400 for a brand new dress in the same style. The designers recommended price is about $2,400 -- the Brides of France markup is high. I personally had a bad experience there. You cant make an appointment, you just have to stand around in the cramped, tiny shop waiting for someone to pay attention to you. The sales women are pushy and rude. Its amateur hour in there. If you are looking for a sophisticated shop, this is definitely NOT it.

I walked in the door with my wife and was greeted with a judgmental look of disapproval from an elderly woman who was altering a wedding dress. Rather than asking how she could help, she directed us out of her store and down the street to a different (less expensive) wedding shop. My tasks earlier in the afternoon had me dressed in dirty jeans and flannel and it was made quite clear to both my wife and I that we were the wrong type of millionaires for her shop. I told the woman that we were interested in alterations and was told that they only did wedding dresses as though I was not smart enough to know that. I am a 56 year old retired software engineer with a daughter who needs wedding dress alterations. Had I walked in the door wearing a suite and tie I know my experience here would have been different. If youve spent the day doing volunteer yard work for the elderly, be prepared to be treated like a bum. Ill go somewhere else.

This place was by far the worst experience. I set out to find my wedding dress with my mom and dad and group with me. We got there and the lady who helped me was very cold and uninviting; very in and out not allowing much time or discussion for each dress (there was no one else in the store except her friend). We were trying to discuss a place to eat after i was done trying on dresses when the lady interrupted wishing us luck with our continued search (obviously requesting that we leave). Again, there was no on else in the store. I went in there with a budget of $500, and I am not sure if that was why she didnt want to give me the time of day or what; but it put a huge damper in what is supposed to be a once in a life time experience with my family. I would never recommend this place to anyone. A bride is a bride and should be treated as such. Go to Bridal Aisle... you will be treated wonderfully there..
